Hi folks
Not surprisingly, I’ve STS this week.
I don’t go out for meals very often so when I do I don’t tend to deprive myself – this week it was a meet-up with some former workmates at an “Italian”, so I indulged in a luscious creamy seafood pasta dish, garlic bread and a glass of wine
As if that wasn’t bad enough I too caught some of Sparrer’s “Sconeitus”– last evening it was one of those times when I craved something sweet, the fruit bowl didn’t appeal and it’s like Mother Hubbards here so ended up making a batch of scones (little ones) – then had one warm with butter
, one with strawberry jam
and my fav one with syrup :T – best go and put the rest in the freezer for now, out of sight.....etc.
It’s a bit cloudy here today but perfect for washing the windows – the window cleaner hasn’t been around for months so instead of trying to find another one I will do them myself :money: – great workout for the upper arms so armed with my sponge, vinegar and newspaper off I go.
Hope you all have a good day.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Hi everyone! I have lost 1lb this week! Did try to do the 5:2 diet but felt so dizzy and strange during the day that I just had to eat a proper meal when I came home from work. So have gone back to MFP and just counting calories and doing a bit of exercise. I even managed to sneak a chinese and some wine in there and still come in under my calorie goal!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170

Hello everyone,
Well done on all the progress. Just popping in to record 1lb loss so I can finally lose one of my sad faces from the list :rotfl:
Will try to keep going in the right direction for the rest of the challenge

Congratulations to everyone who has reported a loss. :T Anyone who stayed the same, be proud, it's better than going up. :j
I'm incredibly proud of myself today. I got a bit of a shock this afternoon when I found out my ex has got a new girlfriend. Wow, looks worse written down here. Lalalalalalalala.
Anyway back to being proud! Instead of curling up on the sofa and eating vast amounts of ice cream, chocolate and cake ( what I normally do) , I had a little cry, got my swimming things and went swimming for 55 minutes. I wanted to do an hour but I was too late.
I said this morning I wanted to have an active Saturday and I have definitely done this. Yoga, long walk to the shop in the sunshine, swimming and general faffing around the flat means I haven't sat down apart from my blip. I did however sit at the kitchen table, with no laptop to eat my meals. It felt really good. I want to keep all these things up.
16 weeks and 6 days, today and I'm moving back to the UK. I hope as well as leaving him behind I will also be leaving lots of fat and taking lots of good new habits.
I hope everyone has a super Sunday tomorrow.
B. 1 apple and a tbsp currants cooked with a spicy teabag and served with a spoon of natural yoghurt
L, Smoked tuna (delicious) with spinach and courgette sauteed with spring onions, garlic and lemon and aubergine slices with balsamic vinegar and sesame seeds. Banana
D, Lettuce soup which is delicious! I got it from here but can't remember who to thank, so Thank you! Half a sugar free strawberry jelly with half a sugar free yoghurt.0 -
emmaneni - well done! That was really putting yourself first when you went swimming, and not letting the news about your ex spoil your whole day.
I wish I'd been as strong today...I let thinking about problems with my ex get to me a bit, and after doing so well all week, resorted to eating some biscuits (well, 3). I just wanted to have a good old mope, but because family were in and out all day, I didn't get the chanceThink I'll go to bed early, tomorrow's another day.
You SHOULD be proud of yourself, let's not let exes interfere with our weight loss
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0 -
Had a fairly good day - not perfect but not awful.
Went for a good long walk for a few hours too so plenty of fresh air and exercise. Hope the weather is as good tomorrow - its always more motivating to do something when the sun is out.
Strangely, I fancied tinned peaches today and had some - yummy! Never liked them before.Weird! And, no, I'm not pregnant:rotfl:0 -
Hi all
Quick post, another late night for me - had a awful day at work, we have the ballet on at the moment and so we had some right toffee nosed people in. Really hard work as well...over 1000 people in for the matinee. Anyway I came home and had wine wine and a bit more wine. Much needed.
Food otherwise has been fairly awful but then I had kfc at lunch. Although I've given up giving up chocolate for Lent...its just too hard.Doesnt mean I'm going to pig out on it now but I cant deprive myself of it fully any longer. Sigh.
b-cheese on toast
s- choc truffle bar
l- none, was working through lunchtime
d- kfc fillet meal (had fillet burger, 1 piece chicken, fries, gravy, diet pepsi)
t- microwaved chicken wrap, pack of crisps, 2 mini chocolate eggs.
s- 3 small glasses of wine.
Total calories about 2600ish....oh well tomorrows another day x0 -
Hi all,
I fell off the wagon last week, so didn't post last weekend, but have managed to climb back on today, but only just! Had a bad couple of weeks and not surprisingly have to report a gain of 2lb's :mad:. Sorry to bring the total weight loss down.
Just glad it wasn't more, but a miracle must have happened when I wasn't looking, as I was assuming it was going to be 4 or 5 pounds gain, as I seem to have just eaten bad stuff such as chocolate all week. Bought a bag of mini cream/ caramel/choc eggs and nearly ate the bag in one go. They were so good that I stupidly bought a second bag a day later and surprise, surprise, they seem to have vanished aswell. Everywhere you go there is chocolate temptation!
I've not been in the weight loss mood over the past couple of weeks as have been distracted by family stuff, but have decided that it's time to get back to it. Just caught up on all your posts over past couple of weeks and will be back regularly to keep up.
Well done to those who have lost this week, and good luck to all for next week. Thanks Dragon for keeping track of us all.:T 2015 TARGETS :TWeight loss 12.5/112lb 18th feb -4.5lb, 25th feb -2.5lb, 4th mar -2.5, 11th Mar -3,

Go us! Thank you for this Ellie, I hope things are looking a little brighter today for you. Don't worry about the biscuits, 3 is nothing! You deserve to be proud too. :T
Am aiming for another busy and active day today.
Woke up and did yoga. I am THE least flexible person in the world. I'm glad I'm doing this at home and there's no one to see me.
b. was a no sugar, 66 cal muesli bar on the way home from the supermarket.
I know I promised myself no walking around snacking but after yoga this morning I felt so raring to go out for a walk in the sunshine I forgot to have breakfast. It was only when I got to the supermarket that I realised I was quite hungry. I thought the muesli bar was a sensible choice to get me through till lunch.
l. Homemade bean burgers. Tin of kidney beans, squeezed low fat cottage cheese, left over frozen spinach, half a left over courgette, red onion, a few mushrooms, a couple of tbsps of red lentils and lots of paprika and cayenne pepper. Mixed it all together, shaped like burgers and rolled in sesame seeds (makes them go all crispy) and shoved them in the oven while I made the salsa. Cherry tomatoes, cucumber, pepper, red onion, sweetcorn, basil, coriander and lemon juice. Served with a dollop of natural yoghurt. With a banana for pud. At at kitchen table again too.It was such a good lunch and can't believe how far 1 tin of beans spread. I made 9 burgers!
D. Lettuce soup, and left over jelly and joghurt from yeserday.
E. Yoga and I WILL go swimming this afternoon for an hour.0
