I should be ashamed of myself
What's the point of signing up on a site that tells you how many calories you're eating...and then having a takeaway pizza?
MFP can't tell me how many cals are in it (7 inch) but I'd say I'm about 500 calories over on my first day!
My feeble excuse? I've been good all week and not lost an ounce, so the obvious solution is to treat myself :rotfl:I'm on my own, and it's Sunday...tomorrows another week, I promise
I've resisted thoughts of beer and chocolate though, so it could have been worse!
And I have a lovely new cold fridge :T (delivered several hours earlier than I was told it would be, but I'd stayed in, so it's all good)
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0 -
Ooops Ellie! ah well as you say another week starts tomorrow!Must use my stash up!0

Fingers crossed comp is working okay atm so typing as fast as I can in case it stops again
TG hope your Mum is okay. Rugs/mats grrrrrrr! Worked with
older people for 30+ years and saw many trips and falls because of corners and rucks in rugs. Having said which I've done it myself, on the runner which protects the carpet just inside the front door. You're doing everything you can by giving her your support, a bit of dust won't matter as long as she's comfortable
B - F&F sk milk
L - lasgne, green salad. 2 scoops ice cream
T - usual 3 crackerbread
S - carrots, melon
E - giving our fellowship hall store a clear out, shifting & rearranging tables/chairs
Enjoy the rest of the evening0 -
Evening All
Well quiet day here, had a tidy, did some ironing and baked a cake fir the kids and dm to have in the week (she has the kids while I'm at work)
B. Bacon and egg sandwich, also a couple of drop scones as ds pestered me to make them.
D. Thai chicken curry, rice, green beans, paratha (bread) and handful of mini popodams
S. cornetto
Hope your Mum mends quickly TG rugs are terribly dangerous, I've tripped over mine countless times (but I need it to hide the bare spots on the carpet!) good idea to clear it away though.
May have a look at mfp see if it will keep me on track too, am going to ww in September as they agreed to hold my trial period till the kids are back at school.:T'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

Hi Knit Witch
Sorry not to have weighed-in last week, but my mother-in-law went and fell and hurt her shoulder and back... She is already very frail so you can imagine what this has done to her.. She was still trying to look after her husband and obviously couldn't manage..
I doped myself up with medicine and got beloved to drive me over to them without letting them know... (so that I would see everything as it is rather than what they want me to believe) and it was a sin... She could hardly move and hadn't eaten for two days (apart from a couple of sandwiches) although she had told me everything was fine on the phone... She had stopped the meals on wheels for herself as my father-in-law was creating a fuss about all the strangers (his carers) coming in and out.. She didn't stop his so he was fine !!! He can't help her as he can barely get out of his chair...
It was just as well, we had gone.... so I made her something to eat and we went over on Sat & Sun so that I could cook some meals for her and some extra that I put in her little freezer... I was able to arrange for the meals & wheels to start again with her from tomorrow (Mon)... I also told dad-in-law that if he stopped anyone else coming in, he would have to go into a home... so, hopefully, that will stop him being difficult for a wee while.. I have also been trying for a while to persuade her to have a home help to clean ... so that's starting this week as well... and she was starting to look a lot better with our tlc...
So that is a result
Anyway, I could have weighed myself tonight but a) I'll be heavier than this morningand b: I've been eating rubbish all weekend since I didn't have time to cook my own food... so I would prefer to leave it until Friday so that I am back in my usual routine as I am sure I will have put on the odd pound or two snacking instead of eating my usual meals....
Well done to everyone who has lost weight or sts.. I'm not sure how often I will have to go to the in-laws this week, but I'll pop in on the forum as and when I can...0 -
Oh wow Officeguru that doesn't sound good, I hope things improve soonMust use my stash up!0

Morning all.
TG and OG - hope you things are sorted for you both now.
My day today:
B - LF blackcurrant yoghurt and a small cereal bar (I wasn't really hungry but thought I'd better have something)
L - avocado and tomato sandwich; mini pack of LF pretzels; fruit of some sort (I've got to go and buy some as I've got nothing left in the fruit bowl)
D - paella, based loosely on the one in the Hairy Dieters book; glass of apple juice with sparkling waterBack after a very long break!0 -
Morning,
My heart goes out to both Theatregirl and pfficeguru, what trying times for you both!
Well I've been awful all weekend, just shoving everything and anything down my throat like a woman possessed! Consequently the scales say I've put on 3lb since Friday!!!!!! Really need to lose that by weigh in!!!! Being good today for definite!!!0 -
Hi Knit Witch,
I decided to bite the bullet and stand on the scales... It's too easy to avoid them when you think it's going to be bad news... but a weigh-in every week is a weigh-in every week... so I stepped on the scales with some intrepidation... but obviously, the sandwich I grabbed here and there and the odd pkt of crisps did not equate to my usual meals so I have lost 2 lbs .
This is really good for me as it brings me down to a half stone of another stone in weight.. if you know what I mean....so if I lose another 7 lbs that's me another stone lighter...
I would just like to say that so far I have lost approx 3 stones in weight since Xmas and I have you lot to thank for that... and if I can lose over the 7 lbs before I go on holiday... that would be really something... no pressure there, then... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Update on my mother-in-law ... The warden phoned to say that she isn't very well and had to phone in the doctor... She has went and overdosed herself with cocodamol... trying to keep the pain at bay... The doctor has arranged for people to go in and give them their medicine at the correct times... I had mentioned it to the social workers/hospital doctors that I was worried in case they overdosed on their medicines but they said it couldn't happen as it was in special blister packs for specific times and days... I commented that if they are too confused to know what day it is they could take too much or too little .... but they just looked at me when I said that... Oh, well, at least that's being seen too...
Thanks for all your concerns...
Enjoy the rest of your day...0
