It's a real eye opener when you weigh things out isn't it. It's taken me a while but trying to find a balance that I am satisfied with that doesn't send the calories soaring. I have settled on having 25g of Muesli with 90g of greek yoghurt and a piece of fruit. Last week I stewed up some near to manky fruit too, which was nice stirred through the yoghurt an muesli.

Will definitely try that, never had it with yogurt. But I want to try it NOW and I have just had a 200cal bag of fruit and nuts :(

ETA I gave in and tried it, had to stir in a spoonful of jam as I'd forgotten I don't like the sharp taste of greek yogurt. Even with that I worked it out as about 150cal so a nice snack that could wekk work as a breakfast if I ate it with fruit...

  • Hi All, I’ve finally caught up on everybody’s post and hope those that have been poorly are beginning to feel better and for those who are “flagging” – Come On We Can Do It!!! - Just think, Spring is around the corner and it will get a lot easier then, no ‘SAD’ to deal with, longer days and much more Vit D (apologies Kiwisaver, but then again, depending on where you are, our spring temp is much the same as your winter temp)

I have just been looking through the “What are you making for dinner” thread for inspiration, and drooling at the thought of Cheese & Onion Pie or as I would call it Cheesy Mash, but I WILL not deviate from my plan – only mental note to self - cheesy mash next week (yum, yum)
    So today I had
    B – Yoghurt & stewed apples.
L – 2 large slices of toast with mashed banana.
    D – Spag Bol, broccoli.

Good luck for those weighing in tomorrow, fingers x.

  • hi everyone,

i know im a bit behind but was hoping i could join you?

im really unhappy with my weight at the minute. i started a diet on monday and have seriously fallen off the wagon today.

my OH will be away from next tuesday until sunday so im hoping that will be a good kick-start as i wont have him sneaking in treats!

    im 5foot 6 and currently weigh 16st 8lbs:eek:

when i was in labour at the hopsital with my little one, i weighed myself in the bathroom when they were trying to con me that a hot bath would help and i weighed 16st 5lbs.
after i had baby i got down to about 14st 1lb on weight watchers but when i put on 8lbs in one week i gave up.

im hoping a forum like this will help, everyone seems really nice.

i will weigh myself next on the the second of feb.

    thanks

  • Good day today :j have managed to stick with in my cals and have done another gym and swim session.

Was feeling a little aprehensive about weigh in tomorrow, but as I was getting out the pool my swimming costume came down and the poor old life guard got a bit more of an eye full than he expected!! _pale_  Was rather embarrassing at the time but guess on the plus side it means I'm loosing some inches if not pounds :p

Good luck for tomorrow everyone, heading off for early night (so don't get tempted to eat any more!! ;))

    B: Muesli with extra sultanas
    L: Chicken salad. Banana
D: Roast pork sandwich with pickled onions on HM bread. Also 1/3 of the crust of the still warm bread dripping with butter. Clementine.
Snacks: Several Quality Street. Bowl of muesli with sultanas.

Exercise: 2 hours of Pilates. Walks to work and exercise class and back and to DGD's tonight so about 3 miles in total.

Hmm weighed again today and seen to have lost 2 kg in the last four days or so, which would be 4.4lb, I'm going to record that as a loss but I'm not convinced that it's real....

Weighed at GP last Tuesday eve 77kg, weighed this Monday eve 76.1kg which looked right at about a 2lb loss, then this morning I'm 74.1kg so another 4.4 lb down which seems a huge loss.

I'm planning to WI on a Friday morning so will keep going and see what happens next week

    Morning All :j

Friday WI! And I've lost a further 1lb. Makes a total of 8lb. Go me!:T:T

I've been good food-wise this week. I don't post my meals as I'm pretty repetitive (e.g. I cook myself a sunday lunch - smaller portion - and eat that for 4 days!), but it works for me, and stops me wondering what to have/stuffing myself while I think about it. Not one chocolate has been bought/passed my lips all month :T

However, I am starting to slip into old ways with the alcohol on an evening, though, again, I'm keeping the "portion-size" half of what I'd have had before. Even so...I know I'm sliding, so need to watch that. I think it's just that the alcohol is in the house. I'm determined not to buy any to replace it until Easter...:A

Still, am happy to have 8lbs less fat to carry around, and am looking forward to breaking through the 11 stone barrier. This week maybe....? :)

Good luck everyone. Keep up the good work. TFI Friday :)
