I've been so fed up today as I have a 1lb gain to report but reading all your posts, it must be the week for it as I see several of us have struggled

Well done to all who have lost, we'll be joining you next week!
  • STS for me today. Fine with that as I was out last night and drank several glasses of wine and LOTS of nibbles. I was expecting to have temporarily put on, so STS is fine.

    B Weetabix
L HM veg soup with too much baguette
D Veggie Haggis (so calorific!), neeps and tatties

E Walking to pick up my car after excessive boozing last night, maybe a twirl at the ceilidh tonight.

    Well done to everyone else.

It's a really inexpensive cleaning liquid your granny might know of, been about for ever and then some. A tiny bit of Stardrops can clean anything from floor to ceiling. Usually found on the bottom shelf where the cleaning products are in supermarkets but also places like Wilko etc. There's a whole forum about it somewhere, will have a look and see if I can find it :)

Sorry don't know how to do links but this should take you there-

Thanks very much for that, Sparrer, I'll have a look out for it when I am out on Saturday morning...:T Might start spring cleaning earlier as I noticed my plug sockets in the kitchen are looking decidedly iffy and the front of my big fridge .......

One of the cleaners I swear by is 'Astonish' .. if you haven't used it, it looks like clay inside the pot and you just put a little on a damp cloth and it takes of anything, scuff stains on floors etc..... So maybe between the two, that's me covered....:)
  • Well, fellow companions,

I must be doing something right :) That's me dropped another 2 kilos, which is 4.4 lbs ...

I won't get complacent, as I have a long, long way to go... but as there are 6.35 kilos in a stone, I have only 1.3 kilos to go to lose my first stone... :j and then my next goal will be another stone... :A

I am hoping that if I lose enough weight, I might be able to come off insulin and some of my other meds... I think I already feel the benefit in that I am a bit quicker getting up off a seat and I can climb the stairs a wee bit easier so onwards and [STRIKE]upwards [/STRIKE], sorry, downwards we go ...

Today, I am having lettuce soup, slow cooker roast beef, with salad potatoes and mixed veggies and for dessert, I am having Eton Mess.... I will also have a little wine...

The reason I am eating this is because we were due to have good friends in for Christmas but everything had to be cancelled as my father-in-law was taken into hospital and we spent most of the festivities visiting him.... so our friends are coming tonight... :j

Tomorrow is another day and back to not eating carp..... :A
  • Hello everyone. Just checking in to report a 1/2 lb loss this week. Not as much as I would have liked but at least it's in the right direction. Must try harder next week.

Congratulations to everyone who's lost or STS this week and commiserations to the gainers.
  • Thank you for the welcomes .

I only started on Monday so I will WI next week ;).

Well done officeguru ! 4.4 lbs is impressive, you deserve it for having lettuce soup, I really hope it's better than it sounds :rotfl:

I'm becoming obsessed with clearing the snow off my driveway...been out three times this afternoon to do mine and my mums, it's very addictive! My back's aching now though, so will call it quits for the night.

If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?

I'll be weighing tomorrow - forgot again today, sorry!

Not expecting much in the way of success though, especially as I'm sitting here with a turkish delight and a glass of wine after the week from hell:rotfl:
  • Thanks for the congratulations on the new job. We went out for a celebratory meal last night. Sparrer I won't be taking you our foe drinks this weekend as I now have to pay for a CRB check but have a virtual one on me

Anyway I need to report a gain of 2lb. Will try harder next week.
I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order :D.
  • -1lb for me this week please!
