Not too bad today no bread at all apart from one slice of wholemeal at lunchtime with baked beans on top and NO butter
:):) lots of water and bran flakes from breakfast Dinner tonight was a jacket spud and salad.NO biscuits either or cake so I am feeling a bit angelic at the moment ,sure to have a wee devil whispering in my ear over the weekend I bet.:):)Tomorrow I shall have some porrige for breakfast (theres only so much bran flakes I can eat in a week) I make it how my old mum made it with water and a sprinkle of salt on top and a smidgen of skimmed milk,Its quite filling so it should help with the gnawing hunger pangs
:)Lots of water drunk today and only four cups of tea and one of black coffee which is a miracle for me as I am a total tea urn as a rule
I may dig some salmon out of the freezer for tomorrows lunch with some green veg,I like a poached egg on top of my fish, odd I know but I always like the combination of fish and egg.Dinner tomorrow night will be spanish omelette and sweet potato wedges.I have to use up my existing veg as I am away on holiday a week tomorrow so I'm using up what I have available rather than go out to buy more food.I have quite a lot of stuff in the fridge to use up this week so its going to be an odd sort of menu for the next few days.but my bread bin is now empty ,although if pushed I do have some wholemeal bread in the freezer.I have quite a stash of wraps in there as well so I may dig a couple out and cook some chicken legs for filling with salady bits.I feel very focused for some reason perhaps because I am typing it out as each day goes by .My excersise today was walking my DDs two dogs to the local park not far and it took about 10 minutes each way and I was glad to get home as it was hot and mu joints were playing me up a bit this morning ,probably because there was damp in the air.Tonight I did all my ironing, which I guess could be counted as mild excersise.I have my sis -in-law coming tomorrow and I usually bake for her so I may make a cake for her to have with her coffee and get her to take the remainder home with her.I have a lemon in the fridge to use up so its going to be lemon drizzle cake but I promise as an ex girl guid that I won't have any or I am defeating the object of the excersise.Lettuce got finished up tonight so I will make a small salad of sliced cucumber, tomatos, beetroot, grated carrot, chopped white onion and chopped celery and add some sweet chilli sauce to give it some flavour I think.I need a good recipe for cold pasta salad like you buy in bowls from M&S I think I quite like them but they are getting pricey and I'd rather have a go at making them myself.I have some lovely garlic olive oil my brother brought me over from France last year I wonder if I could use some of that up in a tossed salad or would it be too fattening Any ideas or recipes would be appreciated as most of my cook books haven't got much in the way of low calorie dishes. What sort of things do you make inexpensively at home from scratch.I am not keen on just buying stuff from the SM if I can make it at home from scratch.I like to see what goes into my food .0 -
Well, despite all the carp I've eaten since my last weigh in (pizza and potato skins on 2 nights, mcd double cheeseburger, large fries, large choc milkshake and smoothie on Saturday, pizza with wedges and large slice of birthday cake on Sunday, and sausage in batter and chips from chippy on Tuesday), I am pleased to declare a loss of 2lbs this week!!:j
HOW...how did you manage that??? :T
I want to follow your diet :rotfl:

Total weight loss to date: 12lb0 -
Morning all
Pleased to report a 1lb loss this week
I seem to yo-yo when I go between working/exercising and being sedentary! Problem is I have 2 weeks off coming up so I'll can guarantee I'll put the 1lb back on and stay the same the following week.......grrr. It wont matter how many odd jobs I do or how much I walk.....it'll go back on by Friday...sigh.
Off to work this afternoon and then home for cooked dinner this evening, yum.
b - cheese on toast + 2 slices streaky bacon, fruit pot
l - none, working through, might have a snack though...no idea what.
d - hm pork & stuffing, 2 x potato waffles, veggies
might have pudding later too and a glass of wine
ETA
KW - I am going to be switching from analogue scales to our digital scales. The analogue one we have is funky and doesnt sit right, it jumps about all over the place when you step on them.
The digital ones tend to weigh me as a bit heavier so I may experience some severe weight gains (last week when I weighed on both the analogue had me at 12 st 3 and the digital said 12st 5!!!). However this week they both have me on 12 st 2 so I'm happy to start from there.0 -
Morning all.
I'm pleased to say that yesterday's blip on the scales has corrected itself so I can report 1lb loss this week. :j
Today's menu is / will be:
Brunch - continental breakfast (bread, cheese, ham and salami - not healthy but one of my favourites); two apricots
Snack - (if needed) - sultana and bran muffin
Dinner - lamb and squash curry, 2 chappatis, 2 RM onion bhajis, plus a glass or two of wine as my good intentions went to pot last night and I opened the bottle after all
Exercise for today is TBC - I feel like I should be doing something constructive as it's turned into a nice day after a BIG storm last night, but I'm not quite sure what.
JackieO - if you can find a copy cheaply somewhere, the Hairy Dieters book is very good; it's all about healthier versions of normal food, so it's very OS, and the recipes I've tried from it are great.Back after a very long break!0 -

I have no idea, but I'll take it, lol! Actually I was under my calorie goal most days, even though I've not done much exercise this week, and despite going way over on Sunday (cake:o), I was under overall for the week.
On MFP they are always saying that you have to eat more to lose weight, and that you should always eat back your exercise calories, which all seems a bit strange but maybe they have a point, as it seems to have worked for me this week. Another thing that is definitely helping is all the water I've been drinking, MFP recommends at least 8 glasses of water each day, and although I don't always manage that, I do usually drink at least 6, starting with a pint with my breakfast. And of course you get the extra exercise of walking to the loo every half hour, lol!
Went on the wii fit this morning, and was told I'd lost 4lbs since I last used it 8 days ago, of course 'mr wii' then said he was worried about my health as I'd lost it so quick, lol!Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs
