Today I did a bit of Week one Couch 2 5K again, still can't seem to get myself past doing two or three of the running bits and just end up walking the rest. I find it hard going, especially starting from home as we're surrounded by hills and the first five minutes walk is uphill all the way. Just as I get to the top I am meant to start the first run. :rotfl: Still, I love doing the faster paced walking motivated by the music, so surely it's better than doing nothing.
Was off work today, done three hours of gardening and a load of housework and seem to be well below my usual calories. I have eaten heaps, including some icecream and chocolate digestives.
Late Breakfast / Brunch: Rice Crispies and Toast
Dinner: Humungous egg and boiled bacon caesar salad with a handful of homemade wedges. Roasted apricots with icecream and drizzle of honey.
Afternoon teabreak: Chocolate digestives (3 of)Mortgage
Start January 2017: $268,012

Morning All, I hope everyone is doing well, I'm ready to start the week with added determination.
Had a busy weekend dashing about and not really sticking to my menu plan, but did manage to be organised and take HM sarnies with me.
Sue14 - Me too, I did try mine on - but aaaaaargh the "muffin top" above the waistband :eek:, no amount of baggy t-shirts or tops will disguise that. Tummy crunches twice a day for me.
Today will be
B - Yoghurt & stewed apples
L - Egg Sandwich, fruit.
D - HM Baked Ham salad.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £119.54
Aug - Grocery spends = £16.930 -
STS for me this week. Not terrible but was hoping for better. Was out for t on Sat and had what I wanted, but did 1/2 stepper in the afternoon so didn't go too much over.0

morning all.
i am really struggling this week, i am annoyed to have put on 1lb this week
i have got to get back into it as it's making me miserable, my tummy looked about 8 months pregnant on saturday
i think i maybe need to eat less bread as something is clearly not agreeing with me. i eat a high fibre diet, drink loads of fluids and still my body is not doing what it should iykwim
anyway, onwards and upwards, the plan for today is:
50g high fibre, no sugar muesili, a few cubes of fresh pineapple and ss milk
hm salad nicoise with small amount of tuna, egg, anchovies and lf salad dressing. 2 x ryvitas
dinner will either be more salad nicoise or LO fish pie
hope you are all doing better than me- prior planning prevents poor performance!

Hi
Good news, two pounds off; bad news, still half a bad of millet to chew through!
Have also resolved to hit the gym five time this week; to get my money's worth ,if nothing else!0 -
Right I went on the scales yesterday as didn't get a chance on Friday. Showed -1 lb I'm not sure if I've really lost it as I was using different scales to normal, however I am going to take what I can get as it may be the last loss for a while as I have given up smoking and haven't had a cigarette since Friday afternoon (pause for applaud).
I know I am going to want to keep my hands busy so may end up eating more than normal but I have been practising my will power (had a box of quality street in my office since December and only got opened last week because someone else wanted one- I still haven't had one!). Anyway thought that I couldn't force oh to scrimp and save for our wedding if I was going to keep on smoking and at the end of the day my lungs are more important than my waistline.
I'm still going to try and lose weight but have almost resigned myself to the fact that I probably won't meet my challenge by Easter but if I still havent had a cigarette by Easter I will consider it a success.0 -
Morning all, not long woken up
, I certainly needed the sleep after yesterdays exercise!
Brunch - sausage, egg, tomato, mushroom, onion, 1 slice toasted Danish
Dinner - hm veg soup, 2 crackerbread
Snacks - satsuma, pear, melon
Exercise - 1/2hr pulm, 5 mins step (legs ache like crazy after yesterdayso taking it slowly today)
Enjoy the rest of the day0 -
trinity-enigma well done on stopping smoking. You are right, your lungs are the most important thing. I stopped smoking a few years ago and it was the best thing I have ever done, it really is the most important single thing you can do to improve your health. You will soon start to notice the benefit when you are exercising. Best of luck!0

Good Afternoon
I try not to eat after 6pm of an evening but last night decided to eat when OH came home from work, so we ate at 7.30pm. Could still feel it a bit when I went to bed as we had a main meal. Will definitely keep to eating before 6pm as it seems to be better for me
Breakfast: luxury fruit muesli + ss milk
Lunch: 2 slices seeded bread, danish style with cottage cheese, pepper, cucumber + tomatoes. 1 orange
Dinner: Beefy bean casserole (like a cottage pie with baked beans)
Drinks: water
Hope everyone is keeping going and have a lovely day

Afternoon all.
I've fallen off the wagon quite badly over the past few days - I've been feeling stressed and sad, and reacted by eating and drinking way too much. Today's fuzzy, headachey feeling should be a warning to me that this isn't a good idea.
B - porridge with brown sugar
L - chickpea and tomato soup; 2 cheese and onion 'sausage' rolls; two slices HM white bread (no butter); apple
S - banana
D - veg satay noodles
Exercise - 20 minutes walk at lunchtime
That's not very good, is it? I really must try and re-find my enthusiasm.
trinity_enigma - :T:T:T:T:T:T:T Very well done for giving up!Back after a very long break!0
