    Hi all,

I fell off the wagon last week, so didn't post last weekend, but have managed to climb back on today, but only just! Had a bad couple of weeks and not surprisingly have to report a gain of 2lb's :mad:. Sorry to bring the total weight loss down.

Just glad it wasn't more, but a miracle must have happened when I wasn't looking, as I was assuming it was going to be 4 or 5 pounds gain, as I seem to have just eaten bad stuff such as chocolate all week. Bought a bag of mini cream/ caramel/choc eggs and nearly ate the bag in one go. They were so good that I stupidly bought a second bag a day later and surprise, surprise, they seem to have vanished aswell. Everywhere you go there is chocolate temptation!

I've not been in the weight loss mood over the past couple of weeks as have been distracted by family stuff, but have decided that it's time to get back to it. Just caught up on all your posts over past couple of weeks and will be back regularly to keep up.

Well done to those who have lost this week, and good luck to all for next week. Thanks Dragon for keeping track of us all.

Don't be too disheartened Jovi, family stuff should be your priority. Tomorrow is the start of a new week so just climb back on the wagon and start afresh. Also if any chocolate eggs mysteriously climb into your shopping again, send them over here... I'll look after them for you! ;)

    Hi all

Quick post, another late night for me - had a awful day at work, we have the ballet on at the moment and so we had some right toffee nosed people in. Really hard work as well...over 1000 people in for the matinee. Anyway I came home and had wine wine and a bit more wine. Much needed.

Food otherwise has been fairly awful but then I had kfc at lunch. Although I've given up giving up chocolate for Lent...its just too hard. :( Doesnt mean I'm going to pig out on it now but I cant deprive myself of it fully any longer. Sigh.

    b-cheese on toast
    s- choc truffle bar
l- none, was working through lunchtime
d- kfc fillet meal (had fillet burger, 1 piece chicken, fries, gravy, diet pepsi)
t- microwaved chicken wrap, pack of crisps, 2 mini chocolate eggs.
s- 3 small glasses of wine.

Total calories about 2600ish....oh well tomorrows another day x

Theatregirl, I totally agree with you that giving up chocolate is too hard. I tried but couldn't manage it. I've worked out that Wednesday is my hardest day so if I really need a pick me up I'm allowed some chocolate then. But only then! It worked quite well last week, so fingers crossed for this. Although, Tuesday is parent's evening so maybe I should switch it to then.

    B - F&F, sk milk
    L - cheese & tomato wrap
D - leek & potato soup, omelette with chestnut mushrooms and shredded leaves from cauli. Sounds strange but is very tasty, and filing
    S - melon, apple, banana
E - usual, and started to clear out little bedroom as I can barely get in there any more.

Doesn't sound strange to me Sparrer, it sounds delicious. :) I miss eggs so much. It's really hard to find anything other than battery hens here so I won't buy them unless I have to bake for school/friends. Can't wait to move back to the UK so I can eat eggs and meat again, without the guilt. :D

Well to be fair I've given up something....I've just given up!! :rotfl:

Had to pop out this morning just to get some cash out, was nice to have a short drive and then a short walk around the local area. Bit gusty though so wasnt out long.

Going to have a restful day today, have earned it. Need to work on presentation again later as it's interview day on Tuesday

    b- 1 crumpet with butter, 3 x caramelised biscuits
l - h/m pepperoni pizza with chopped green pepper.
s- chocolate egg (last one so it cant tempt me!)
d- small mexican fajita set for 1 out of freezer, comes with mini wraps, chicken, sauces and some other stuff but not sure as I havent checked packet contents lol.
s- strawberries (and maybe a glass of wine again)

e- cleaned out bunnies quickly, bit of walking :)

    Will tot up cals later.

