Have you seen Jubblies in the SM? they are little triangular-ish packs of juice that you put in the freezer yourself, so you don't have to worry about them defrosting - they're usually on the end of a row in MrA's.
Oooh Jubbles I've not had them since I was a kid!, didn't know they still exsisted:T:T
Will have a scout round tomorrow:D'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

Morning all
Oh yes, Jubbly - I'm sure it used to be much bigger than it is now, or is it that my hands were smaller then so it just seemed that way? I remember the jingle, 'Lovely Jubbly, Lovely Jubbly orange juice'. It was a bit messy especially whe you kept sucking at the cut off corner, but it was fun
theatregirl never heard of sweet cinnamon pretzels but they sound delish, I'll have to look out for them
Mrs CD apple and elderflower cordial is beautiful, I don't drink alcohol so DB bought me some for the toasts at a family celebration last year and I loved it. Another thing to look out for
Is it just me or does anybody else press the sabotage button when they have an event coming up? Got a big one this week and really wanted to look my best but cereal and 2 slices of toast this morning was just stupid, especially as I'm probably eating out at lunchtime. Why do I do it?
B - F&F, ss milk, 2 slices toast, rf spread, marmalade
Rest of the day tba
S - fresh fruit
E - done 2x10 mins (to try and salve my conscience) more as the day goes on.
Enjoy the beautiful sunshine, and if I hear one person say it's too hot I'll eat my hat. As long as there are no calories in it :rotfl:0 -

Last night's BBQ was not a success from a weightloss POV - I struggled to get enough heat in the charcoal so everything took ages to cook, giving me enough time to drink an extra glass of wine. Then I ate one of the koftas I cut in half to check if it was cooked, and ate the entire pack of halloumi as well rather than leaving some for tomorrow's dinner as intended.
On the plus side, I skipped pudding (more because I didn't have any foil to wrap the peaches than because I was feeling especially virtuous
) and the scales this morning show I'm actually slightly lighter than I was yesterday, so hopefully I haven't done too much damage.
Today goes:
Brunch - 3 slices HM bread with a smoked mackerel fillet, lemon juice and black pepper
Snack (if needed) - handful of fresh dates (about the only sweet things I really like - gorgeous, fruity toffee )
Dinner - aubergine gratin, one kofta left over from last night, salad, a couple of pieces of garlic flatbread left over from last night; glass of white wine ditto
Enjoy the sunshine, all. Like sparrer I love the heat - I think I must have been a salamander in a previous life as I've never come across 'too hot'! :rotfl:Back after a very long break!0 -
I had a Magnum yesterday but that was at the end of a 3.5 mile walk so I don't feel too bad. That pound is still off so hopefully I will be able to claim it next Friday
I've had my normal 1.5 mile walk this morning that I do every day, sometimes twice, but I think it will be too hot for me this afternoon. Still, anything is better than nothing. I read in a magazine the other day that exercise doesn't help you lose weight, it just tones you up. But while I'm out walking I'm not sitting at home eating so it must help a bit :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
afternoon all
made the mistake that a couple of you did, and promised DM I'd cook her breakfast...which led to the oven being switched on :rotfl: Used up bacon in fridge, couple of slightly squishy tomatoes and took out a couple of frozen sausages. Oh and used up the fresh bread (not so fresh as it was bought on Thursday) too.
Havent been having "proper" breakfasts, just been picking the last few weeks, so that was well deserved.
Not much going on today, just going to chill out and relax as I have a busy couple of days tomorrow and Tuesday, all kinds of stuff to deal with that doesnt actually take long but I just put it off until tomorrow...and then tomorrow I say, oh, I'll do it tomorrow....you get the hint :rotfl:
Got another batch of stirfry to be cooked tomorrow - steak and noodles defrosting and will chuck in a can of sweetcorn since it's lonely in the cupboard!
b - 2 rashers bacon (fat cut/drained off), 1 sausage, 1 large tomato chopped in half. bread and butter.
s - 2 x oreos
l - tuna salad, crisps
s - 4 x choc bics
d - going to make up a batch of quorn mince mixed with some cheese topping, spice sachet and l/o salad and have in fajita wraps. think we have some kind of sauce stuff that came with the fajita kit too but cant remember what it's called...will have that as well if it's not too disgusting!0 -
Add one bowl of honey frozen yoghurt and a couple of sliced mini-bananas to today's intake - my appetite is definitely back!Back after a very long break!0
-
L - was a chicken and avocado salad with sweet chilli sauce. well it was supposed to be but even the others with me, who like spicy food, said it was hot chilli, not sweet. But it was from the under 700cals menu so can't complain. I've tried everything on there now, have to start from the beginning again next time! Apple pie and ice cream for pud
T - might have a small salad if I'm peckish later.
E - just pulled some weeds from between the paving slabs at the front of the house while the cat played with them and scattered them all over the patio. The little darling
Enjoy the rest of the evening0 -
Change of plan for dinner, as it's too warm to stand over a pan of tomato sauce for the planned aubergine gratin. Instead:
D - mixed veg curry (from the freezer) with crumbled LF feta and the garlic bread from my original plan. The LO kofta no longer features as I've already eaten it.Back after a very long break!0
