    Hi,

    Can I join you all?

I want to lose weight, without joining any groups, whilst still sticking to my £140 a month food budget for me, hubby and two girls (2 & 3) and cooking from scratch, without cooking separate meals for me!

    Phew, not many conditions!

Ideally I want to lose 4 stone, but am giving myself a year to do it in, am aiming for next summer

    Today I've had:-

B: nothing (naughty but in a rush to get out)
L: half a cheese and ham baguette, cherry toms, yoghurt, mini roll
D: Spanish style omelette, using up bits and pieces from the fridge.

I've been using the myfitnesspal app, found that really useful, also started seen a health trainer through the NHS last week, another 5 visits left!

Welcome to the gang cazj80 :D, are you wanting to join in on the current challenge? If so you just need to let me know how much weight you would like to lose by the last Friday in June and I will add you in!

Will I ever change my eating habits enough that when I think TREAT I don't immediately go to the same old fattening foods?
I feel like I'm never going to lose this weight, and it's all my own fault :(

Ellie99, we all have days like this! In fact, i think it does us a bit of good because once we've picked ourselves up and dusted ourselves off, the motivation returns with a vengence.

    My ideas:

They say to break a habit you have to not-do-something 7 times. Could you stick something on the fridge to count your '7 times' as a motivation?

Or if you must have the pizza, cut out the middle part (like at Pizza E) and fill it with salad and then have half the chips. The beer, well, you could halve it with sparkling water which is what a lot of the girls at my work have started doing?

Sorry to ramble, just getting my thoughts down.

    Don't give up! <----(thats a half-beer-half-water:rotfl:)

financially-gaga thanks for making me smile :), although my motivation hasn't returned yet...I think it must have gone on holiday with officeguru or sparrer or Dundee doll :rotfl:

I've never heard of cutting out the middle of a pizza, that's the best bit! I did the opposite last night, I left all the crusts.

The breaking a habit thing is very interesting...I've managed to break my chocolate cravings (well, 99.9% of the time...I ate my pizza last night, and then thought "I should have got some chocolate as well!!! Luckily there was none in the house).

I wonder if I could manage 7 times in a row when I'm having a special meal, and don't choose the usual fattening things? I think I'll try that, thank you.

Am I really the first person today to sneak out from hiding and 'fess up to today's total?

Ok, well I'll start the bidding with a 1/2lb loss today! I nearly didn't bother reporting it but thought if I take that weight as my start for the next week, I really need to lose more so I can record something next week

I am absolutely determined this week not to finish the weekend a lb or 2 heavier than my wiegh-in wieght so I don't have to spend all week trying to get back to where I started!

There aren't any Bank Holidays or parties or anything like that to distract me so I should be ok..............shouldn't I?!?!
  • I have STSed this week :D

Celebrated with a fishfinger sandwich and 4 chocolate biscuits lol.

I totally get that sentence, it makes perfect sense :)

In a pathetic attempt to right my pizza wrongs, I'm going to give myself the extra day and post my weight tomorrow...todays wasn't good enough!
