TG, when I first started walking a few years ago, I went out at night so it was dark and no-one would see me :rotfl:
And last summer before I hurt my back, when I was doing approx. 9 - 10 walks a week, I started a little bit of jogging...when I wanted to jog I would turn round and check there was nobody about, wasn't going to do it in front of anyone :rotfl:
But that will never happen again, because my osteopath said NO NO NO JOGGING!
Can you buy those little containers, or do you have to eat lots of Chinese takeaways?
Todays eating
B: granola, ss milk
L: ham salad sandwichplanning salad and microwave chips
E: an hours slow walk to look round the second hand furniture shop.
Also went to Mr Ts for bread...they had THAT chocolate at less than half price! A bargain...I had a battle with myself in the shop...it's a bargain, I could store it away for later...you think?...I could put it in the freezer...you'd take it straight back out again...
I don't want to let myself down, it's only the first week of the challenge!
So I didn't buy any, and I'm hoping it's sold out before I shop at the weekend.
Eyes are crazy itchy with the pollen, the downside of walking in the summer

:rotfl: @ the thought of you doing that. Bless.
And yes, you can buy them - I got some recently in Poundland, you get 4-5 tubs in a pack. They dont look like very large servings until you fill them and then re-decant into a bowl.0 -
L - dunno - for once I haven't brought anything to work with me (I couldn't face another portion of burnt chilli - I've got a horrible feeling it will end up in the bin
) so I'll have to buy something. It will probably be one of the sandwich / fruit / drink meal deals from a supermarket - not terribly exciting, really.
I ended up with a small pack of sushi (and I must make certain to pick up fish rather than meat sushi in future - coronation chicken sushi is, not surprisingly, quite revolting _pale_), a pack of LF crisps, and some mixed berries. Tonight's dinner will include only a very small portion of noodles - with the odd exception, like this morning, I haven't had much appetite for the past few days, which can only be a good thing from a weight loss POV.Back after a very long break!0 -
Okay...so I've been eating well for 3 days now...lots of veg and no biscuits, crisps, choc...when do I see the benefits? :rotfl:
I feel like I should feel different somehow, sort of healthy from the inside out :rotfl:
I'm watching Secret Eaters on tv...I can understand people overeating and would never judge them for that, but I can't understand how they don't know they are? How can you say you don't think you eat enough, when you're quite obviously putting on weight, and having takeaways etc.?

Popping in quickly, brilliant night out, just what I needed after a horrid horrid day! Got to box office at the theatre and my tickets had been put under the wrong name somehow :rotfl: but found them and we had Stalls D1 and 2, we thought we were four rows back, turned out the orch. pit was in Row A & B (taken out seating) so we were two rows back from the front, proper result and VERY happy
Used coupons in Booger Ming (£8 for two meals) and then used my staff card for 10% off drinks in the theatre. Oh, and nipped into the Sp@r across the street for munchies
Just need to add on a bag of crisps, a treat size bag of maltesers, and a twirl bar to my intake today.
Goodnight all0 -

I had a sneak peek on the scales this morning and I've lost 2 and a bit pounds already this week - long may this lack of appetite last! (Not really - I love food and cooking and find these periodic losses of interest mildly depressing.
)
Anyway, today goes:
B - LF passionfruit yoghurt
L - four rye crispbreads, small portion of crab pate, red pepper sticks (and possibly cucumber sticks as well if I can be bothered to go and buy one); apple
D - pasta with veg (sugar snap peas, broad beans, cherry tomatoes and possibly the crunchy bits of some past-its-best lettuce), pesto and pine nutsBack after a very long break!0 -
Deleted_User wrote: »cheerfulness Regarding the book, I never looked at the price on that link I posted
I think THIS ONE should be a bit more MSE friendly :rotfl:
:rotfl::rotfl:Yep much more affordable. Don't need a mortgage for that one.
Weigh in day for me today and I've lost 4lbs. :j:j:D
So that's a good start to the new challenge. I shall be smiling all day.
I shall endeavour to be good from now on... said that before but we shall see.
Planned food today -
Iced coffee
banana & yogurt with honey & walnuts
Sml HM tortilla wrap with spicy chicken & salad
Apple
Slice HM quiche Lorraine with salad
watermelon
Snacks - HM chocolate bun (courtesy of DS2) and mini milk ice lolly if I fancy one.
CCP - that pasta you're doing sounds nice. I've just started picking the broad beans in the garden and I've some lettuces that will run to seed if I don't use them quickly.
Is it all raw or do you saute some of the ingredients?AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

I hadn't thought that far ahead, tbh!The broad beans will have to be cooked - or at least blanched - so I can get the outer casings off, and I might soften the tomatoes a bit as I prefer them that way, but everything else will be raw, I think.
