The sugar found me! 3 chocolate truffles and a biscuit. Why can't I fight these cravings? I need a slap, I really do...

Breakfast - 1/2 slice leftover toast and jam. An hour later - Bowl of tinned pears with 2 tbsp yogurt and a sprinkling of muelsi.
Lunch - Vegetable soup, 1 slice bread and butter. An apple. An hour later - Tuna and salad with light mayo.
Snacks - 3 truffles and a soft ginger biscuit (total 250cal but it's the sugar that bothers me).
Dinner - Roast chicken with veg, not sure what yet...

Exercise, two 1/2 mile school runs (so 2 miles) and at least half an hour shoveling snow. Maybe a swim later, depending on how I feel about driving on the snow in the dark!

I gave up taking sugar in my tea back in the 70's when Anita Harris did an advert which stated - if you took 2 spoons of sugar in your tea x 6 cups per day, over the week it was equivalent to something like 20 slices of toast or 1lb of chocolates, etc, etc.

However I didn't like the taste of my tea with just the milk in it so gave that up as well. Now I prefer a weaker cup of tea (dont like the strong tannin taste or the effect it has on my teeth) just as it comes out of the pot, nice with a slice of lemon though.

Thanks for that, might go the lemon tea way, will just need to find a nicer tasting tea that I can drink 'neat' ;) + the lemon slice.

knittingcathy .....it's weird but I can drink coffee without sugar np but I rarely feel the need to have any. Maybe once or twice a month.

Have you tried white tea?? It still has some of the taste of 'normal' tea but is gentler and doesn't need milk. I think I heard somewhere that it's tea that's picked younger :)

Well, I thought something was wrong this weekend as was so bone weary and, unfortunately, really needed to eat A LOT! Lots of bread, fudge (lots and lots!), a full pizza (!), bacon & eggs, and a bottle of wine. I completely lost the plot, and was still ravenous. And too tired all weekend to do my normal 8 - 10 miles walking, so no exercise either.

Then I woke at 3am this morning with a sore throat, ear ache, headache and every muscle aching. So that explains the bone weariness....the eating was sheer gluttony :D

Oh, forgot the hot chocolate when it snowed....

Hmmm....not impressed with myself at all, and fully expecting at least a 2lb gain this Friday. Serves me right, though. I always do need to feed a cold, but that was one hell of a feast.... I'll post my weigh in on Friday as normal to give me the kick up the bum I need to make myself stop this. :(

I'm wubbish, I am :( And just a couple of weeks ago I was full of motivation and had "it" buttoned down. Not any more though.

Will draw a line under the whole sad weekend now...and move on....

    xx

Joining in here :) Used to do Slimming World and lost 2.5 stone, but now I am moved out for the first time with my OH I can't afford the weekly meetings or the certain brands that go along with doing it - want the freedom of whoopsied items or things on offer which are healthy but not SW friendly so going old style!

Breakfast - porridge, two chopped walnuts broken up, broken up dried apricot, raisins and honey
Lunch - tuna salad bagel, Nairn's ginger oat cakes, weight watchers yoghurt, asda low calorie crisps
Tea - turkey mince spag bol, spaggetti and one slice of Iceland garlic bread
Supper - rich tea fingers and pink wafer biscuits with cup of tea

This was a normal day for me, not a very 'diety' day so tomorrow I am going to cut out the crappy bits like crisps and biscuits for fruit and veg snacks.

Hmmm haven't seen it anywhere but have read about it. I bought 25 Earl Grey black tea to try with some lemon today so will see how that goes.
Thanks and if you know where to get some , let me know ;)

I thought it would be best to 'tidy up' the truffles last night so they couldn't haunt me all week. Also had a packet of crisps. Drawing a line under that and going to be good today. I had loads of muesli with tinned peaches and yogurt for breakfast, hoping that will keep me going. Need to do a food shop today and plan meals for the rest of the week. Dinner tonight will be roast chicken, probably with stir fried rice and veg, shouldn't be too high calorie. Didn't manage a swim last night, really need to do some exercise but can't seem to find the motivation...
