250ml of milk is probably what I thought I was having.....

The truth is double that :rotfl:

So sounds like you are doing very well!

Does MFP give a targer for sugar? I registered but havent gotten around to using it yet.

Yes it's Thursday daisiegg :) (and sending you lots of willpower vibes for when the time is right for you...you've got to enjoy your holidays!)

Have managed a walk to the shops this morning, a lot slower and stiffer than yesterday...after everything I got done yesterday, I am, as they say, paying for it today :( It was a right slow plod, and raining a bit too, so sweating in a raincoat (what a lovely look :rotfl:)
Felt I needed to make the effort though, a sneaky stand on the scales today shows no movement :(

For those on MFP, are you over on your sugar every day?
I'm not worrying about it, but I'm over on the sugar every day.
Fozziebear, I measured my milk yesterday, and I used a tiny bit over 250 mls (which is what my jug holds). So instead of putting in every cup of tea I have, today I put in 300 mls of milk to cover the day. With the milk and a smallish portion of granola, I'm over already! It's got to be unreasonable to expect that I won't have any more sugar at all today, it's hidden in lots of things?

OG, I buy all my jeans online, I haven't tried jeans on in a shop for many years...I'm shuddering just thinking about it :rotfl:

It gave me a target of 28 (grams?)...I'm at 51 today, mostly from granola, a lf yoghurt, and milk, and a few from veg in a salad.

Now they're all things I consider fairly healthy, and am happy to include in my diet, so I'm not going to stress over it. I NEED my granola, it makes my insides work properly..sorry if TMI :)

(Maybe I should put in a days menu from before I started to lose weight, that would give me a shock! I wonder how much sugar is in a large bar of popping candy chocolate :rotfl:)

ETA: I couldn't resist looking...a whole bar of my new favourite choc is 1010 calories, and 117g of sugar

Thanks for the best wishes everyone :)

Just wondering, does anyone else pay way too much attention to the size on clothing?

I had a roller coaster ride of emotions in the Monsoon changing rooms today when I needed a Size 12 in one dress......but couldn't get the zip up on a Size 16 in a different one! The ridiculous thing is, when I was standing in my underwear after fitting comfortable in the Size 12, I felt really good and looked in the mirror and thought I looked nice. Then, after having not been able to zip up the 16, I looked in the mirror at myself in my undies and nearly cried because I looked so gross! And this is in the space of about 4 minutes....isn't it ridiculous?!

You should just have put the size 12 back on daisiegg..cheered yourself up again!

I know it's easier said than done, but we should all really take no notice of size labels...as you've proved today, even one shop varies wildly...you'd think the shops would realise it's wrong, and that it probably affects their sales because customers get disheartened.

I occasionally shopped in Monsoon when I was a size 12/14, and from what I remember, they were quite small sizes.
Last summer I bought a dress and 2 skirts in their sale, in a size14 "to diet into"..,I am NEVER doing that again, what a waste of money, I can't get them on :o (I know why I bought them though, they represent the person I want to be, wearing a sophisticated and sexy skirt, instead of my usual boots and jeans!)
Maybe I should hang them on the wardrobe :)

Yet another programme on itv right now, about why we're fat because we eat too much fat and sugar...I think the tv companies see losing weight as an easy option programme nowadays...how many times do we need telling the same thing?

(They were in a shopping mall, offering people a plate of chocolate or a plate of veggies, to prove we pick the wrong things. What happened to you can eat what you want in moderation? One woman chose choc and said she didn't feel guilty at all..good for her!)

im not downstairs reading this as all the talk of steak bakes was making my mouth water, not a savoury snacker really but they are very yummy!

even though have only just started i have a 1lb loss this week hopefully can improve with a little more determination next week.

its horrible isn't it,i avoid trying on in shops like the plague for that very reason even if it means having to go back to return items,or ive even gone in not been sure and left as don't want to be feeling horrible ! sizing is horrible,my mum got me a pair of jeans from Sainsburys when had on offer and fit really nicley which doesn't happen often due to my pear shape making them gape at the back. I liked the fit so much and as were only £12 fp thought i would go get another pair(i live in jeans) got them home tried on and didn't fit couldn't even get them all the way up my thighs! Made me feel horrible so feel you anguish i think there should be a standardized sizing system that is properly kept to so at least you know where you are from one shop to even item to the next!
