Morning all!
After a bad day on Monday I had a much better day yestersay
B: cereal bar small glass of smoothie
L: 2 slices of small toast, weight watchers spaghetti, shape yogurt, banana, satsumaVegetable and quorn curry with boiled rice
Snacks: 2 more satsumas, a 99 cal biscuit and a glass of weight watchers wine which is surprisingly nice! (I wouldn't normally drink wine during the week but it was to celebrate the end of a very stressful month at work. I work in tax and yesterday was the deadline for submitting returns.)
Today i'm hoping to be equally good and the plan is
B: small glass of smoothie, cereal bar.
L: egg mayo sandwich, yogurt, bananapasta with pesto and veg
Snacks: grapes, satsumas

Thanks for the support everyone. I just get so guilty because you all seem to have so much willpower and I get angry at myself for not having that.
Come hide in my kitchen for a few days and see how much willpower I have! :rotfl: Seriously, we all have those days, we just don't all post about them
I just had TWO bagels with butter and jam for breakfast. Not to mention all the cake offcuts and leftover buttercream icing I ate yesterday. It's a wonder I am not seriously overweight!
JayII - Welcome to the thread, I'll add you to the challenge.
Friday WI I am off for a weekend in a hotel with DH on Friday :smileyhea, so won't be updating the list until Sunday night at the earliest so please don't think I have deserted you, keep posting your results and I will get there. It's dinner, bed and breakfast so I will be taking full advantage of the three course meal and the continental breakfast, drinking in the bar (or in our room) and laying in bed.... and I am not going to feel at all guilty

Oh dear I seem to have lost the plot for the last week or more. I haven't weighed in this week and am dreading Friday
I bet I will have gained. I have been really stressed and tired and that is always my trigger.
I have managed to get back on track since yesterday. I will try to get in here every evenings to log my food. That seems to help me.

G'day all
B - Porridge, not tried it for years as the texture was too slimy/snotty but thought I'd give it another go as some of you find it a filling, warming start to the day. Still not overkeen but not as bad as I remember it, will persevere now I've bought it as I can't afford to waste it!! I forgot til I'd made it that I used to put a dash of salt in, but it tasted okay without
D - chilli chicken, mini naan
T - 3 rice cakes 1xVegemite, 1xlf Philly, 1xraspberry jam
Snacks - melon, grapes, pear, satsumasx2
Exercise - only 20 mins, feel sniffly'n'sneezy, headachy, generally carp. But this too will pass
Have a good day, stay warm0 -
Sparrer, I flavour my porridge with mixed dried fruit [Sainsbury's basic is fine] ,1/2 teaspoon of sugar and a good sprinkle of cinammon. Just bung it all in together and simmer for a few minutes. It tastes nice, I actually look forward to it now.
Sliced banana and stewed apple works well also. I save calories by using skimmed milk powder instead of semi skim milk.
A tiny celebration for me, I tried on a pair of size 12 jeans today and they fitted perfectly! I didn't buy them though as I am aiming for a size 10, and I want to look really good in them, with no muffin top whatsoever.0 -

Personally, I'm finding calorie counting works for me - I can have everything that I want, I just need to think about the other things that I eat and eat less than I would have before without the guilt of having slipped off the wagon.
I am also calorie counting, although you do have to take an informed guess sometimes eg if you're eating out. And it's a bit of a pain having to check all the packets and weigh things out at home.
I am trying to be careful not to eat unhealthily overall, even if I use up some calories on unhealthy food, because I think there's no point losing weight if you become really unhealthy as a result.
I'm taking vitamin pills etc as well, just in case.
People who are bingeing - I don't know if this is helpful, but I have honestly found that if I eat low GI foods (I think it's low not high) I don't crave stuff like sweet snacks which I used to do.
I am still drinking too much alcohol, but I think that's more of a habit rather than a craving as such. Thanks to the person who helpfully suggested alternatives to pints of ale, by the way!
I also think it's really important not to go down the road of "Well I've eaten so much now I might as well stop the diet altogether." A day or even more doesn't undo all the good work you've already done.
It just seems like it sometimes because if you've had a load of carbohydrates your body will retain more water and you'll seem to put on massive amounts of weight. But a week back on the diet will almost certainly see that come off again.
Good luck everybody!
Can't resist adding this smiley, sorry - I had too much to drink AGAIN last night - but it was my anniversary, well that's my excuse anyway .......

JBD thank you for the tips, I did wonder if I could use powdered milk so will try that. Also I like the idea of adding dried friuit, and cinammon, yum! I think it's my favourite spice. Sounds like porridge will be back on my breakfast menu.
I did have a bit of an incident this morning, was making tea so got the milk out of the fridge and at the same time a box (old ice cream tub) from the cupboard to store the porridge in. Wrote a label for the lid, stuck it on.....and poured the milk in the tub. D'oh!! :rotfl:0 -
Evening all.
B - Banana.
L - Chicken breast with steamed chinese veggies, onion and tomato spiced up with a hot pepper sauce.
T - 2 boiled eggs with crackerbreads (4)
S - A handful of grapes and 4 squares of chocolate.
E - 1 hour dog walk.
Today was my first weigh in as I am doing it monthly on the first of each month and I have lost 11 lbs. :j:j Hope I do as well this month.I find it's really helping knowing I am logging my food here - making me think ahead about my meals and not grab the nearest thing when I am hungry..

Hi All, just a quick post before I head off to bed. Been continuing with my bathroom re-decoration - does that count as exercise
.
For b/fast, today was boiled egg & soldiers.
Didn't have time to prepare lunch so that was toast, spreading cheese, toms & cucumber.
Dinner was leftover Mushroom Stroganoff, rice & veg.
