Hi All,
I hit the wee 'multi-quote' button that many times, that I lost count and then it only copied 2 of them...
Hello to everyone who was 'wee & fat'
Chocolate v Cheese: Well, I hate to tell all you cheese lovers, that I am also one of them ... I think we would have a problem sharing the old cheese board... I know I have white chocolate toblerone on top of the wardrobe, but I think that proves I am not a chocoholic, else the toblerone would have been long gone... No way, would cheese have been left a day let alone since Christmas
Hello to everyone who has just joined us or re-joined us...
KNIT WITCH..... I feel that I have cheated myself on my goal for this challenge... I could munch away at crisps, fried egg sandwiches, bacon, desserts etc and lose that weight.... so I want you to double my goal... so that I put some effort into it... I might not reach it but at least it's a challenge.... :A I apologise in advance for cheating this way....
I love reading everyone's posts as they make me smile... :T
I would just like to add another little bit before I go off to get the room ready for another cat.....
I saw a nice tee-shirt in debenhams online sale and I thought I would love to buy it but it was a size 20 and I am a size 22... I thought, I'll hang it up and keep trying it on until it fitted me... so I tried it on ... Guess what ??? It fitted me... It wasn't tight or anything... Now, I don't know if Debenhams clothes are generous or not but do you think I am now a 20 and not a 22..??? I am not getting out the tape measure as that is a no-no.. as I could go tumbling down into the depths of despair so I just want your thoughts... If Debenhams clothes are generous, someone could let me know and I'll see myself as still a 22... If not, the next size for me is an 18....:T:T0 -
Oh, good, lots of people who don't like chocolate - it's nice not to be the sole weird person for once.
financially_gaga - it's not as good as it sounds, really - you'd be amazed how many things have chocolate in them these days, and it can be quite depressing to be left nibbling an apple while everyone else tucks into cakes and biscuits. I'm lucky that most of my colleagues now know of my antipathy towards chocolate and try to make sure there's at least one cocoa-free option for me on special occasions. :A
I've decided on a change of plan for dinner tonight, as I'm not really hungry enough to appreciate the chicken curry - I'll be having... cheese on toast. And an apple.
Oh, and I've reported the :spam: at post #8251.Back after a very long break!0 -

I know it might be a stupid question, but how do you know it is spam ?? Just so that I know in future.. I thought spam was when someone was trying to sell something...0 -
Hello
I managed to stop eating chocolate originally when I had a bad cough and it did make it worse. For a few months I was able to tell myself that was the reason I wasn't eating chocolate. Now I still don't eat it but I really really want to. Never mind, we can't always have what we want. I just thought after two years I would have lost the craving.
Today I have longed for something nice. I was out with DD2 most of the day but I didn't have lunch out, came home and cooked for the three of us and went out again and I had coffee out but no cake.
Still feel a bit cheated though
Does anyone else think about treats all day and end up almost feeling as bad as if they've actually eaten them? Or do I just have an over developed guilty conscience?0 -

It is trying to sell something - if you look at the 'personal web page' (by clicking on the user name) it's a 'make $$$ in your spare time' scam site. The pattern of posting is familiar, too - the MSE site has got very good at catching obvious spam, so people come along and make various brief posts on unrelated subjects to try and get themselves a non-newbie status - again, you can see previous posts by clicking on the user name.
I probably spend too much time on internet fora - I can spot a spam email far too easily!Back after a very long break!0 -

Oh no Pollybear, you mean the craving doesn't go even after 2 years???
And don't feel bad...you didn't eat the treats, so feel really smug with yourself :T
I also really like cheese, could eat it every day. But you proper cheese connoisseurs would be disgusted with me...it has to be ordinary mild cheddar, every time, never buy anything else.
Todays food
B: red berry granola, ss milk
L: cheese and tomato toastyWW lasagne, big pile of broccoli and carrots, 90 cal choc mousse
E: walked to post box, a whole 8 minutes
walk with friend cancelled cos it's pouring with rain. Spent afternoon clearing out some drawers instead. I'm on a bit of a mission to "lighten the load" in my house as well.
I now have 2 pairs of size 16 trousers hanging on my wardrobe. A lightweight crop summer pair which fasten up, but would look better with a few pounds off, and a pair of jeans which won't look on me, no way were they getting past my saddlebags...I used to wear them all the time in 2010/2011. I was shocked by just how much they didn't fit (IYKWIM)...it wasn't that they wouldn't fasten up, they wouldn't even go up over my behind! I need to lose about a stone and a half to wear them again (and when I do I'll feel like *me* again)
officeguru, I'm no use at all to you re sizing...2 pairs of trousers, same size, yet nearly 2 stone of difference to wear them...it's crazy, no wonder we need to try everything on before buying!
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0 -
Well I'm doomed I love chocolate and cheese (but not together!)
B. 2 sloce seedy toast, 2 l/f cheese triangles
L. Prawn noodle salad, apple
D. Pasta with anchovies, tom, artichoke
S. scotch egg, slice of seedy bread whole packet of foam bananas and prawn sweets....'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

Not always, savesummore! The size 16 jeans hanging on my wardrobe that are far too small are from next...and the jeans I have on right now are a size 16 from next...I find them very variable.
A couple of years ago I ordered 4 pairs in their sale, all the same size and style-
1 pair far too big
1 pair fitted okay
1 too small
and 1 which I thought fitted fine so I kept them, but they stretched at least a whole size on first wearing until I couldn't keep them up ( which was a bit embarrassing as I was away for the day with no change of clothes )
Really, I think it's quite disgraceful that clothes from the same retailer can vary so much, and that they don't seem to notice and do something about it. It's the same with their tops...I really wanted a particular one in the sale, and while wearing the 16 jeans I tried on both a size 16 and 18 top, and neither would go over my middle?
Oh, sorry for the rant, it's a real bugbear of mine!!!

Thanks for the info.... I would never have thought.... I live a too sheltered life... I think I have only clicked on a name a couple of times to send a private message....
Does that mean there could be one of us lurking, trying to make money??? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

When I hang up the trousers/jeans, I am lucky if they go passed my ankles...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Thanks for the advice about the sizing... I see what people mean when you have to try clothes on.... I'll still see myself as a size 22 to be on the safe side...Well I'm doomed I love chocolate and cheese (but not together!)
I thought I would have a look for you..... It says they have sold 100,000 of them...

Here's another one:

Here's what they say on their web page:
'Alone, they count among our favorite indulgences. But together, they transform into something simply sensational.'
Maybe I shouldn't have looked as someone is going to have to try it .... Purely for research, of course...
It will have to be someone who likes both :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0
