  • Right, have to admit the cold really did make me comfort eat tonight - regular size tea from Costa + twirl bar from the corner shop before I started work, I was 1/2 an hour early! lol

Also my portion of pasta bake didnt seem to be the same size as the other ones I had last week, think that they were incorrectly portioned haha. So I had a little extra cheese, 1 wrap, and some crisps after the pasta....plus another kitkat.

Honestly, its the cold...I feel so much warmer now and have been drinking lots of juice - which seems to be doing the job warning off the cold I had last week.

Results came back tonight from the interview.....I didnt get the job.
Came down to experience but my manageress was quick to tell me not to be disheartened as she had a really difficult time picking one person from eight. She encouraged me to go after any other internal or external advertised position in future, similar to the one I did over Xmas so I could get more experience, and has also offered me the one on one time to go over the interview and what I did right and wrong etc.

Anyway, that was my night :)

Aww Theatregirl I'm so sorry to hear that, keep your chin up.

I'm here today to hold my hands up and confess. I have been a bad girl. Not on anything particularly unhealthy just grazing, instead of sitting down at the table and having set meals.

    Yesterday I had.
    Yoghurt, muesli bar.
Celeriac, apple and carrot mash with cabbage and onion gravy.
    Mango and blueberries
    Yoghurt
    Banana
30g oats with milk and tbsp raisins.

Sunday was pretty much the same.

I did do an hour swim on Saturday and Sunday. Yesterday I did week 7 run 1 and an hour swim. Great swim yesterday. Eye candy ahoy!:rotfl:

So today I'm back to 3 meals.

    B. ns yoghurt, ns muesli bar, banana
    L. Sweet potato jacket with tuna, red pepper and lime juice. Yoghurt hm coldslaw.
    D. HM beetroot and 5 spice soup.
    s. hopefully none but maybe 2 tbsp of dry fruit after swim before bed
    E. 1 hour swim

I think I know the reason behind my naughtiness. At the party on Friday night I felt great, I looked OK and got lots of compliments. BUT I am not finished yet so can't rest on my laurels. Sorry just had to write this down because it's somewhere I often slip up.

    Have a great day everyone.
  • The saga of my work interview continues.....!!

Email from work this morning announced not one but TWO casual duty managers (one of which is someone I do not like), we were told it was only one position available.
On top of that one of the other girls has also been promoted to Team Leader, a position I was not even aware had become available! Not a problem for three of the other people who interviewed as they already have this position on a normal shift....but for the two of us who are just normal staff it is absolutely shocking and I am livid.
Goes without saying that the other normal staff were not made aware of this position either.

I have all this theatre background, experience etc, and I have been with the company 2 years now [my colleague who is also normal staff has been with the company 9 years!], and been passed over. Needless to say I will be speaking with my manager at some time this week to convey how angry I am.

    Hi All

Sorry to be a bit lax in posting but I was off to my diabetic foot check at the hospital... I managed to persuade my betterhalf to take the day off so he took me into Edinburgh to buy some material for my long awaited holiday... Unfortunately, I had to buy double of everything as I couldn't get 60" wide... so it cost a lot more than planned... but I am itching to get started... :j:j:j You never know, I might be able to sell the surplus on ebay !!!!

    I'll catch you all tomorrow....:)

Well, I fell off the food wagon with a crash yesterday...
spent the day driving mother around, then we were hospital visiting all afternoon, by evening my back was aching with a vengeance, I didn't want to stand in the kitchen cooking.
The angel on one shoulder was saying "you can still make something healthy, just put something in the oven, you don't have to stand"...and the devil on my other shoulder was saying "go to the chip shop, you've not been for a month, go on, go on, you know you want to".
Well I'm sure you know who won...one fish and chips later, and I'm really annoyed at myself, I know from bitter experience that one takeaway can affect my whole weeks efforts (whether it adds up mathematically or not, it does :))
And you know what...it didn't even taste very nice.

If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?

    Morning all

Oreo (horreo :rotfl:) woke me up at 7am thumping  so got up and had a early breakfast.

Didn't post on here yesterday but had rather a bad night - I ended up hyperventilating a bit after climbing some stairs yesterday. I'm not sure if it was down to my vertigo (I was going to the upper circle with stock) or whether its the stresses of this whole promotion crap thats going on, or if its a combination of the two.

    So I've been comfort eating...again. :o

    Yesterday
b - cheese on toast, couple spoonfuls nutella
l - chicken salad sandwich, crisps, 4 segments chocolate orange
d - burger and chips, kitkat

    Today
b - cheese on toast, aero yoghurt
    s - biscuits with tea
l - chicken salad sandwich, crisps, 4 segments choc orange
    d- h/m cornedbeef pie - yum yum!

    :A

    Hi Ellie,
You know, your tale could be repeated by any one of us at any given time... Don't be annoyed... if you have a little slip, just move on.... I think it is more important that if you do have a slip, you should enjoy it !!!! :j and say to yourself, I really loved these fish and chips and savour every mouthful.... That way, you don't get eaten up with guilt (forgive the pun :)) and you get up the day feeling fine and getting on with life ... whereas if you get annoyed and feel like you do, it's harder to stay on track... :A

I don't believe that one slip-up will affect your whole week... unless you ate 2 fish suppers and finished it all off with a double kitkat !!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Just you carry one with a smile and joy in your heart and you'll be able to keep yourself on track again....

    Sleep well :)

PS I hope you didn't make a chip sandwich with loads of butter :)
