Oh, I can't believe I forgot to report my progress on my personal challenge -
For the whole of this challenge, 12 weeks, I did not eat one single chocolate bar. :T
OK, there was some cake, and the very odd plain biscuit, but my achilles heel is chocolate bars...big ones, little ones, plain, flavoured....

So it's my own challenge ,and I make the rules :)....which are NO BARS. I think this will be the longest I've ever gone without any, and that's a quarter of the year gone already! If I gave up now I'd go back to my old habits, so I'm keeping going...I want to get to the stage where I don't see choc as a treat.

You're doing so well Ellie, keep it up. :T

Sparrer I'm sure you'll look fantastic and she'll think so too.

Theatregirl, if you read anything interesting in the slimming magazines be sure to pass it on to us!

Congratulations to anyone who lost. I should have weighed in this morning as my day could be described as neither money saving, old style nor weight loss! I got myself up and out of the house early this morning and took the bus to our nearest city, an hour away. I walked around the shops then stopped for an espresso and an Easter biscuit. I couldn't resist the biscuit, it was so cute. Did some more walking around the town for a few hours. Went to a nice pub for lunch where my mum and I went when she came to visit. More walking. Bus home and it was raining a lot so stopped for espresso and a slice of cake.

    b. coffee and biscuit
    l. Roasted calamari stuffed with feta and basil, salad and wedges. A huge Aperol spritz (love these)
    d. coffee and a slice of cake.
    e. nmtz 1 set and 55 minute swim.

I'll report back tomorrow with a weigh in. Night all.

Sparrer, you could always pop in an visit on route to OBAN... Not that we are anywhere near there but there's a lot up the east coast to see as well... Are you going to go on the steam train from Glasgow.. I think it was one of the ones used in the harry potter films...

aww bless you OG, was going to drive but now I'm going up by coach from Victoria as it's only £37 each way and I don't have the stress. I don't know Scotland well, I went to Ayr some years ago and the Edinburgh Tattoo last year so I'm looking forward to this trip

Thank you, hopefully if our phone calls are anything to go by we'll be too busy chatting and laughing to worry about appearances :)

I made and iced a banana loaf this afternoon, packed it up in greaseproof and a tin to take to DGD tomorrow. Sooooo tempted, but didn't even have a lick of the bowl. I feel so self-righteous!

    Night night :)

    Morning all!
Just popping in to report a STS - no surprise after the week I've had of wine drinking, chocloate and general slip ups.
The main meals have been fine but its the extras that have been my downfall this week.:o At least the scales haven't gone up though.
I'm on holidays for 2 weeks now though and am determined to be lighter (if only by 2 lbs) by the time I go back to work. So its sensible eating and lots more exercise for me!

Happy Easter everyone - I have a bag of Revels in the house but thats it - an egg free zone.

Woohoo!!!! Amazingly I can report a 2lb loss. Which means I am officially, for the first time in about 10 years not overweight according to my bmi. :j

It's not over yet though. I want to complete the next challenge. Hopefully that will mean my incredibly stubborn belly wobble will disappear.

Oooo I'm so smiley this morning. I can't quite believe it, especially after yesterday.

    i am happy to report a 2lb loss :j
I am so glad to to have lost on the last week as I have been definately struggling with sticking to my diet the last few weeks.

I have decided to try and incentivefy myself and have bought myself a piggie bank, am planning to put £1 in for every £ I loose so that I will be able to treat myself at the end (should have a lot saved if I get to target:rotfl::rotfl:). Not sure what to do if I gain any though should I take it back out??
Next week will be a challange though as I am off work with kids, and the weather is not so good so may be mostly in doors, but will try to resist their sharing of Easter Eggs?
Well done all of us I think:T

Sirens great idea. Don't take the money out, it will cost you more if you have to repay for the same pounds again. Which hopefully will make it more of an incentive to only lose.

On new years day I weighed myself and topped the scales at 14st 12lbs. I know that I had been stuffing my face full of junk for a while, but it still came a bit of a shock how much weight I had put on. I thought that maybe I was about 14 stone, but not nearly 15!!

Today, at the end of the 13 week challenge, I am 13st 4lbs, a loss of 22 lbs. I think that my ideal weight is about 12.5 stone, so still a little way to go, but I am not unhappy if I stay this weight.

I haven’t really changed my diet at all. I stopped taking sugar with my tea and coffee, and had 1 sandwich instead of 2, but that was about it. The main thing for me was cutting out all the junk. Every time I went shopping, I came back with chocolate, crisps, biscuits etc. And I couldn’t eat them one at a time, I had to eat the whole packet in one go! I thought that cutting all this out would be a struggle, but I was surprised how quickly I adjusted to it, and not wanting it. I still have the odd bad day, but I can live with that, as long as it only the odd one.

Dragon, could you please put me down for 11 lbs for the new challenge, I will try and get down to 12.5 stone.

    that's great emmaneni, well done! :T :T :T

Sounds like you had a good day yesterday, and all that walking would help counteract the cake :) (I think I'm finally fed up with cake)
Enjoy the rest of your easter break, and keep being smiley!

What a good idea. I'm already putting a pound in a piggy bank for every book I read and part with (19 so far this year) and also a pound for every toiletry item I use up...have too many lotions and potions, funnily enough they don't get rid of the wrinkles if you leave them in the cupboard, they have to go on your skin, who knew? :) I've never been so well moisturized :)

I like the idea of doing the same for every pound lost, already thinking what I'd buy when I'm slim.
