I thought there wasn't a weigh-in due to the next challenge not starting for a fortnight .... or did I dream all that ???

Ohhhh.... I don't believe I will have lost weight then...

    Hi Welshwoofer,

I'm sorry I forgot to say hello... but I don't feel as cheery now that there is a weigh-in in a couple of days and there is not a lot I can do about it !!!

I'm a bit nervous for my first weigh in as I ended up having a bit of a splurge on some choccies last night! After having had a burger in a bap with some oven chips for dinner....

    Hi Eyebright,

Don't be nervous about the weigh-in... Just be truthful ! :) and don't shift the scales all around the bathroom floor trying to get the lightest weight !!!! Ellie and I discussed the benefits of eating chips in a sandwich and I think we agreed that would be a no no... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

If you can do it, don't have anything in the house that you can munch on ... I think I have good willpower but if I carried the step ladder up the basement stairs (which are narrow) and then lugged them up another two flights of stairs, I would be able to reach the white Toblerone, the Italian Torrone and the Border biscuits that are sitting on the top of the wardrobe :j:j:j but, instead, the ladder is still in the basement... :( and I am too heavy to risk standing on any chairs... Once I have lost more weight, and feel I can stand on a chair, the temptations will be moved up into the loft as there is no way.. and I mean no way that I will climb up the rickety loft ladder to a ceiling that is almost 15 ft high and then stand up in order to get through the loft hatch to get at the munchies :A

Hi Welshwoofer, how are you getting on??? I've not heard from you for a while... unless I've just not seen your posts..

You know, I think you have to run to the top of Ben Nevis and back down again to lose the calories in a chip sandwich (note to Eyesbright) ... I've bit the bullet and hired a cleaner... Yes, I know that I no longer work but with an old victorian house, the housework is never done so I decided to get a cleaner a couple of hours a week to do the jobs that never give me free time, like the front of the cupboards in the kitchen, the windows, the skirtings etc.. Well, she came yesterday and, of course, the house was clean.. but my betterhalf had lugged the ladder up from the basement so that she could do the inside/outside of the windows upstairs.. The windows are about 6 foot high in glass alone and it is about 4 feet up to the bottom of them so it is a ladder job.. so all my windows are now clean.. :)

Hell's teeth, I've just had a thought... I could have got my munchies down from the top of the wardrobe while the ladder was up the stairs :mad::mad:

Anyway, you take care of yourselves and I'll pop on again soon..:j:j

    Hi Mrs Dragon,

Just to let you know that I dragged out the wii scales and switched on for the Biggest Loser Weigh-in... I was not looking forward to it at all... at all !!! I had wellied into roast lamb with roast potatoes, border biscuits, wine, a couple of jelly babies (I don't like these, so I don't eat a lot of them but I still managed to pop a few into my mouth !) :o

Anyway, I know that you have the weigh-in results tomorrow, but I can't change the day on the biggest loser and, therefore, give me an extra day to try and undo the damage.. and guess what ????

I've lost 2 lbs :j:j:j:j and I am back onto my normal regime again.

Just a quick question... I take it that we are still on the original challenge and that the new challenge starts after the holidays ???

    Take care....

I'm quite excited for the weigh in tomorrow. I am not sure what kind of weirdo this makes me, but I don't own any scales and haven't been at work, so have no idea what the past week has done to me. I know I'll have put on weight, so I'm not actually too fussed about what it says this week. When the challenge starts (when does the challenge start??) I am sure it'll be a less enjoyable experience!

Today's food is again, not ideal, but finally back to work tonight, so at least getting back into some routine.
Brunch - "eggy concoction" basically eggs fried into some bread with cheese and baked beans, comes to a whopping 850 or so calories but the rest of the day makes up for that as...
Tea - tiny portion of HM spag bol, which is more veg than bol.

That will, most likely, be it. Also tonight's shift may involve some swimming or walking, so that would be nice!

    Morning all :)

Seems some of us are concerned about what we're eating - burgers, cake etc., - just my take on it but I think it's not what we eat but how much of it (like my slice of bread pud yesterday ). Denying myself every nice thing I enjoy is going to drive me straight to the larder, having some of it I feel I'm not doing vast amounts of damage or letting myself down. An eating plan shouldn't be a penance, the expression 'a little of what you fancy does you good' is so true because without a little of what you fancy you're more likely to pig out then feel guilty, and get into the catch 22 of yo-yo dieting. Just mho, I'm far from perfect - yes, really ;) - if I was doing it right all of the time I'd be a size 8 by now!

    On to today -

    B - Flo n Fred, sk milk
D - grilled Cumberland sausage, tomato & mushrooms, dry fried egg, slice of toasted Danish
T - mug of Aynseleys pea soup, 2 crackerbread
S - satsuma, grapes, apple, 'nana
E - 3x10 mins usual step/weights/stretch etc. Tried jigging along to the radio but ended in fits of coughing after a couple of minutes so might give that a miss in future!
Enjoy the rest of the day :)

The challenge started on the 30th March JellyBox, are you wanting to join in? if so how much do you hope to lose in 13 weeks?
