Ragz I have sts again. I'm not really sure why, I am going to put in a big effort over the next week to see if I can get things moving again.
My meal plans for today are -
B - porridge with dried fruit
    L - quinoa +ratatouille cheesy bake
tea - wholemeal pitta, houmous, salad
S's -LF greek yoghurt, fruit, nuts
    exercise - swimming, walking.

Good luck with the weigh ins! Hope everyone has a good day.

Well done to all who have lost this week :T:T:T

I am drawing a line under this week.....

I will not weigh in this week as it will just discourage me as I am starting afresh today.

Good luck for Weigh-Ins and thank you Ragz for updating the scores x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Good morning all :)

Well, after going through my eating plan and re-organising it last week, and putting my days worth of calorie counted snacks in a small tub in the fridge (so when they are gone, they are gone!) I have managed to lose 2lb this week :j

    Morning all :)
I'm back at work today, feeling much better! :j did have a mini relapse yesterday afternoon though, so didn't feel up to cooking dinner. Leaving it up to DH again led to takeaway pizza, as he'd exhausted his cooking repertoire :o

    Today:
    Breakfast: grapes, yoghurt
Lunch: chicken sandwich, babybel, grapes, clementines
    Dinner: lasagne, green veg.
Snacks: we've got some sort of corporate presentation this afternoon where there may be free ice cream samples, would be rude not to ;)

Just think, Spring is around the corner and it will get a lot easier then, no ‘SAD’ to deal with, longer days and much more Vit D (apologies Kiwisaver, but then again, depending on where you are, our spring temp is much the same as your winter temp)

No need to apologise; our weather and daylight doesn't differ that much to the UK in Spring and Autumn and then we have similarly variable summer - it's never as cold but rains a lot more.

Apparently it is summer at the moment, not that we've seen much evidence to support this. :( This is the last weekend of school summer holidays and its rained all day again today and quite chilly this evening; we've not yet seen two days of sunshine in a row.

Most disappointed to report STS after weighing myself today. I felt good all the week and it was looking like I was two pounds down yesterday, but feeling really bloated and bleugh today. Hopefully the loss is hiding there somewhere and will come back next week.

Morning Everyone, :T to the losers and STS, at least your not putting on.

I wasn't feeling too hopeful when I stepped on the scales this morning after some of the stuff I've eaten this week, however the half lb that I lost last week has been joined by another one this week so am happy to declare a 1lb loss.

Woop, woop, woop :j, another smiley for me please Ragz.

Kiwisaver - I had heard that parts of the Island were getting some large amounts of rain. I was lucky enough to spend 3 wks touring the North in Feb last year, only had one day of drizzly rain and they were saying that it had been the best summer for years, temp never got below 29.

PS - Does anybody have any ideas how I can jazz up a gammon joint in a low cal way. I'm ashamed to admit, at my age that I've never cooked one before, I have boiled it and have searched the interweb for topping ideas before roasting but the recipes all seem to have copious amounts of sugar/honey/maple syrup - any ideas?

I think you came at the right time; but you never can bank on it. February is usually the best of the summer, typically like the Uk the sun will arrive just when kids go back to school.

Although I'm 3 weeks too late (story of my life) please may I join you. I stood on the scales this morning - 14st 3lb! 1 stone heavier than I was before Christmas!!! I am 5ft 3ins so I leave the picture to your imagination. I then, out of interest, worked out my BMI which I believe should be below 25. GULP. Just over 34.
When I have an hour or two to spare I will read through the whole thread but I desperately need to commit to something right now. Would you mind? Between a half and 1 lb a week sounds just about right to me and I would love to lose half a stone by the end of this challenge.

  • Can you put me down for a 3lb gain please ragz:(

A little dissapointed but I guess being realistic a few sessions in the gym aren't going to undo the naughtyness from last weekend. I weighed myself when I got back on monday and I had put on 4lb so I guess at least I've lost one since then, but still not the loss I was hoping for.

Must try harder to be good next week :A
