    I'd be happy with 1lb a week, so that's 5lb in total.

The weight didn't go on in a day, so I know it won't come off in a day. I love my wine at the weekends and I refuse to give that up :j

Wonderful, I have that down so the next time I post the list you will be on it :j

Hi l need to lose 5st altogether, but l would like to get back where l was at xmas, 14st 4lbs.l have fruit & natural yoghurt for breakfast, lunch is salad or homemade soup, dinner is 125g meat which is a quarter of the plate another quarter is potatoes /pasta /rice and half the plate is veg. i don't eat bread anymore & i eat more than 5 a day fruit & veg. l'm hoping to lose 1lb a week at least.

I'm not sure if I asked if you want to be in the challenge - if you do should I put you down for 5lbs to lose?

Wow Knit Witch, I've just seen your signature. 23 NSD's in August. Now that is some self-control! I'm very impressed. Do you live in the middle of nowhere? ;)

Having no money and not being able to walk out to places means lots of NSDs (actually I am throwing the money I save at my debts!)

First day back at work today after my long weekend, eating not great either- cant seem to get my head around things at the moment!

Im really considering low carb/only natural food ive done something like this before and although i felt wonderful its very very hard not to be tempted!

    Today:

B: 2 wholemeal seeded toast, peanut butter, banana
    S: Natural nut bar
L: HM cheese and ham salad with hummous, blueberries & greek yog, melon
S: Apple and a pot of rice pudding
T: Pork chop HG beans and mash with gravy
    S: Disco biscuit

Far far too many sweet snacks today

This time I want to cut out all the 0% fat yoghurts etc that I was eating and try to eat nice, tasty things that will be more satisfying...but hopefully in smaller amounts.

You need to speak to officeguru, she's the expert in that :)

Hi ellie99. l had a stroke last year, having been vastly obese. last sept my cholesterol was 4.5, it's now 4.8 & it has to come down, I take 12 tablets a day including statins & warfarin.I can't exercise much as l have 2 slipped discs & osteoarthritis. I'm getting physio finally, so that should help.

Wow outtawork, that's a lot to contend with, you have my commiserations. I have disc problems too, why can't they stay where they're meant to? :)

    today I've had

    B: granola, ss milk
L: wm pitta bread, with tomato puree and cheese
    S: choc mousse
D: chicken chasseur, few roasties, big pile of veggies
E: 2 mile walk, didn't really feel like it, but thought it won't be long until it's not nice and mild outside, so should make the most of it.

I've decided today to eat a little more...when I wasn't losing a few weeks ago, I went on mfp, who recommend 1200 calories for sedentary people. I've lost 5lbs since then, and it wasn't a big drop from what I was having before.
But there's a lot of conflicting advice...some people say 1200 cals is far too low, others says it's what's needed to get the losses. I don't know the answer, but I'm wondering if the fact that I've been eating less is why I feel run down, and haven't been well. I suspect if I eat more, I'll stop losing, but I want to try it, and when DS1 is around tempting me seems a good time to do it.
    Any opinions gratefully received :)

And OG, I got plenty of protein in today :D

Ellie99, I think you could try upping your calories a little. Sometimes I find it can give your body a bit of a shake up and get things going in the right direction again :)

    Food today....

B: Porridge with semi-skimmed milk with a handful of raisins thrown in.

L: 2 slices soya & linseed bread toasted with spread and peanut butter. Some pineapple pieces.

D: Roast chicken, mash, 1 small roastie, stuffing, peas, carrots & gravy.

    Plenty of tea also :D
