    Morning all :)

Well I have to confess I let myself down badly yesterday, but am blaming DD :p who dished up in the kitchen while I was told to sit at the dining table. 3 slices of roast beef, 4 roast tatties, 2 parsnips, 2 yorkies, carrots, cauli cheese, mashed swede. It was about what I'd eat in three ordinary dinners! I left 3 roast tatties a yorkie and sadly some of the beef which the knife went through like butter. Totally stuffed but she's such an amazing cook I enjoyed every mouthful. DGD1 made a trifle and a cheesecake, I asked for a spoonful of trifle but wasn't told it was a big kitchen spoon! So no tea needed and just had a small piece of melon for supper.

Slept through til 10am, have just had B of spicy fruity porridge, sk milk
No idea about L or D, still full from yesterday but no doubt will need (want?) something when the time comes.

Shopped on my way to DD's yesterday, bought fruit, veg, 2 YS trout fillets, some F&F and a WW Danish. Not a lot that's particularly sinful in the ff/larder, will try to keep it that way.

Hope the snow didn't hit where you are, have a sunny day :)
  • Help! I have been absolutely rubbish for weeks. Finally braved the Scales which show a 2lb increase. This was after breakfast - crunchy nut cornflakes! Still in treat mode! - but can not continue.

I'm going on holiday in less than 2 weeks and feel so big. I've completely lost my motivation. Partly because I have so little time to make any difference , which I know is daft, and partly I have been so stressed at work that I've felt I needed treats ( and drink!).

So please can someone give me a kick up the proverbial:eek:. I've logged into myfitness pal for the first time in a month,, will record my food each day here, and have asked my OH to drag me up a snowy hill later today.

Hope everyone else is doing better than me x
  • ugh, the bad weather down in the south here is making me comfort eat.
also stressed because its gone 1.30pm and still no results of interviews have come back yet. I also found out on Saturday evening that there were eight of us who went after for 1 position!

anyway trying not to snack too much, and having some help as cupboards are quite run down with regards to supplies (did an inventory this afternoon) so will deffo be shopping tomorrow.

b - 3 rashers bacon in sandwich (brown bread), tea
s - 3 x caramelised biscuits, 1 of which was shared with my Oreo bun when we were having a cuddle
l - pepperoni pizza, small bottle fruit shoot
    s - kitkat
d- portion chicken and bacon pasta bake

off to work at 4pm, got to get there early to prep for a mental opening night + press night too (complete with opening the late bar afterwards)!

    Hi All

You know life is sometimes difficult but we struggle on... :A

I would have done anything to get the stepladder out of the basement, cart it up to my bedroom and dig into my white toblerone... but I didn't ...:p

So, this morning, I shoveled the snow away and went inside.. I had a munchie attack but I fought it off.. so I decided to hoover the house from top to bottom, clean out the fire and do the stairs.. (I usually miss them out as it takes a long time) ... Once I had finished all that, the munchie attack came back... so I then decided to read Saturday's paper from end to end.. (I'll read Sunday's tomorrow) . I've now done that so I am now on the computer reading the posts..

Hi Sparrer: I thought when I read your post that you were talking about the chocolate 'Yorkie' but, as that didn't make sense, I realised you were talking about yorkshire puddings :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Also with regards to the homemade bread, don't put the breadmaker to the back as I find that one slice of homemade bread is enough for me, whereas I could easily eat a whole bought loaf as the bought bread isn't so filling !!!

    Hi Theatregirl

I also like going to wetherspoons  as it gets me away from the drudgery and I like the fact that they take the trouble to have the calorific count beside most of their food, which makes it a bit easier to decide what to eat..

    Hi Ellie

I really liked your Mother's Day post.... I thought it was just me that believed 'if you want something done etc etc... :rotfl::rotfl: I let my son off the hook by telling him that I didn't believe in Mother's Day... but it would have been nice to have gotten the flowers, chocolates, gifts etc.... but that was never going to happen... I'm lucky if I get a Christmas present.. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi Welshwoofer

Yes, It is time to get a grip.... It's amazing how easy it is to let things start to slide again... I think it is because we are getting further away from the gluttony of Christmas & New Year and looking for ways to give ourselves little treats :) I was going to make my toffee and pear muffins today until I told myself not to as I would end up eating the 12 myself (No, not in one day! ) Maybe over 2 :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi Dragon and the others

Nothing specific to say except 'hello'

Anyway, let's all start shifting the lard again...

Right, time to report todays progress.

    B crunchy nut cornflakes
L hm lentil soup and ciabatta
D rice and veggie bean chilli
S 2 mini brownies, spoonful of hm tsatsiki with carrot (not together! )
E walking up and down the hill to keep warm while kids sledging.

Not too bad but had extra rice and that second brownie wasn't strictly necessary, but much better than recently.

OG I daren't bring it out when I can reach it, I have no control when it comes to hm bread but a small shop bought Danish will last a couple of weeks.

    Lunch - missed
Dinner - 2 rashers lean back bacon, big tomato, mushrooms. dry fried egg, slice WW danish toast.
S - satsuma, melon, apple, grapes
E - so tired after yesterday but made myself get up every half hour or so to prep some veg. Filled up the slow cooker and made a giant pot of veg casserole, some of which can also be soup if I blend it down with some of the veg stock I have in the freezer. There's enough to feed an army!
Puree'd the veg trimmings to add to the next lot of dog biscuits. Don't waste anything if I can help it ;)
    Sweet dreams :)