Go us! Thank you for this Ellie, I hope things are looking a little brighter today for you. Don't worry about the biscuits, 3 is nothing! You deserve to be proud too :T

It turned out to be a bit more than 3 biscuits...my son's left over chips, a vodka and coke... :o
Oh well, todays another day, though I'm always most tempted to treat myself at the weekends, roll on Monday!
We CAN do it...I'm NOT allowing an EX to interfere in my weight loss!

theatregirl and jovi20, when I walk down the chocolate aisle, I look away, and talk to myself, saying "no, no, no , I don't eat this any more" . I'm old enough and ugly enough to not care what other people think of me :rotfl:

emmaneni it was delish :D. I was going to save the leaves to have with a dinner but hadn't got anything planned at the time so wanted to use them up. Sad about the eggs and meat, I'd be exactly the same.

Re giving up chocolate for Lent, as a female I'm a bit weird as I can take it or leave it so it would be no hardship for me. I thought of cheese but would get withdrawal symptoms within 2 days! So like theatregirl I've just given up thinking about it ;)

Good for you ellie, you gotta have a little fun in life :D

Haven't said thank you to The Dragon lately, oops :o. Thank you Dragon for all you do, and keeping us in order :)

    B - F&F, sk milk
    D - chicken & tomato casserole
T - apples and plums from the freezer with a scoop of C d'O reduced fat vanilla ice cream
S - Penguin, nana, satsuma, apple. No melon today, the new ones are rock hard and don't feel like they're going to ripen for a week :(

Enjoy the rest of the day :)

Been for an hour long walk with the dog and then a run so my little legs are a bit stiff now as I been sitting all afternoon marrking school stuff.
Making pasta bake for tea with enough to last for tomorrow's tea too to try to keep me out of the biscuits while I'm waiting for food to cook - surely I can wait a few mins for the microwave to ping?:p:o
  • Just popping on before bed - my body clock seems to be back to keeping time rather nicely, what with all these late night finishes lol.

Didnt have the glass of wine in the end with my ready to go fajita dinner, which by the way was really really good although I threw out the sour cream that came with it and didnt eat the tomato sauce stuff, probably saved a few calories there tbh.
Did however have the very very last of the chocolate sauce in the bottle which has been in the cupboard about 2 years lol - so no more temptation there - and added a little piece of ginger cake.

Coming in around 1600 calories for my day so pleased with that. :D

    Morning All,

I hope everyone had a good weekend..

I actually went quite far for a change.. We decided to use the park and ride to the airport as we are going to Italy in May and I wasn't sure if my bag would get passed the easyjet sizes... and we also had to check to see if it was feasible to do the park and ride..

So off we went... Caught the bus at the park and ride and reached the airport.. We went outside and there was a bus sitting there to go into Edinburgh so we thought... 'Why not?' as it was just a short journey... So off we went and got dropped off in Princes Street.. We walked to George Street and looked for our fav watering hole.. So I was very good... I had chicken for lunch and then we found out that the bus to go back to the park and ride stopped right outside the pub !!!!

It was quite amazing how stress free it was travelling on the bus plus I am of a certain age where I have a free bus pass (but I have never had the opportunity to use it due to my illness) so it saved us trying to get the car parked and all the hassle of driving into the city... :j:j:j:j

As for today, I am still trying to use up my 10 yrs supply of food so tonight I am cooking him scampi... I bought umpteen bags of it when it was buy 1 get 2 free ... so he'll enjoy that... I haven't decided what I'll have ... :A

I might make macaroni cheese... I go easy on the calories by using 1/2 milk and water and then using cornflour to thicken it and use a really strong cheese so I use less of it...

    Hi Sparrer,

I have often used cauliflower leaves in cooking ... we used to leave the smaller leaves on it when we were cooking it... I also use chopped cauliflower/cabbage leaves in minestrone soup and in some of my other veggie soups...

I used to have a large vegetable garden so I tended to use all parts of the plants where possible.... eg using the beetroot tops as spinach and we used to also cut a cross in the remaining stalk of the cabbage and you would get young leaves growing up from it... so between me and the chickens everything gets used... :A

    Dragon

Thanks for all your efforts ...

To everyone else... Have a happy day.... :):):):):)
