Hello everyone
Pleased to report that I've lost 2lb this week. Thanks to all for the ongoing support/ideas on here. I don't really have time to come on everyday and say what i've eaten but this week breakfast everyday-muesli, lunch everyday-tin of tuna, tea-varied but small portions. Not because I've been really good, but because I've used up my storecupboard this month and it might just stretch to pay day. More tuna and muesli!!
Thanks Penguinnweight loss 6/21 lbs0 -

HI
I am pleased to report I have finally lost 2lb! Off the plateau I have been on for about 6 weeks. I am sure that cutting out bread, pasta, rice and potatoes from my evening meal has made a big difference, stopped me feeling bloated. Will see how we go. I am now lightest I have been in at least 3 years :T
:T:T:T ragz, you're a star! Many would have given up long before now, I know it's been a difficult time for you trying to get of that plateau but now you've taken the leap and it's no less than you deserve, so BIG congratulations. Also, thank you very much for keeping us all in order, it would have my brain looking/feeling like a plate of spaghetti
Have been faithfully following Paul McK, the book is brilliant but when I play the cd I keep falling asleep at his drowsy voice :rotfl:. One thing I've started to do is leave a little bit of food (even if it's just not scraping the plate clean, or a teasp jelly etc) to break that 'must clear my plate' habit which was instilled into me as a child. It was difficult at first but am sure it will reap its rewards in time, and for now I never leave the table feeling uncomfortably stuffed any more
Many congratulations to everyone, you're sticking with it and that's what matters0 -

Morning all
STS for me this week, which is a bit of a shame but at least I havent put any back on. I actually feel like I have done quite well with eating and exercise so hopefully next week will show results.
Have just had my shredded wheat before hubby gets up and starts cooking bacon and sausages so I wont be tempted to eat anything unhealthy! Off to do some housework now.0 -
JBD - Plateaus are a pain in the bum! Try a different tactic, may shake things up a bit. I really found that cutting down heavy carbs helped me, or try a new exercise strategy. It will start coming off again, also you may have gained some muscle

In my case I think my plateau is due to the TOTM, which is a little bit unpredictable due to my age [51], I'm never really sure what is going on with my hormones. So I will just carry on for another week and see how it goes. I don't want to cut down my carbs any further.
Talking about muscles, I can see a little bit of muscle definition in my arms and legs [probably from swimming], I am getting better at push ups as well. I will have to get weighed at Boots again as the scales do body fat %, though I'm not sure how accurate they are.0 -
Morning all
B - 30g F&F, ss milk. Not really impressed but filled up with 2 mugs of tea
L & D - tba, going to pick up 15 y/o DGD2 in a mo and we usually eat what she wants. Thankfully she's grown out of the McD stage and is into healthier choices, except her passion for ice cream, which I can take or leave now. Til Summer
Will complete at the end of the day, have a good one0 -
