    Morning all :)
Oops, forgot to post after wi yesterday, seeing the list reminded me. Anyway it was an STS so no change there then. Literally!

Look at you Misses Cheerfulness and KW, flying ahead already :T
Welcome back sp, hope you had a good break.
Close call ellie. I live on my own and often wander from bedroom to bathroom etc in the nuddy, but I do wish the window cleaner would just ring the bell when he arrives, had to do a very hurried pulling on of bathrobe recently :o
    Have a lovely weekend gr

Using up day, DGD1 is coming to stay with the muttley while I'm away for a few days next week, need to clear some space so I can shop for her.

B - sliced nana over F&F, ss milk
    L - salad, 1/2 Cornish pasty
D - ratatouille, the other 1/2 of the Cornish pasty
    S - fresh fruit
E - 1x10mins done, will fit in as many as poss unless it's too hot. How nice to be able to say that :D

Have a sunny day, splash on the factor 30 :)

Morning all :) I was naughty yesterday with a huge portion of pasta for dinner AND ice cream (dairy free). I sort of compensated for it by only having an apple for lunch but still.

Not sure what I will eat today. I have woken up feeling incredibly miserable. It is a gorgeous weekend and I am all alone. My husband is away and my family are on holiday. My best friend moved abroad a couple of months ago and I don't really have any other friends close enough to just meet up with at short notice. I just feel very sad and lonely, that this gorgeous weekend is going to be wasted and spent doing washing and sitting in front of the TV! Ok, this is totally irrelevant to this thread which after all is weight loss, not 'true confessions'!!! Bringing it back to relevance - I am worried I will comfort eat due to aforementioned misery. There, I made it on topic! :rotfl:

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend. Well done on all the losses/STS yesterday! :D

sparrer I remember once I was in my living room ironing naked - I think I was in a hurry getting ready - and there appeared a window cleaner! It was mortifying as there was NO WHERE to hide. So we have all been there! :rotfl:

theatregirl your pasta lunch looks very nice. Jealous! :)

ellie glad you enjoyed your rare evening alone. Have a lovely weekend! :)

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:@ the naked ironing!

Daisiegg, I think your post and mine last night show how we can turn any situation to an excuse to eat more...you comfort eating and me wanting to treat myself. We are in the same situation this weekend being alone, but see it differently (I don't have a lovely new hubby to miss :)). Can you look at the weekend as "me time", and pamper yourself and do things you like to do but maybe don't always get time to? Is there somewhere you'd like to visit? shopping? sitting in the garden?

Yours and sparrers window cleaner experiences show there is another very good reason for us all to get slim...if we are going to be spotted by window cleaners and friends sons in the all-together, we need to look good! :rotfl:

    Haha good point!

Re the being alone, I think the difference is I spend a LOT of time alone. My husband is away every other weekend, and often works away during the week too (he will be in Russia this coming week!). I also only work part time whereas he works very long hours so even on a regular week day I have lots of hours to myself. So I get ample, ample time to do all the 'for myself' things, more than enough time. I am usually very comfortable with my own company and really good at entertaining myself but I think it is just because this weekend looks set to be so lovely and I wish I had someone to share it with and go and do something fun. Never mind - it is silly really as I have a lovely life and so much to be happy about, so it is ridiculous to be miserable over a couple of days of being lonely. Some people spend their whole lives lonely.

Sounds like you need a new time consuming hobby daisiegg! :)

btw, I've had enough of all this talk about how we're having a heatwave :rotfl:. I hung out my washing this morning, and had to go and put a fleece on...my feet are cold all the time...I've still got the winter bedding on fgs! :rotfl:
I guess the sun's out somewhere, but I've not seen it!

  • Hi.Can I join in please? Trying to lose weight by healthy eating, smaller portions etc and keeping an eye on calories in versus calories out. Seems calories in always win though :)
