As a bit of motivation when we started this plan I decided to measure myself as a few others have done. I jotted them down and today I took them again to see what has been shifting as I have lost 11 lbs or so, so far.
I have lost 1" from each of my upper arms, bust and thighs. 1.5" from my waist and hips plus half an inch from my calves ! Chest has stayed the same though I don't have a lot of fat there and I am only 1 " bigger than when I was a teenager :D so not planning on getting too small in that department.

I was very surprised and pleased with this and it will motivate me further as we travel on this life plan together :T

ergh, writing today off well and truly. I won't go into the horrid details of my food choices but I'm sat here feeling sickly and bloated.

It's not a nice feeling, wish I knew why we did it to ourselves!

I shall get up tomorrow and take the doggy on a long walk. I never feel like sabotage when I've enjoyed a good walk.
  • Last piece of DD birthday cake shared out and eaten so no more temptations around.

Having a half hour lunch break really encourages lean eating (just time for cup of soup with a roll and a banana).

:T trinity-enigma well done :T! Almost 5 years since I had a cig and what a difference, I'm physically, mentally and financially so much better off since I stopped. You'll be saying the same before long, welcome to the club ;)

Just adding a square of lemon drizzle cake to today, baked specially for me as I was giving a talk this evening. Well I couldn't exactly refuse, could I? :o Will work harder at exercise class tomorrow to try and work some of it off
  • Hi everybody and well done to the losers and STSers!

I'm not weighing myself this week, because I had two very "bad" days at the weekend - both involving copious amounts of high-calorie alcohol (strong lager on one day, Guinness on the other day) :o and one leading onto crisps and Bombay mix :o

Rather than see that I've put on weight and then get annoyed with myself, I'm just going to forget about those days and pretend I'm starting afresh.

I need to find some way of coping when I'm at music gigs - I just associate them with drinking a lot :rotfl:. I did start drinking JD instead of pints, and having a pint of water as well, but not everywhere sells it. JD not water, obviously.

Anyway, onwards and upwards (well, hopefully downwards).

Oh - and anybody who tried my breakfast with the microwaved porridge and fruit, I should have said DON'T FORGET TO PUT A PLATE OR SOME OTHER COVER OVER THE PORRIDGE BOWL!!! Otherwise you will have a microwave full of spattered porridge - and no breakfast .... :o

I've tried to lose weight so many times before, so I'm starting small and aiming for 7lbs.

  • I'm so ashamed of myself. I had a proper binge last night. Had a prawn and cocktail sauce dipper, a shapers bar and half a bag of wine gums. And I also had dinner (Omlette and beans.)

I had been so good yesterday and just ruined it all. I don't know why I do this. I wasn't even hungry by the end of it but could not stop binging. Starting to think I have serious food issues. I could just cry.
