Hi all,
Please can I join you all for the latest weightloss challenge? I have been slowly and steadily losing weight since New Year. Was 12 stone exactly (and only 5ft2 ), am now 10 stone 10lbs and aiming to eventually get to around 8 st 7lb.
Can you put me down for 10lb for this challenge please, that will take me down to a round 10 stone ready for the next round of loss.
You are all very inspiring, hope to do be able to achieve some good losses as so many of you already have. I'm taking this slowly and steadily as I have read this is kinder to the body and is more likely to stay off.
I've also just got a gym membership in order to get more active, though working in a hospital I would say I say I get plenty of activity and running around
Thank you in advance for letting me tag along!0 -
Hi everyone
Daisiegg - congrats for wedding and have a lovely honeymoon:)
Joined SW this am as I have realised I cant do it on my own or even with the help of you lot, but I will keep posting everyday, cos I need all the help I can get, I seem to get very easily distracted by food:( I weighed in at a whopping 15st 2lbs Ive never been that heavy in my life as far as I know and Im quite disgusted by myself, how and why do we do it? I know the how but its the why I keep thinking about. Anyway with all the support and encouragement on here and knowing Im going to come on here each night will hopefully keep me from eating stupid foods:o So, Ihavent bought any scales but each week on a Tuesday I can post my weight loss at least I hope it will be a loss.
Anyway going off to bed before I eat that last bit of chocolate staring at me, infact I think I will go and lob it down the garden - well chocolate duly lobbed down the garden, good job its dark:rotfl:

Not really sure how well today will go food wise! Have an AS*A shop coming between 8-10 and the cupboards atm are well and truly bare! This means buying lunch from work and I never do well...:o0

Thanks for the kind comments ladies
3 sleeps for me! Argh! Just need to not eat and drink everything in sight as the nerves begin to get to me...
I have a whole bunch of bananas that are very ripe. What do we think, can I manage to make some banana bread and freeze it? Or if I make it will I eat the lot and not fit in my wedding dress?!0 -

Make the banana bread and have a little bit and freeze the rest. It's too close to Saturday for one piece to do any damage!
Have a GREAT day daisiegg :j

Love that image of you throwing chocolate down the garden :rotfl:
It can be very interesting to try and work out the WHY of why we eat what we do. I know I'm an emotional eater, and have given it some thought already, maybe I'll actually start writing about it, and work it out properly. Possible reasons - the way our parents treated food (our first experience of chocolate being a treat), losses in our lives, eating to fill a "hole" in our lives, comfort eating, low self esteem. Not always as easy as saying you just eat too much, work out the underlying reason and it may become easier to eat healthily. (I hope so anyway).

Just back from a 5km run - not been for a while so it was a bit of struggle but I managed it.
Going to make some soup later with veg languishing in the fridge - probably leek and potato to use up the leeks, will be scrummy with some toast.
Feeling much more positive about things lately
Good luck with the wedding Daisiegg - I'm sure you'll have a great day and the weather forecast is quite good for the photos.0 -
So far, so not healthy. Not sure what's wrong with me atm, no motivation to eat properly.
Breakfast has been 4 of those little danish butter cookies with some coffee. Ridiculous really!
Lunch will be cheese and crackers, a tasty treat, but will try to keep the portions reasonable.
Tea is going to be HM chilli with a bit of rice.
Hoping to stick to this and avoid the temptation of other snacks. Also need to cut down on the sugar in my coffee, MFP tells me it's about 90 calories, which is just stupid. That 90 calories could be used on food!0 -
