Haha, mothers always know best I agree
Did slip a bit while out today - went into this lovely old bakery down near where we were and they had the most amazing pastrys on their hot section...so having not had a huge breakfast I chose this one with a sausage in it. Turned out to be a breakfast wrap with hidden bacon and hidden egg and hidden tomato in it! Absolutely mouth wateringly gorgeous.
Couldnt eat all my salmon pasta when I got home, so think I will skip my later pasta meal (save it for tomorrow) and just snack on crackers and cheese spread instead if hungry0 -

Weelllll...my mother thinks I'm losing too much weight and starting to look scrawny when I get to a size 14/16...last time she kept warning me not to lose too much, and sticking cakes and biscuits under my nose every time I went to visit...close enough to smell the yumminess :rotfl:

Todays menu -
B: cornflakes, ss milk, sultanas
L: ham salad sandwichesmushroom omelette, peas, microwave chips
exercise - none
you may notice a recurring theme in my menus...I like chips
I try to keep it reasonable by just having a few oven ones, or a box of microwave chips is only 166 calories. I know they won't be that good for me, but it keeps me happy :rotfl:

A bit late, but my first week went quite well, and on my first weigh-in last Friday I'd lost 3lbs!
This week has been a bit up and down, but I have mostly avoided the 'naughties', until today that is! OH had a hospital appointment in London, and we went into gregs and had a cheese and onion slice, a bag of crisps and a latte for lunch, then tonight we had double cheeseburger, large fries and a large chocolate milkshake from mcd's:o! We did do a lot of walking today, but nowhere near enough to work that lot off, lol, back on the wagon tomorrow!Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

After a rollercoaster week, I have STS.
(What that actually means is that I put on a couple of pounds when I gave up last weekend, then lost it again this week - if only every pound I lost was consecutive, instead of up down, up down, I'd be slim already!)
But I have my motivation back, will show a loss next week, promise!

I know what you lal mean about mums - mine was here last weekend and in the space of 24 hours, o was told i looked jaundiced, potentially have an eating disorder and must be unhappy as i'm losing weight :rotfl:
Well like Ellie i've had an up and down week...put on a pound or 2 last week and have lost it again through the week but another STS please Dragon.
However, holiday booked now so must exercise - we fly on July 11th and it will be super-tough food wise so must lose more to compensate :rotfl:!
The weeks that i do 3 days of 'proper' exercise i can feel the difference. This week i have done zero exercise over my usual walk to work and back...and i'll be honest, have been in the biscuit tin more than once!
Hope everyone has a fab weekend :A0 -

:rotfl:Are you *really* unhappy that you're losing weight? Mums have opinions all their own, don't they? :rotfl:
I had another family member start a whispered campaign of concern that I must be ill because I'd lost weight...I'd lost it slowly and was still a size 14/16 fgs!
And I can still remember my father-in-law saying to me years ago "my, Ellie, you're putting on the beef!" Again...a size 14! My husband tried to excuse him by saying that in the old mans eyes it was a compliment...that hubby was doing well if he could afford to feed me enough to put on weight (having lived through hard times in the past). Yeah right :rotfl:

Surprisingly after all that lovely Scottish food, I've a loss of 1lb this week. Seems when I try I don't, when I don't try I do - very odd!
My theory about people who criticise when you lose weight is that they're just jealous and usually overweight themselvesso I take no notice. I have a dear friend who was in a very unhappy relationship and comfort ate til she was size 22. Since the partner left at Christmas she's now a 16 and looks fantastic. She says she feels amazing, and her new social life proves this
B - F&F, ss milk
L - hm chicken soup, slice hm bread with no spread.
D - grilled trout, salad. Mixing 1 teasp rf mayo with 2 teasp ff plain yogurt makes the mayo go further and doesn't affect the taste
S - fruit
E - lots of outstanding little diy jobs done. Not exactly exercise but I worked up a bit of a sweat (and a few choice mutterings) when the screws wouldn't go in the wood when fitting a new letterbox flap!
Have a sunny day whatever the weather0
