TG speed dating sounds great fun, they should have a similar event for us olds, but call it snail dating - the speed would only confuse us :rotfl:

ellie and sparrer - :rotfl: thanks for the giggles. You're probably right (on both counts re: biscuits and the dating).
Took apart bunny hutches for cleaning this morning and to let them air out properly. 3 hours later put them all back together again, all sparkly and clean. Dirty little poopbums they are. :rotfl:
Going to get out my pilates for beginners DVD today - found it last night on the DVD shelf - right at the back- so going to give that a go and see if I can manage it.

officeguru...you sound like you have your life/diet sorted as well...it's great that it's fallen into place for you, and that you KNOW you're going to get to your target weight. That conviction will really help you to keep going.
Do you not have breakfast? If you're only eating once a day, what time of day do you usually eat? Just being nosey...I think I'd get over hungry doing that, and then overeat at my meal
Sadly, I think you're right re the job...what I *want* to do and what I physically *can* do are very different things
Hi Ellie,
All my adult life I was never hungry at breakfast time.. or lunch time.. so I don't eat until the evening meal.. If I find I am hungry before that... I eat something.. but I always sit down to eat it... as you can munch through a lot of food on the go... I also always make myself something worthwhile to eat
I don't see the point of eating something I don't particularly care for... as it would have the same or more calories so I might as well eat something I like... For example, I could eat a cheap supermarket ice-cream.... but I love hagen daz vanilla.... so guess what I have if I fancy ice-cream ???? That way, I don't crave for it... It's usually in the winter time that I have something during the day and that would be a bowl of home-made soup... but if I have potatoes in the soup, I don't have bread with it... so that I am not loading myself up with carbs...
Weekends don't count as my betterhalf could never last until teatime....as he munches from the time his eyes open until he goes to sleep and he carries about a stone extra in weight..Whereas if I look at food, I put on stones...
I don't feel hungry at all during the day... so I don't eat for eating's sake... I prepare the evening meal in the morning and then it is usually ready around 6 oclock .. I don't load up my plate but I do have a starter.. Last night it was chopped up tomatoes (I can't have the seeds) with chopped up, leftover, boiled potatoes with a few olives mixed together with a little olive oil, vinegar & salt. The portion size would fit in the palm of my hand.. Then I had stuffed, roast pork with a couple of the potatoes.. Due to my condition, I am seriously limited to the vegetables I can eat..
This morning, I had a visitor, so I made us rolls cut in half, toasted with chopped tomatoes, seasoned with melted cheese on top, followed by a muffin (which she brought) ... as I wouldn't be so rude not to have it... but I don't beat myself up as it was very enjoyable.. Tomorrow, I'll go back to my usual routine..
I think the reason I am more successful than the endless diets I have been on in the past... is because I no longer see food as the answer to all my problems, or purely a social thing... 'What's food got to do with hunger? ... 'Nothing', would have been my answer in the past... so I am just trying to adopt a new way of life.. and it helps knowing my toblerone is on top of the wardrobe !!! :beer:0 -
I had a first today...in fact it could even be a first in my entire lifetime!...I made chocolate cakes with butter icing, and sultana drop biscuits.....and I didn't test them
,,,put every single one in the tins for later.
Okay, I did lick the icing bowl, but that's allowed

Well done Ellie, you've got far stronger will power than me, the best I've got Is I now make a small one to test and half it with my toddler, only about 1/4 of the calories, don't think I could go cold turkey!
Have had bolognaise for tea, a small portion, and a rocky bar. Just stepped on the scales and I'm what I was this morning so I'm hoping a loss will appear over night, one can but hope!!
Just done a loaf of stomach crunches and squats, I will lose this saggy belly and droopy bum if it kills me!0 -

Yes, well, the boasting is maybe a bit premature, because I'll definitely have one or two tomorrowbut hope to do a walk to counteract them!
And don't step on the scales at night, you'll drive yourself crazy...mornings only
Like the typo btw :rotfl:

Im still with you. Time is ticking so need to concentrate concertedly for the next three weeks xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
