daisiegg - if you're down at the thought of the photos, why not keep up with the healthy eating after the wedding, and take some lovely new photos on your first anniversary? (not necessarily with "the dress" but wearing something nice, maybe even to go to a photographer). Celebrate your anniversary and your even slimmer self!
Also, if you think your dress is about a size 14, that's not "fat bride" territory...I'm sure you'll look lovely :)

And 6th April...the start of the new tax year...your husband-to-be isn't an accountant, is he? :rotfl:

If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?

Sorry for the late weigh in Dragon, but I have been stalling desperately, but have to report a 2lb gain.
I am so mad, it is all my own fault but I can't seem to get back on track.
Its dd's birthday next week so more cake to be made and eaten, I am in despair.

    Hi Dragon

I STS this week... but I am glad I didn't put any on re my beloved's birthday and the church coffee morning (There's 4 a year) where I found Sparrer's missing scone... I ate it so that I could see if they were as good as she says... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Daisiegg

Hi Daisy, I've known my beloved since I was 15 and he has loved me whatever size I was... I think I was slim for a nanno second at some time in my almost 40 years of marriage... but he really doesn't care.. so you will be lovely on your day and I hope you will have as happy a marriage as I have...

Have a nice weekend everyone... :):):)
  • A very late good evening to all :)

    Good Morning all.

I had a fantastic evening last night at the theatre. We saw Black Comedy and and I laughed until I was crying.

Managed to behave myself (sort of) last night too. I went to the supermarket and bought myself some delicious snacky bits for a picnic tea. I had 8 big olives, 3 little peppers stuffed with peppers and a finger sized chunk of smelly cheese. Had it sitting in a beautiful square in the centre of the city. Most jolly. I also had a large glass or red wine with the other teachers in the interval.

This morning I woke up early and decided to try my hand at yoga. It's something I've been thinking about doing for a while so as I woke up early I put my plan into action. I found a 50 minute video on you tube. I have to say I really enjoyed it. It was hard but nice. I wonder if I can keep it up but will have to find a shorter video for weekday mornings.

I also listened to my Radio 4 food programme podcast this morning and it really resonated with me. It was called The death of three square meals. I have really improved since I started writing what I eat on here but in the past I would often by a snack and eat walking home from the shop or in breaks at school. The show made me realise how often we don't count these snacks as 'real food' and they are often very high in sugar/fat. I know I am often tempted by the delicious chocolate and jam biscuits they sell at school. I also noticed that as I live alone, I get my food and then eat it in front of the computer at my desk. I think from now on, I will eat, sitting at my kitchen table without the laptop. Hopefully these will make me more aware of what I am eating and give me the concentration to notice when I'm full. I would recommend this episode to everyone, it was very insightful.

I would also like to recommend a STS this week. My scales do look like they are now pointing between the 10 and 12 pound mark but as I can't be sure I don't want to say it.

I hope you have a great Saturday everyone. I'm going to try and keep busy all day and avoid spending it lounging on the sofa as I usually do.

Will come back later with my food diary.

    Hello all!
I'm still jogging behind the diet wagon!
Weighed this morning and have stayed the same (again!).
This in itself is a good thing - I haven't exactly made an effort this week.:o
But its now Spring (St Davids Day marks the first day for spring for me!) and I'm going to take myself in hand. The sun is out, I'm off on an organised walk today and am getting started on the running again after a very hit and miss month.

I'm off to the supermarket in a minute and will stick up on "good" goodies so will have no excuse.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Well I'm over the moon this morning! :j

Not sure if its the past 4 days of calorie counting/watching what I'm eating mahooey or if its the result of the end of "that-time-of-the-month", but I have lost 2lbs!

I even went into Thorntons for the purposes of Mothers Day last night (I had a £3 off £10 spend card lol) and I resisted buying anything for myself - stuck to what and who I went in there to purchase for. However I have to go back in there today because two of the bars I purchased are coffee flavoured and they have white chocolate - and Mum HATES white chocolate. So I will just try to exchange them! :o

cheese on toast for breakfast with l/f yoghurt this morning. no idea what I'll be eating for the rest of the day yet as I'm unusually only working the matinee shift, not the evening (normally I do both on a saturday!) so it depends whether I come straight home from work after or if I hang around to get food with anyone whos on the same shift as me :)
