Friday WI I am off for a weekend in a hotel with DH on Friday :smileyhea, so won't be updating the list until Sunday night at the earliest so please don't think I have deserted you, keep posting your results and I will get there. It's dinner, bed and breakfast so I will be taking full advantage of the three course meal and the continental breakfast, drinking in the bar (or in our room
) and laying in bed.... and I am not going to feel at all guilty

Hello everyone, please may I join?
I used to subscribe to this tread a while back and since then have gone horribly off track, gaining approx 4 stone , having lost 5 previously. Last year was horrible for DH and myself and I admit to being a comfort eater which does nothing except make me more miserable.
My DH had a health scare which made him determined to change his life style and since then has lost at least 4 stone but as he was off the scales, it could be more. I carried on not caring about myself until Boxing day night I came down with a sickness bug and couldn't face any rich foods afterwards. So I thought now's the time do knuckle down and shift the flab.
On 14 Dec I weighed 15st 5.25lbs(there confession made) but I'm sure it was higher before the bug. I'm going to weigh myself monthly as I've found I get depressed if the weekly weigh in show little of no loss. On 29th Jan I weighed 14st 9.5lbs. My dog and I are on a mission to get me fit and we've been increasing the distance we walk over the past month and I try and do over 20 miles a week. It nearly killed me at first but it's getting easier now.
Reading the first page and comments about having treat days is just what my husband has read. He won't go more than 2 days without having a higher days allowance as he's read 'longer than two days low intake and your body goes into starvation mode and metabolism rate drops'. Hope this helps."It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life, gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are." Unknown0 -
Afternoon all. After a rubbish start to the week it's been a good few days. On the menu today:
B: Cereal bar, banana
L: small bakes potato with a snap pop of beans, ww yogurtpasta with roasted vegetables and some pesto
Snacks: grapes, satsumas, cup of tea. Lots of water!
Had a really good workout at the gym last night too. I actually jogged on the treadmill instead of walking! I'm sure this is not a big deal to most of you but i'm so unfit to be able to run, even for a few minutes is real progress for me.
Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on which way you look upon it) I too am going away for the night this weekend! And being a vegetarian I probably won't have much of a choice for dinner so can't even choose something healthy. Really looking forward to it though as I've had such a busy month at work and will be nice to get away from it all. Plus the hotel has a pool and gym so going to try and get a bit of exercise in.
Hope you have a lovely time away too ragz xxx0 -
Hope Ragz and Lauzt have a lovely weekend away :T:T:T
Im still trying to re-establish my equilibrium (not easy as the Witch is hovering). I wont be weighing in but am still trying and hopefully will have some positive weight news next week.
Good luck for the weigh-ins and keep on keep on trying xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
