Hi All,
Loved the conversation between daisiegg and TG....
Savesummore ... Hi, my downfall was always at night... I think I tended to treat it as a reward 'cause I had been good all day.. Also, when growing up, we used to have large meals at night when the family came home.. so I was used to feeling full all night.. Things have changed... I don't know if it's an age thingy... but I don't eat half as much as I used to... but I am just toddling along only eating a meal if I am hungry and missing it out if I am not.. I know this doesn't suit everyone.. but it does me... I found to my cost this week, that I put on weight too quickly if I start grazing and munching... Luckily, if I get back on track, I also lose it quickly...
I also try and make sure that the food I make is delicious and worth eating... I have stopped eating on the move 'cause it is amazing what you can shovel in without realising it... Has anyone ever wondered what had happened to the sandwich, cake or whatever they had made ??? and then realised that they must have eaten it ??? I like the broken biscuits as well... 'cause they didn't count in the great scheme of things...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Anyway, I had a good day... Still haven't finished the VAT returns as the volunteers don't realise that I am not a mind reader and I need the receipts etc in...
I also have to work in the garden every day to keep it in check and I have 2 cats at the moment... One had been abandoned near a busy roundabout so it is seriously scared... Her ears don't just go sideways.... they go totally flat on her head... She's such a lovely wee thing... so I have been playing with a pingpong ball with her for ages trying to get her interested... The other cat, he only comes out at night... so I am woken up almost every hour during the night as he wants clapped... He's such a loving creature at night but you wouldn't want to go near him during the day... Not for a while yet.... I think my beloved is getting jealous... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Nothing special in the food department.... I made a fritatta with some leftover new potatoes, chopped up smoked ham, tomatoes, parsley and eggs from my little family at the bottom of the garden... I served it up with salad for him... I also found a minto down the side of the chair so I enjoyed that as well...
Well, that's about all my ramblings tonight....
Take care, good luck with the weigh-ins..0 -
Well it was worth not having the wine because I am pleased to report -1
:D:D
In fact it is more like -1.5 and it was flicking between -1 and -2 - I soooo thought it was going to settle on -2 but never mind!
As a treat I am going to have yummy porridge for breakfast instead of fruit  very little for lunch, probably some fruit, and some hm chicken curry for dinner (full of veg - from the freezer - and I have a sneaking suspicion it may be all veg as I probably served up all the chickeny bits on the day it was made and froze some of the veg and sauce :rotfl:). Will weigh only a very small portion of rice. This weekend is going to be a bit naughty as we have some lovely things planned which all involve eating/drinking so I will try and be good today.
Good luck everyone else on the weigh in!0 -
Well stsfor me boo hiss!
Have not been terribly good, not bad with the main meals, but its the picking that does me in:eek:
Yesterday was
B. 2 slice wml bread, marmite
L. Frittata, nectarine

I also had a handful of almonds, handful of dates, slice of ham (when making the childrens packed lunch)'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

Sorry, but have got on the scales and have lost the 3.5 that I put on and another 1/2 pound. Technically only a half a pound off my target but thrilled anyway. Checked 3 times to make sure. I havn't skimped and have had my treats but I have used smaller plates and have had exercise (walking)on most days. Thrilled!!!
Thanks to all on here for your support, wonderful to be able to communicate with like minded people who totally get it what it's like to struggle with this.
Good luck everyone and if you've had a bad week, tomorrow is another day. Start again and you'll get there.:DWith Our Thoughts. We make our world - Buddha

Hi All,
I was going to post my weight tomorrow, but I stepped on the wii this morning and I have managed to lose -4 lbs that I had put on last week... So I am back to my starting weight for this challenge...
The sun is up and it's going to be hot! hot! hot!
Today, we are off to the hospital about 60 miles away to see what is the best way forward for my father-in-law... I've got the car today so that I can pick beloved up at his work... so picture me driving along the country roads with the roof down ... I bet when it comes time for me to leave, the clouds will appear and the skies will darken....
Good luck everyone...
Congrats, sugarpuss, we are back on the straight and narrow!!!0 -
Some good losses posted already, congrats everyone :T
I have a 2 lb gain
Eating out last night didn't help...I had fish and chips! but then tried to redeem myself by having fresh fruit salad for dessert (didn't have 3 courses after all)
And really...trying to find something to wear to go out in this hot weather that didn't make me look like an old bag lady should have been enough to stop me eating at all! My friend is thinking of trying a juice diet after watching a TV programme this week, I'll let you know if the weight falls off her
The next 3 days are going to be quite disrupted, and I might not be at home for meals much, so not sure how I will do.
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0 -
Weigh in = STS. (Well, actually it's 200g off but that's less than 1/2 pound so I'm not counting it, particularly as it's likely to come back over the weekend what with two nights in a hotel with complimentary breakfast (free bacon sandwiches! :drool), a meal in an Italian restaurant which, according to my sister, does "the best garlic bread on the planet", and a day at a music festival surrounded by beer and junk food. I'm not even going to pretend to myself that I'm going to lose any weight with all that!
)
Anyway, my last day before suspension of play will be:
B - granola with a handful of raisins and SS milk
L - spicy roast squash salad with a very small amount of grated cheese, rye crispbread
D - last of the salad with pepperoni pizza (and I'm intending it will be salad with pizza and not vice versa, but that may not work in practice!)
Well done to everyone this week - we'll get there, girls! (We are all girls, aren't we? I don't think there's any blokes lurking, but apologies if there are!)Back after a very long break!0
