On new years day I weighed myself and topped the scales at 14st 12lbs. I know that I had been stuffing my face full of junk for a while, but it still came a bit of a shock how much weight I had put on. I thought that maybe I was about 14 stone, but not nearly 15!!
Today, at the end of the 13 week challenge, I am 13st 4lbs, a loss of 22 lbs. I think that my ideal weight is about 12.5 stone, so still a little way to go, but I am not unhappy if I stay this weight.
I haven’t really changed my diet at all. I stopped taking sugar with my tea and coffee, and had 1 sandwich instead of 2, but that was about it. The main thing for me was cutting out all the junk. Every time I went shopping, I came back with chocolate, crisps, biscuits etc. And I couldn’t eat them one at a time, I had to eat the whole packet in one go! I thought that cutting all this out would be a struggle, but I was surprised how quickly I adjusted to it, and not wanting it. I still have the odd bad day, but I can live with that, as long as it only the odd one.
Dragon, could you please put me down for 11 lbs for the new challenge, I will try and get down to 12.5 stone.
That's an impressive weight loss, well done :T :T :T
and even more impressive that you've done it by cutting out extras. I'm trying to do much the same, but I think you've mastered it better than me
Its so encouraging to know that you don't have to live on lettuce leaves to be slim, and can eat a normal diet.
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0 -
Well done evveryone on you weight losses and sts!
I had a bit of a pig out last night...wine, crisps and chocolate. Sometimes you've just gotta have a splurge!
Going for a 3 mile run today and tomorrow we have an 8 mile walk planned although we plan to stop for lunch somewhere!
Have a good weeekend everyone

havent really read the slimming magazines so much emmaneni as flipping through them ooohing over the recipes although there were a couple of nice meal plans.
I had to go back and edit my mealplan from yesterday as I decided to be good and instead of the ww garlic bread I had some salad, and then another slice of hm cake. I want to say go for the lower weight! :rotfl: But... Where will you weigh in next week? I think it's best to go with the one you plan to weigh in on every time, to give you something compare. For example if you go for the wii fit this week and next week on the scales you've lost 2lb. Then if you will think it's only 1lb. I hope that makes sense.
I went for my swim this morning but there were lessons going on.. :S I decided to go back this afternoon instead as there was already 5 people in the non lesson lane. I'm not sure why there was a lesson as there has never been before, maybe because the pool is closed tomorrow and Monday.
I'm going to the supermarket in a bit. Not sure what to buy though, I have no inspiration. But it will be closed for the next 2 days so need to get some food in.
I need some advice too please lovely people. There is a Hungarian tradition at Easter when the men go to the houses of female friends and family on Monday morning. They squirt you with perfume (or cheeky ones, vast amounts of soda water!) and say a poem. It's supposed to represent fertility and cleansing. The problem is it's a tradition to give the men cakes in return. I've always been at my ex's for Easter and so have no idea whether I will be visited on Monday. Do I bake and risk being left with cakes to eat myself? Or do I not and risk the terrible embarrassment of having nothing to give them? The second would be seen as a great failure.0 -

It does and I usually weigh in on our bathroom scales. But because the Wii said I was 1lb less....I'm like you and want to do the lower weight hahahaha. I'm really not sure how accurate the Wii is.Do I bake and risk being left with cakes to eat myself? Or do I not and risk the terrible embarrassment of having nothing to give them? You could make fairy cakes. If you make mini ones they are only about 50 cals each apparantly. Or do you have friends/relatives you could pass them to if theyre not eaten?0 -

emmaneni I agree with theatregirl's idea, much better to make small cakes than big ones. The worst that can happen is you'll be left with some, perhaps you could give them to a neighbour, an elderly person, or staff at the swimming pool?
theatregirl apparently a wii can be 3lb +-, the 'professionals' advise weighing on doctors surgery scales. My GP's scales made me half a stone heavier than mine do! Now I just stick to the one I always use and ignore any others
rhcp that's fantastic! Well done you :T
B - Flo and Fred, sk milk
L chicken, cucumber and tomato sandwich in 2 slices Danish w/rf spread. Hot x bun w/rf spread
D - chicken wings, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, mushrooms, beetroot. Hm oil/vinegar/garlic dressing
S - nana, satsuma, apple, melon
E - 2x10 mins so far, slow walk around the shopping centre of nearby town, bellows feeling carp now so will have a siesta and try to do another 10 mins later
