Hi :) I've kept off the pound I lost earlier in the week. This morning actually showed another pound off too but I know from experience that I always lose and gain a pound several times before it stays off so I'm just claiming 1lb off this week.

:T That's very restrained Pollybear...I go up and down a bit too before it stays off, but if the scales said another pound off on a Friday, that's what I'd be declaring :D

Have just waved bye to last remaining son (off camping for weekend)...I feel like I've just been let out of school, and I should be doing nice things and having treats...I have the house to myself all weekend :j
And today I have planned my evening meal...unfortunately planned as a treat, not low calorie :o

Quick update: lunch turned out to be a couscous and bean salad as M&$ have discontinued my favourite one :(, followed by a rhubarb and custard dessert from their diet range which is strongly recommended - it was .

Mid-afternoon snack, as my appetite has definitely returned ;), was an apple.

Tonight is 'being sensible' - rather than a disappointingly warm glass of wine I'll have a nice, cold, low-cal elderflower cordial and sparkling water. :A

Tomorrow is 'being un-sensible' - wine (nicely chilled by then) to go with a meat- and cheese-heavy BBQ, as Saturday is traditionally by day off weightloss attempts. :D

SIRENS - hopefully you'll be able to pass on some tips from the club - it's definitely OS if we all feel the benefit! ;)

ellie - enjoy your treat evening - you deserve it in an empty house by yourself. ;)
Back after a very long break!

Pollybear - well done on that loss. :TI'd have counted the other lb too. :D

Sirens - over the years there's been lots of people that have used slimming clubs while still doing it the OS way on this thread. There was a lovely lady called Taplady who got to target with SWorld through OS cooking.
I myself am using things I've learnt with SW online, so mine is a combo of OS with a SW twist. I think they blend beautifully.
I'm not so into the diet foods but love the healthier ways I learnt to cook (with the occasional 'treat' thrown in - hence pork pie salad today. :o)

Theatregirl - can I ask, what do you do at the theatre? I'm intrigued.
I love the whole atmosphere of sitting in a theatre. I spent half the time looking up at the ceiling last time I went. It was so beautiful, like going back in time.

Nothing glamorous. I work as front of house staff - in plain English, that's usher or bar usually.

I fell into it by accident to be honest. I wanted to be a journalist and write for a living way back in school, but I didnt get the grades at A Level, so I took three gap years :rotfl: and wound up in amateur dramatics where I met another girl who was taking the BTec course I ended up applying for at another local college. From there I went to Uni.
Although I am a fully trained in (and have a degree in) stage management now, I chose not to do anything with it after my tutor belittled me to a prospective employer or two (and I mean she called me all the names under the sun and slandered my good name )
I could have had a hugely successful career right now and be earning buckets....but I guess it just wasnt to be!

However the technical training also set me up to know how wardrobe/set design/lighting/sound works, so I have a pretty good all round knowledge now which is kind of useful.
I'm trying to move up the ranks in my current job (or get another on the same level) because of my background, but not having a ton of luck with it. You would think in London it would be easy but ohhhh no.

Anyway enough of my rambling. :rotfl:

I am doing CCP! Next up is a lovely bubbly bath, and the house is definitely empty and the doors will be locked :)
(A few months ago I heard DS going out to work early in the morning, so I got up and had a shower, and then wandered back to my bedroom with nothing on...30 seconds later I hear someone on the landing, what a fright I got...turns out DSs best friend had stayed the night...he was 30 seconds away from having his eyeballs seared with an image he might never forget :rotfl:)

Now to own up to todays menu

    B: granola, ss milk
    L: 2 slices toast and marmalade...was in a rush
D: sweet and sour chicken and oven chips, mmm it was lovely
also a cornetto, it was the last one, it looked lonely in the freezer
Will need to be careful this doesn't turn into a 3 day weekend :)

I just thought, that although I was a bit naughty today and had to pop back and edit my mealplan (bad, bad TG), I would share with you my pasta lunch :D

It was so nice I am going to have the same for lunch tomorrow, hopefully without the naughty food later on!
