I'm very impressed with those of you who have the days menu planned in the morning...on days when I'm eating alone, like today, I often have no idea what I'll have until I'm standing in the kitchen at dinner time...and then I want something quick and easy...and cheesy!
I tend to know what I am going to eat every day too (I plan evening meals weekly anyway and usually have the same sorts of things for breakfast and lunch) but I like to post a food diary rather than a meal plan. Each to their own but to me it feels more useful because I am posting what I have actually eaten, not just what I hope to eat in an ideal world! :rotfl:0 -

I find that posting in the morning helps me to behave- if I then change my mind and eat something unhealthy I know I have to come back on here and post the change, so I'm more likely to stick to the healthy option. That's the idea, anyway!
I felt mildly but distinctly peckish at breakfast time this morning, so hopefully my appetite has finally returned from its holiday and is back where it should be!
B - three rye crispbreads, each topped with a couple of slices of smoked trout with lots of lemon juice and black pepper. Not madly unhealthy, and very .
L - edamame bean salad (a RM one - a rare treat food that's actually good for you ) with a wholemeal pitta bread; apple; maybe something sweet and naughty, because it's Friday
D - falafel, chopped salad with a small quantity of RF feta, HM tzatziki, maybe another pitta bread if I'm hungry. I might have a glass of wine, too, although I might not as I forgot to put it in the fridge this morning and it will probably be too warm to be nice. :undecided
Have a good day, all.Back after a very long break!0 -

I can only assume it must be down to not drinking as much fizzy stuff and going onto more juice drinks as described ^^. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?
Whatever it is, it's got to be a good thing theatregirl! Maybe you're just losing weight and getting healthier...maybe your body is better without coke? So you're feeling the benefits of being healthy on the inside? I hope the feeling stays anywayI tend to know what I am going to eat every day too (I plan evening meals weekly anyway and usually have the same sorts of things for breakfast and lunch) but I like to post a food diary rather than a meal plan. If I posted in the morning I'd be back constantly changing things...how hungry I am (or not) dictates what I end up eating. But I know I'd eat more healthily some nights if I'd planned in advance, I'm definitely worse when I'm eating alone...as though it doesn't matter so much when it's just me, which is silly. I do admire sparrer's healthy menus
(and once I've posted at night, that's it! nothing else can be consumed :rotfl:)
Weighed in this morning, and I have lost 2 lbs.
Very happy with that, although I'm aware some of it is just losing what I put on last weekend with the chocolate blowout
Next week will be the real test!
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0 -
Is it weigh day today? I've been meaning to ask when it is for this challenge.
I've lost 2.5lbs this week, which I'm pretty pleased with, although I know the loss of appetite has helped greatly.
Oh, and I don't think I've said thank you Knit Witch for keeping the records - much appreciated! :TBack after a very long break!0 -
Well done Ellie! :T
I am so jealous of all this theatre talk. I loved going years ago when I too could get complimentary tickets with my job but these days I find the seats a tad too snug for comfort.
Menu today:
Iced coffee
Dry fried egg, bacon and lots of herby tomatoes
Apple, watermelon
HM chicken fajitas with rocket salad (from garden:D)
Sml slice pork pie with salad
Snacks - slice HM Victoria sandwich
I've dug out my MrsMc Soft Chewy Flour Tortilla recipe so I'm good to go with preparing lunch.
Was hoping for these yesterday but it was too hot to be bothered eating so I had toast and jam.
OOh just spotted your lose CCP. Well done to you, too. :T:DMAY GROCERY CHALLENGE £0/ £250

STS for me this week. I'm hoping the "results show a week after" theory kicks in as I have tried hard this week!
Well, just have to try harder next week!:T
I don't post my meals on here as I use MFP and can't get on with listing everything twice! I do usually have a meal plan though just so I am oganised enough to have what I need!
I've failed dismally on lunches recently though. My oldest son has finished school so my lunch-making routine has changed and I haven't caught up yet!
I'm going to a quiz night this evening and I'm trying to think up some healthy snack as for some reason the brain works best when the face is being stuffed!!;)0 -
Grrr.....I have STS this week, after all that. Perhaps I am going bonkers!
Not all is lost though as I measured myself too and I have lost 1 inch off my hips/thigh area.
I've been wondering for a while though if our normal scales are playing up. We're waiting for a new battery to be delivered for the digital ones we have....and it's taking forever!
Will be much less going out this week so should be able to avoid calorie rich stuff.
ellie - I can only hope you're right and that I am getting healthy on the inside with regard to the O@sis
mealplan:
b - banana, cereal bar, 2 x choc bics
l - will pick up a fresh pasta pot thing from the deli in Morries near where I work

t - hm portion of stirfry, glass of wine
s - handful of salted peanuts0 -
Morning all, congrats to the losers and stayers :T
Theatregirl you're right, it's not always lbs but inches, though with me they never happen together!
B - F&F, ss milk
L - panini/salad
D - grilled sausage, back bacon, mushrooms, tomato & toast with a dry-fried egg
S - fresh fruit
E - up and down the ladder taking old curtain poles down (was going to let 'the man' do it but can't sit and look at something that needs to be done), washed down frames - will no doubt have to do it all again when he's finished - washed nets, mended a cardigan and hemmed a new top. Stopped now
Have a sunny day0 -

Hi
I've kept off the pound I lost earlier in the week. This morning actually showed another pound off too but I know from experience that I always lose and gain a pound several times before it stays off so I'm just claiming 1lb off this week.
