Hi Sparrer JackieO and Meanmarie and all the others, it is good to 'see' so many old online friends!

    Here's me today:

B: egg poached in tomato and mushroom sauce
L: mixed salad, goat cheese, thin rye bread slice
S: yogurt, blueberries, a few almonds and Brazil nuts
D: nut burgers, steamed French beans, greens
DOWNFALL: homemade walnut liqueur on vanilla ice cream

Just could not resist it, it has been sitting there for 6 weeks maturing and it was so good when we opened it, I had to have it on ice cream. Hope I haven't undone my healthy eating too badly.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Hi ellie99. l had a stroke last year, having been vastly obese. last sept my cholesterol was 4.5, it's now 4.8 & it has to come down, I take 12 tablets a day including statins & warfarin.I can't exercise much as l have 2 slipped discs & osteoarthritis. I'm getting physio finally, so that should help.

    I'd be happy with 1lb a week, so that's 5lb in total.

The weight didn't go on in a day, so I know it won't come off in a day. I love my wine at the weekends and I refuse to give that up :j
  • Hi and welcome to newbies and nice to see JackieO, Caterina, Meanmarie and sparrer - I remember you all from when the thread was started by frogga a few years ago.

    Today hasn't been bad:

    Breakfast - Porridge with sweetner

Lunch - half a bagel with tuna and salad

Dinner - boiled pasta with hm tomato sauce and a sprinkling of parmesan cheese.

I was full after dinner but quickly got hungry again so have just had a small piece of onion bread with a slice of beef and a cheese slice on:o

tomorrow I am definitely getting back on it properly! I plan to do a meal plan and everything!!

Also discovered yet another reason why I should lose weight...
I have a small back garden but quite private, and my neighbours would have to be really craning their necks out their upstairs windows to see my washing line...so I hang everything out. So today I hang out all my giant Bridget Jones pants...and completely unexpectedly 2 young men arrived to take the top off a tree in my garden...right beside my washing line...oh the embarrassment, they might not have cared, but I did :rotfl:
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I know exactly what you mean, ellie!

I think I'm about the same weight as you, and it is hard but we will do it this time!

Theatregirl - sorry to hear of your sad anniversary - sending lots of hugs.

Savesummore - I've been MIA for a few days and missed your birthday :o hope you had a lovely day :)

Officeguru - I really love your attitude to weight loss - you should write a book...........

Had a really hectic few days, as DD1 has a new house which needs lots of work  so I've been painting etc. - from morning 'til night today. I'm hoping it will burn off some of the fat ;)

    Hi and welcome!

    sounds like a good plan!

Breakfast was a slice of onion bread, follwed by another slice, with two slices of monterey jack cheese (I LOVE monterey jack):o:o

Lunch won't happen because of the large breakfast and dinner is chicken bacon and avocado salad.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Afternoon all, still plodding on here. I'm quite happy because I've managed to sts over the bank holiday weekend (not declaring anything, just sharing ;)). Weekends are often hard and an extra day just means extra pressure to treat myself. Hopefully the rest of the week will be OK too.

Oh, I did get a punnet of cherry tomatoes reduced to 20p in the shop this morning so I can "pig out" on them ;)
