Dragon - Could you please remove my goal of 20 pounds please? I'm still working on losing, but seeing that number up and knowing I won't be able to reach it by the deadline is depressing me. Thanks!

  • Hey folks, I've not been around much this week as busy, busy, busy, and have lost my focus a bit. A choccy biscuit here, extra garlic bread there... So I think I'm very lucky to be able to report a 2lb loss this week:j

Away this weekend with a friend so will be going out for a few nice meals and drinking, but will try to be good and the journeys there and back - I;m terrible on long train journeys, just can't resist munching. Have my lovely tablet this time so that should distract me.

Congratulations on your wee bundle Boodle.

Good luck to everyone weighing in this week.

Thanks for the lovely comments everyone :) I think I will bow out after barging in so brazenly there ;) I don't see myself setting any challenges, just taking things in my stride. Competition doesn't really motivate me (or interest me, which is why I can't be bothered with sports lol) as it doesn't seem practical for me to set smaller goals that I might/might not hit like 1lb a week etc. I appreciate everyone is different and lot of people find that mindset motivating rather than depressing

Good luck with your goals everyone x

  • 1/2 loss for me this week.

Not fantastic but better than the last couple of weeks so I'll work on that!
  • Boodle, im the same. i know how much i need to loose overall, but setting a definate time frame to loose x amount of weight stresses me. im using this thread as inspiration to keep plugging away at it.

for instance, ive weighed myself today and it doesnt look like ive lost anything, BUT my clothes are definately looser!

reading how well everyone else is doing can be a wee bitty disheartening
but then people are also putting down how they STS or have put weight on or how they are having problems with curbing cravings, etc like you say everyone is different. what i am trying to do is think about how i eat (and what i eat) rather than count calories, or do one of those silly fad diets, which is why i rather like popping in to this thread as the premise is losing weight whilst eating properly, and preferably from scratch.

everything i eat is my "diet" but rather than restrict myself i want to learn to control my portions, and eat more fruit and veg and reduce my sugar intake. which is hard work. years of disliking certain fruit/veg to combat. but im good at hiding the veg in the meals i make from scratch so thats at start. :T oh and drink more water less fizz (normally diet stuff unless on a nightshift so not all bad ;))

    im rambling now!! :rotfl:

Managed a 1 minute shower and then forced some breakfast down, but had to cancel my blood donation appointment. Really annoyed as that would have helped the weight loss :rotfl:

Hi Coxy, Welcome... and thanks for the tip... I'm off down to the chemists to see if I can buy some leeches... I never thought of draining off a little blood before I stand on the scales... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I hope you have a good day...

I have to be out at silly o'clock tomorrow so weighed today, and can at last say I've lost a whole 1lb this week, not just the usual half of one :j

    Sweet dreams :)

Well done!!!! :j I am really pleased for you... we are matching this week with the weight loss... I just lost the same...

I also wanted to say that I got the star drops but there were 2 kinds so I bought both... The white one and the brown coloured one.. Which one do you use ????

    Cheers
  • Hi All

I lost 1 lb this week.. I could blame it on the weekend I had with my friends but it wasn't entirely that... It ended up being Saturday and Sunday... so I am entirely to blame... But as always, keep positive and here's hoping that I'll lose my first stone by next week....

    Regards to you all
