Oh, I can't believe I forgot to report my progress on my personal challenge -
For the whole of this challenge, 12 weeks, I did not eat one single chocolate bar. :T
OK, there was some cake, and the very odd plain biscuit, but my achilles heel is chocolate bars...big ones, little ones, plain, flavoured....

So it's my own challenge ,and I make the rules :)....which are NO BARS. I think this will be the longest I've ever gone without any, and that's a quarter of the year gone already! If I gave up now I'd go back to my old habits, so I'm keeping going...I want to get to the stage where I don't see choc as a treat.

Happy Good Friday all :). Not so happy to report I've STS this week, I blame the hot x buns :o. Luckily I'm not a chocolate eater or I'd be reporting a massive gain! I really have to go for it now as I'm going to Oban in May to meet a lady in person who I met on line 10 years ago, so quite excited - my problem is she's slender and elegant so I need get to my correct weight if nothing else. What better encouragement to get serious for the next few weeks.

Sorry to hear about the date theatregirl but admire your attitude. Better no date than the awkwardness of turning him down at the end of a bad one.

    B - F&F, sk milk
L - chicken & rf mayo sandwich with 2 slices Danish, hot x bun with rf spread
D - chicken wings, jacket, ratatouille
S - satsuma, melon, nana, grapes
E - breathing rubbish today so am trying for getting up and moving about every half hour. On the bright side it can only get better

Enjoy the rest of the day :)

Just popping in again to post meal plan and update you all.

Thank you for all the kind words. They mean a lot. :)

Progressing nicely today and I HAVE treated myself - although the ATM I went to in order to get some cash took my card and processed my pin digits and all the screens after that - only to then spit my card out and wouldnt give me the money I asked for (£20). Was going mental about it, walked to another cashpoint and got money out there. Got home and the first transaction isnt even showing on the online banking so I was stressing out for nothing - but confused as to what happened!!

Anyway....I went to A's and found myself in the magazine aisle; bought 2 slimming magazines (SW and Rosemary Conley's) and then a travellers magazine because it had some features and articles about NY. So I am going to sit here tonight and browse magazines and feel good about myself :)

Oh and then I was naughty and spent a lot of money on other shopping (£40) and then another £7 in Burger King...... whoops. However I'm sure BK's burgers are shrinking, I asked for a bacon cheeseburger (king of the day) and it was tiny! Probably just as well I guess lol. :rotfl:

    mealplan:
b - oatibix cereal with ss milk
l - bacon cheese burger, chips, coke zero :o
    s - peppermint aero
d - DM is cooking gammon for the Easter weekend, so will have gammon slices and a few l/o oven chips in the freezer, and some salad.
s - will attempt to eat my chocolate cake slice tonight!

    Well, hello everyone...

I thought I was going to throw the rope over the rafter yesterday  I went onto the Biggest Loser weigh-in and guess what ??? Yes, it stated that I had put on 3 kilos..

Now, if I wanted to put on 3 kilos, I would have eaten

1: all the toblerone on top of the wardrobe...

2: I would have then made myself homemade ravioli, filled with fresh salmon and dill and then topped the lot with sage butter..

3: I would have eaten fried egg rolls all week and

4: Ate my way through homemade caramel and pear muffins..

but I didn't.. :( so what is there to do ???

I don't feel 3 kilos heavier... in fact my jeans zipper is getting closer than the week before :j

    mmmmm.... it's a mystery...

However, later on I decided to switch on the wii and weigh myself on the wii fit and guess what ???

    I have STS

    Thank G for that :j:j:j:j:j

Sparrer, you could always pop in an visit on route to OBAN... Not that we are anywhere near there but there's a lot up the east coast to see as well... Are you going to go on the steam train from Glasgow.. I think it was one of the ones used in the harry potter films...

    Hi Theatregirl,

I don't know if you have heard of the New York Greeters.. They are a voluntary bunch of NYorkers, who show visitors around NY. They take you to places that they think you would like to see but miss out as a tourist. They are free and it is pot luck as to whether you are lucky enough to get one.. They also show you how to use the underground safely and lots of other things..

and here is a good website about NY. You might already have seen it, but just in case:

    Take care
  • Thanks for the advice officeguru. I'll look into that :)
We have already booked a new york pass each in advance (the 3 day one) and plan to do a LOT of sightseeing. We are going to be nerdy tourists lol.

    :D

I finally hooked the Wii Fit up tonight and have done 20 minutes of it. Forgot how much I loved the hula hoop exercise! lol.
