Sounds like you need a new time consuming hobby daisiegg!
btw, I've had enough of all this talk about how we're having a heatwave :rotfl:. I hung out my washing this morning, and had to go and put a fleece on...my feet are cold all the time...I've still got the winter bedding on fgs! :rotfl:
I guess the sun's out somewhere, but I've not seen it!
I think you're right! Any suggestions?! Problem is I am not remotely crafty!
It is scorching here in the south east. All my flowers are dying0 -

Of course you can join in SpendlessKaren, do you want to join in the current challenge?
Must use my stash up!0 -
Sorry you're feeling down, daisiegg. It's a shame you're not near me (I assume you're not) as we could go down to the seaside - have a virtual ice cream on me, instead (the great advantage of virtual ice cream, of course, is that it has no calories!
)
Thanks for updating the list, Knit Witch - those :)s look good.
My plan for today:
B - cherry muesli with raspberry yoghurt
L - a large portion of chopped salad with LF feta (left over from last night) with two wholemeal pittas
D - lamb kofte with tzaziki, halloumi and veg kebabs, HM garlic bread, BBQ'd peaches with frozen honey yoghurt, a couple of generous glasses of cold white wine. Well, I said it was my day off!Back after a very long break!0 -
(((Hugs))) daisiegg. I'm on my own but enjoy my own company (you could say I'm an unsociable mare) so I do know how fortunate I am. I feel greatly for people who don't like being alone, I was like that once but don't know what happened to make me change.
Although I love to see it and have all the doors/windows open I can't sit in the sun for long. Luckily the house is cool in the Summer so I'm enjoying sitting indoors waiting for the Ladies Final. My money's on Bartoli - not literally though cos if I were to bet money I'd only lose it
Wish I was back in Sussex CCP, we could collect daisiegg and hop over to IoW and get a scoop (or two) of Minghella's which isn't cal free but would definitely be worth walking it off afterwards. Can't think of a nicer place to be today - or any day
Just going to grab a cuppa before the game, have a good afternoon0 -
Well done Sirens and Gresleyrover. :T
And hello Spendlesskaren.I've just found my way back here after many years so a newbie, too.
daisiegg- hope the day is turning out better for you. I've just been told my DH has to go away Monday down south to work and I was a bitabout it. Hate it! Hopefully just for 2 weeks this time but with a jaunt back at the weekend.
I know I comfort eat normally so in preparation have got out two great library books, ordered 4 more and bought the latest 2 gardening mags. I intend to LOUNGE with the fan on full!
If they've got it right about the weather, though, you should have plenty of opportunity to snatch some lovely sunny time together soon.
Food for today-
Toasted teacake (treat from m&d for taking them to garden centres.)
Watermelon
Chocolate milk shake
Roast pork, roasties, peas, carrots & yorkies.
Snacks - 2 Foxes jam & cream biscuits. apple/banana
I must be insane cooking a roast dinner today but promised everyone one and I've defrosted the pork. Why didn't I check the weather forecast first. :wall:AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

According to the Minghella website they now do a reduced calorie range. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not...Back after a very long break!0 -
Well home from work, very hot down her in SE london, have just put the oven on for the Lasagna, so glad I made it yesterday, although have to question my sanity in that EVERY meal I've planned this weekend envolves the oven:eek: what ever possesed me to heat a very hot house even hotter, I do not know?
Sorry you are feeling lonely daisiegg, i always long for peace, but when I get it I feel lonely and just spend it waiting for dk's or dh to get home. (((Hugs))
Ccp that ice cream looks good, I am an ice lolly girl myself but I cannot seem to get them home from the store without them melting atm, :eek:will have to pop some juice in the freezer perhaps.'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

We should totally have an OS weight loss thread low cal ice cream meet up!! :rotfl:
I am in Hertfordshire so I don't think that is a million miles away from Sussex. Though I may be wrong. I often get Sussex and Surrey mixed upthough I know neither are a million miles away!
I ended up having an ok day, went fish shopping! Not eating fish...fish for the pond. Brought some lovely ones but bloomin heck they are expensive. Spent £85 on 11 fish  mind you these were the cheapest ones; there were people there buying Japanese koi, which cost £125 for one fish!
I had vegan pancakes for brunch but haven't eaten since then and am not even very hungry yet, maybe I will be good and have salad for dinner?!?
Hope everyone else is having a nice day whether it is in the sun or out of it0 -

I am insane as well - I planned a roast chicken for tomorrow!! Hadn't really paid attention to the weather and really fancied a roast dinner, it's been ages. If husband was here I might be brave and try the 'beer butt chicken' on the BBQ that everyone is talking about at the moment but being a useless female I can't 'do' the BBQ. And he won't be home until 7pm which will be too late to get it going. So roast chicken it will be!0 -
Oops meant to add also - welcome SpendlessKaren!!!0
