Morning all :-)
Yesterdays dinner was changed from egg salad to duck salad as I found two duck legs in the freezer so treated myself. Well drained so I have some duck fat in the freezer for future use, and skin off, much to dog's delight
B - F&F, ff Greek style yogurt, fresh raspberries from garden - a feast!
D - will definitely be egg salad, need use up the hb egg which has been in the fridge for a week.
T - usual 3 crackerbread
S - melon, grapes, orange
E - 1x10 mins done, more to follow. Also need get back outside to do some more tidying prior to garden being re-designed
Have a sunny day :-)
(diy smilies cos the real ones have stopped working)0 -
I'll be doing my weigh-in tomorrow as I've got Friday off work and won't be switching the computer on until the evening and, despite having a bit of an off week, I'm looking good for another pound lost, which will put me over half way to my challenge target. :j
Having said that:
B - two slices of seedy bread with butter and peanut butter
L - chicken, stuffing and lettuce sandwich with a very thin spreading of chilli mayo; LF blueberry yoghurt; bunch of grapes
D - broad bean and smoked goat's cheese fritters with... something. Salad seems the most logical option but I think I'm going to turn into a rabbit if I eat any more lettuce, so I might try and find something else instead!Back after a very long break!0 -
Morning all (just)
Another trip to dentist this morning for the 2nd of 2 fillings. Fortunately this time wasnt as bad as the last - dont know if I was just better prepared or because he didnt have to do as much work to the other side, but at least I wasnt almost screaming! Just one injection and five minutes of cleaning, filling itself, etc.
So another day of soft food for me.
b (before I went out) - special k cereal bar, and then a bowl of sugary porridge when I got back.
l - hm portion of pasta with meatballs and pepperoni, slice of bread with spread.
d - breaded plaice fillet, mushy peas, mash potato.
s - might have an ice cream to sooth my gums....0 -

Evening everyone
Well I may have been restrained yesterday, but I made up for it today!
My friend came to visit, and she brought...more cakes!
(Because she knows I'm lazy in the kitchen and thought I wouldn't bother)
So breakfast was granola, lunch was cake, then a banana, dinner was chicken kiev and new potatoes, then family came to visit and I had 2 more cakes (well, there were 2 different kinds
)
Howeverrrr...I kept count, and I came in at 1200 calories, so it could have been a lot worse.
Also walked for nearly an hour...got slower as I went along, but it was nice, haven't been out in the countryside for a while.
ETA: ha ha , me too daisiegg!
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0 -
Evening all (I sound like Dixon of Dock Green :rotfl:) ( You bairns will be wondering what is she on about!)
Short work day today - only 5 and a bit hours, so...
B- work day breakfast - muesli, Greek yog, honey, soya milk
L- a shortbread biscuit I found at work, 'cause I didn't get a break before I left at 2.30, then a Ryvita crispbread with cottage cheese and a banana when I got home
D- Quorn spag bol, ff yog, 2 of my birthday chocs (only 2 left now) half lemonade/half fizzy water to drink while making the dinner to stop me eating the cakes I'd made when I got home
S- crispbread with fruit spread
Not enough water today as I forget when I'm busy!
After work and my quick lunch at 3pm, I baked a fruit bran loaf, a banana loaf and a lemon drizzle traybake. The banana loaf is now in the freezer, and the lemon cake is for the coffee morning. The fruit loaf is for us - it has no fat or eggs in it, just dried fruit, All Bran, sugar, milk and flour and spice.
After dinner, I got the ironing all done while everyone was out and I could have the TV to myself!
So - no proper exercise, but busy enough to count for something I hope.
TG and OG - I hope your parents/in-laws are all managing a bit better now. They are a worry - it's like the tables are turned on us when they get older - we worry more about them, instead of them worrying about us when we were younger, although I'm sure they still think of us as their little children at times.
Meds - our chemist used to get the weekly prescription for DMiL and fill a dispensing box, so the carers knew what to give and when. We had 3 boxes on the go - one being used, one at the chemist waiting to be filled and a crossover one. It was started because once she took around 20 Senokots over a weekend, with the expected results, but she had dementia and wasn't able to understand what day or time of day it was. We had fantastic carers for her, so I hope that you get good ones OG, it makes a big difference.2025 Fashion on the ration

not a bad day today
B: bran flakes and chopped banana and skimmed milk
L: jacket spud with a very small amount of grated cheese (a fraction of what I would normally have ) with a dribble of sweet chilli sauce to give it a bit of flavoura tin of Tuscan soup I found it the cupboard which is really thick and chunky with lots of different bean.It was a dented tin that had been reduced and was so nice I may make some HM stuff myself
a lao fat yoghurt for pud
No snacks at all as I have been far too busy rushing around getting ready for my holiday
Exercise (see above ):):)
Lots of water and only four cups of tea today .I am so hoping it will start to shift.I must admit I'm not feeling hungry at all although I am getting cheese withdrawal symtoms:) Especially as my grandson wanted a cheese toastie for lunch, but I was strong and didn't even nibble a bit as I would normally have done. This chunky monkey is going to be a slender glenda if it kills me
:) I even had a lime and soda at the pub quiz last night instead of the usual diet cola
Determination is my middle name chums:)
I hope you all have had a good day
Cheers mateys
