Oh dear, I haven't been very good today

    B: cornflakes, ss milk, sultanas
L: 2 poached eggs on toast
S: choc digestive - eaten absent-mindedly while dealing with something else
D: tomato soup, slice of bread, rice pudding
S: mini mars ice cream bar

E: finished painting my living room

I occasionally get a grumpy day when I don't want to cook dinner...when I think HOW MANY MORE years have I got to feed you every day? :rotfl:I don't really mean it, I just don't like cooking...so tonight it was all out of tins, easy! :)

If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?

    Hi Ellie,

Don't think about the number of years... Think about you nurturing your family... looking after them and tending lovingly to their every needs....

    How does that sound ????

I know that life can be depressing at tlmes... but stay focused... I am hoping that I live long enough to manage to reverse the car like a man... I reckon I have another 15 years and then after that I will be in my dotage or there will be too many cars on the road...

The other thing I would love to be able to do is to turn the steering wheel with just the palm of my hand... It just looks so natural... so easy ... but I tend to hold the steering wheel like a vice :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Oh, the trials of life... It's the repetitiveness of it all...
but then, tomorrow, you might glimpse something that makes your heart lift and everything is worthwhile... :)

    Here endeth the lesson,

    Sleep well,

I used to be like that with washing - now my husband does it - for now anyway. He could never get how it so depressed me until he took it over. Well I reckon I did it for the first 16 years of my kid's life now he can show some responsibility. As for the kids doing it? Ha ha ha ha ..............

Not so great on the eating front but I am eating iron rich foods in a bid to raise my iron levels up a point. Lots of peas and corned beef and beetroot:eek:

Sparrer - hope your dear mum continues to improve xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Sleep well,

I do nurture them, OG, I do, I promise :rotfl:I must have over the years - they're 6 feet tall and fit...AND they can reverse on a sixpence (and who took them out when they were learning? Me!) But you're right...it's a man thing, they're much more natural at the wheel then I am...my son sometimes parks my car in the driveway for me, and when I go for it, there's not enough room to get it out...and I'm thinking he got it in ,it must come out :rotfl:

I just moan because, like Molly with her washing, cookings the chore I hate the most. They want to eat every day :rotfl:
Every new year, I say I'm going to learn to cook better, and try new recipes, and every year it dies an early death!

I'll do better tonight, I promise!

ETA - when it is my turn to have someone tend lovingly to my every need? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Morning all. My bugbear is reps and lorry drivers on the M25/M4, took 3 1/2 hours to get to Reading yesterday, 2 3/4 hours to get home. Okay it's a weekday and Sundays are much clearer which is why I usually visit DM on a Sunday when same journey takes about 1 1/2 hours. I took an over-60's driving course run by the local council two years ago and passed with flying colours (well, a couple of itsy bitsy things wrong but they were just being picky ;))so it must be everyone else on the road who's a prat! :p Anyway, day off from visiting today but back down there tomorrow and Friday, which is DM's b/day.
I also hate cleaning the stairs, there's only me and two furpets so how do they get so bitty and grubby?
Dust is evil. I do it and next day it looks like it hasn't been touched for years, especially the black glass telly stand. Who designs these things to look so mucky, and why doesn't glass behave like wood and not show the dust for a few days?

As I've now given myself a guilty conscience the exercise of the day will be brushing the stairs and dusting!

Yesterdays meals were on the hoof,
L - duck hoisin wrap, box of fresh fruit mix, crisps
T - slice of bread with rf spread and cheese n pickle, raisin snack bar

    Today -
    F&F, ss milk
    L - egg salad
D - Cumberland sausage with hm wedges
    S - fruit
