I've decided to make hot cross muffins. They are small, will remind me of home, can be toasted I guess later in the week if they go stale, don't have much fat or sugar (50g of each makes 12) and you have to knead the hell out of the dough which will be some good arm exercise. I think you were all right to go for something small. Thank you0

Been out for a buffet chinese meal with family tonight, so getting geared up now for my start on Monday, I will go up to B**ts and weigh myself, or may buy some scales if they're cheap enough. I cant wait to get started properly, and have found out tonight that DD is getting married next year, so it also gives me a good reason to shed my surplus weight

emmaneni, if you made little cakes or buns, could you take the ones that are left to work to share with your colleagues, don't tell them anything, just say you had time to make them in the holiday? Go on, fatten up your workmates, you'll look even slimmer beside them :rotfl:
I took my cakes to my meeting today, and they went down very well, everyone said they really enjoyed them (some of the men had 3 or 4 lol).
I also took a traybake I made, have discovered I shouldn't eat that. I sometimes have trouble with acid indigestion, and this traybake sets it off something awful. I ate a piece and within 5 or 10 minutes my stomach had started playing up. So my long journey in the car was pretty miserable, had to stop a couple of times because I felt sick with it. I made the same thing at xmas, and had the same reaction, so I think the evidence is conclusiveAt least it made me only eat a small amount of bland food for the rest of the day, which I'm happy about. The old me would have stopped at the chippy on the way home (I've been driving for 2 hours, I deserve it!) but tonight I came home and had a sandwich
Well done to everyone who's lost, looks like we've lost 2 whole people!
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0 -

That's lovely news nannyg, and a good incentive for you.
Last week I caught myself eyeing up my sons girlfriends mother to see if I thought she would be slimmer than me in any wedding photos...ridiculous, they're not even getting married yet! And also ridiculous because it's not a competition :rotfl:(btw, we're much the same...breathes big sigh of relief :rotfl:)

Im looking forward to the new challenge.
Thank you Dragon:T:T:TI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0
