Have to report STS this week. I am quite upset especially as I have increased the exercise (from none to some!) and I have been very good this week with the only exception being two small (1 inch) pieces of fruit cake.
I have my final (as in, the last time they can adjust the size) dress fitting on Tuesday, so that's it. I can't lose any more weight after that. So despite trying really hard I am going to be a fat bride, which I so didn't want. I am gutted and could cry.
daisiegg I am sure you will look wonderful and you HAVE lost 12.5 pounds since the start of the year so :j:j:jDo not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Sneaking back with a disappointing STS today
Actually, that's a "being away on a work course, staying in a hotel with proper breakfasts, eating out in the evening, 18th birthday Indian restaurant feast and being taken out for Sunday lunch" putting on 2 1/2lbs and now back to STS!
So, really, it could have been so much worse but now I need to just buckle down and do it! I am going away at Easter too so it a clear and present goal!0 -

Wow sezzagirl, well done for staying the same, it could have been SO much worse! One lovely week like that can really throw a spanner in the works.:)
Only 4 weeks until easter, so trying really hard until then...then I'll need a big willpower boost to ignore all the easter eggs if I'm going to stick to my no chocolate pledge...
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0 -
I'm going straight to a bad place - cheated on my Lent promise of no chocolate and bought some Caramel Bunnies today....they tasted so good.....oh well.
meal forecast for me then:
b - cheese on toast
s - caramel bunnies
l - leftover ham and cheese tortellini with a slice of bread, l/f yoghurt
d - microwavable sub roll (about 11pm after work)
s- strawberries (to make up for my earlier lapse)
e - went to post office/local shops to do a few things/pick up fruit, work again today so buses, trains and a little walking.0 -
Ellie, thank you so much! That is exactly what I needed to hear! :-)0

More (((hugs))) for daisiegg.
Everyone's already said what I would say to you...we all know how hard dieting is, and you've tried your best.
You OH and your family and friends who'll be at your wedding all love you exactly as you are, nobody will be thinking about your weight. Relax and enjoy your day!
When are you getting married, how long to go?
Aww, thank you. 6th April - not at all long to go! :eek:The_Dragon wrote: »daisiegg I am sure you will look wonderful and you HAVE lost 12.5 pounds since the start of the year so :j:j:j
Thanks Dragon. I have lost 12.5 lbs since the start of the challenge but we didn't start the challenge until a week into January and I lost a few lbs before that so I have actually lost 15 lbs. I know that is quite good...but I have a lot more than that to lose.Deleted_User wrote: »*hands daisiegg some lovely yummy caramelized biscuits to cheer her up*

Aww thank you. Everyone is so kind! I really, really don't think I look any different - but maybe photos will tell the real story. Or maybe I just don't look any different!0 -
(((Hugs)))daisiegg, don't get so despondent. You've done amazingly well and the dress fitter is telling you not to lose any more weight, what does that say? You don't want to be a see-through stick insect, that's horrible, you want to be the person your OH loves. He's hardly going to say 'ewww, look at that fat bride coming toward me' because that's not who he sees. Have to say that I look in the mirror and see a fat person, but my clothes, and friends, tell me different. You will look stunning!
)
Aww, thank you. Everyone is so kind! My dress fitter is NOT telling me not to lose more weight because I am thin enough...:rotfl: no way! Just because there comes a point where they need to stop adjusting and after that you have to stay the same sizeMy dress was a US size 18 which I believe is a UK 16, and it has been taken in by 4 inches so maybe it is more like a 14 now, maybe, if I am trying to make myself feel good...
Dont be sad Daisy - your weight does not define you. You are worth so much more than a number on the scales x
Thank yousensible me does know that - but crazy me so wanted to be a slim beautiful bride
I'm sure I will still look nice, of course I will, but I am fat. There are no two ways about it, it is a fact, and my own fault, of course. And those pictures will last forever
Please don't be so sad. This is a long hard process and we cannot expect miracles. You will not be a fat bride, you will be a stunning princess. Your man loves you for you so he won't care what size you are. Remember that and you'll feel beautiful no matter how many kilos you didn't lose.
Awwww thank you. It is so lovely to come on here and see all your kind and encouraging words! Thanks everyone0 -
Finally, I can post a loss! I've lost 3lbs this week :j :j can't believe it really, I was getting really fed up. Hopefully this is the start of the downwards slope again
daisy - I bet you look beautiful in your dress, all brides doon the day, it'll go so fast and seriously, you'll feel like a princess. Keep that chin up x
Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
