theatregirl I've read back but can't see if you've put anything about your last interview. Any news?

I did write something a few days ago now (Tuesday was it? not sure) about having not heard back from them after a week.
I sent a polite email on Thursday asking about the outcome and havent heard back from them re: that either. Although that I sent to HR as they were the ones who called me to arrange the interview for the other department.

If I havent heard by Friday I WILL be calling them as I'm out of the country Monday week and I want to have it settled before I leave.

I am not getting my hopes up though, seems appalling that they havent even bothered with my email.

Sometimes Monday Mornings really live up to their reputation!!

I (just about) stayed the same last week but seem to have put on 2 1/2lb over the weekend! Really not sure how as I have been pretty careful.

Add to that feeling massively unappreciated at home - how come Mr Sezza gets to spend all day Sunday persuing his hobby and I spend the day cooking, ironing, sorting out the garden, sorting out clothes and then clearing up? If I go into the kitchen on a Sunday late morning, there's a pretty good chance I'm going to be cooking dinner, I shouldn't need to ask for help. He did make me a sandwich for tea - that's probably where the 2 1/2lb comes from to be honest, so much cheese  but the kitchen looked like a bombsite and when I finished what I was watching at 10.20pm and started to clear up he followed me out, whining about how he was just going to do it!! Really? So you've sat at the PC for two hours and now you decide to clear up? I don't think so, am sure it was only guilt. If I hadn't done it, I would have come down to it this morning - how pleasant!

Now I've come into work to find contractors on site doing noisy, dirty work. So, the weeks notice I should have had to warn the residents of the properties didn't quite happen then? What joy to look forward to a week of being moaned at for not telling people what was happening! :(

Hey ho, things can only get better......................can't they! :o

PS Sorry for the rant - sometimes it's really good to be able to "talk" to people who aren't involved but are still kind and friendly

    Morning all

Sezza, I really feel for you. My late Dad was EXACTLY the same to my Mum over the kitchen, except he would sit for hours with his mobile phone or in front of the TV. And then when she went to wash up he'd be like "I was going to do that love..." Trust me, I know how frustrated you must be. <3

    --

Rest of pizza from takeout Saturday night was lovely for dinner last night. Put it in the microwave to warm it up and went to townnnnn on it!!! Empty boxes went in recycling this morning! :rotfl:

Breakfast was turkey rashers with mushrooms and a large tomato.
Snack was a special K bar
Lunch will be cheese and crackers.
Dinner will be h/m cheesy bacon pasta bake.

Off to the T's Superstore to get a few bits (not much, going there for a larger shop on Friday) and Mum needs a new aerial for her TV from there too. This branch also does currency exchange so going to get my US $ changed too! :D

    Dear Deleted_User,

Thank you so much for taking the time and the trouble to research into white chocolate bounties... Unfortunately, should I decide to follow the recipe on the link you gave me, I would end up making them and eating the lot !!! No willpower where white chocolate is concerned... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi, Sezza,

I am sorry to disappoint, but they don't get any better... I asked my beloved to swizz up a tin of tomatoes.. He followed my instructions and when I got back into the kitchen, the empty tin was there, the hand swizzer was lying on wortktop, dripping tomato juice.. There was actually tomato juice on the side of the kettle and down the front of the cupboard... I asked him why he didn't clean up the mess... and he replied, 'What mess ????' ....

I bumped into an 85 + year old woman in the supermarket queue, and we were discussing wives etc... and she said, she still does everything... and he still THINKS he does everything.... :A

So, don't hold out too much hope for the future...

Well, no work today so got on the wii first thing and I've lost 1lb:T but I'm not going to record it officially Dragon. I'll wait until the weekend and hopefully I will have lost some more;)

More or less behaving myself so far today..

    B - cherries & berries cereal
Snack - half of a very small hot x bun
    L - cup a soup & small corned beef (1 thin slice)sandwich
D- will be left over Sunday dinner - lots of veggies

So if I can keep off the in-between snacks I should be ok.

Since DH retired, he has taken over the hoovering and dusting, and I still do the food, washing, ironing, changing beds etc., but at least he does something and I appreciate that. I work 2 full days and 1 part day each week so we muddle through ok.

So sorry to hear that theatregirl, it makes my blood boil that employers think it's okay to be bad mannered and ignore candidates these days. Proud to say I always acknowledged everyone who attended for interview in my business. I hope you hear one way or t'other soon.
northwest pleased to see you pop in, and hope your scare has been put right.

So pleased all this talk about choccy bars isn't tempting me. Mind you if it was cheese I'd have been away to the shops long ago! ;)

B - spicy fruity porridge, ss milk, nectarine, plum
D - egg salad, 1/2 slice bread with rf spread
T - 3 crackebread with vegemite, cheese & pickle, marmalade
    S - fruit
E - none to speak of, pottering with a duster this morning, sleep afternoon
