    My dog had (another) epileptic fit today :( Really distressing and due to having to deal with the aftermath of this, I succumbed to the eccles cake that I brought home from the tearoom on Tuesday :o 400 calories that could've been better spent, but much needed :o

  • Haven't been by for a while, but I just found 'z0mbies run' is half price on the app store! I remember mentioning it ages ago, and a few people were interested. I'm sorely tempted myself, but don't have a smartphone, only a tablet, which might be too big to run with :s

    Hello ladies!
    Still hanging in there - just been soo busy this week I haven't had much time to log on and update.

    Weigh in tomorrow:eek::eek::eek:
  • I am feeling really nervous about the 1st weigh in tomorrow. I have eaten really well for 10 days, minimal carbs, no meat, no alcohol, lots of veg, salad and fish.
    But I feel really, really bloated, like I am going to pop. Hmmmm maybe eating cabbage EVERYDAY is not a good idea?!

    I am trying to rationalise that I have exercised 7/10 days and reduced my calorie intake from last year (significantly - i was drinking a bottle of wine a night) so I should see some results. But my belly is so swollen it doesn't feel like I have made progress :(

    I am weighing myself and taking measurements of waist, hips etc so fingers crossed it disappears overnight!

    So sorry to hear about your poor dog. I think with the adrenaline if dealing with that you probably burnt off the calories in advance!

    Am I the first? :D

    -3 please Dragon :) (it's actually -3.6 but I know we only deal in whole numbers!)

    I am pleased, but slightly frustrated that OH has lost 4lbs...he only has half a stone to lose so he is well on his way! Why do men lose weight so much more easily?! I always remember this happening when my mum and dad would go on diets together. Mind you, he had a head start as he has been going since the 2nd Jan and I only started properly on Monday this week. Never mind, it doesn't detract from my achievement :)

    ETA - oops, LavenderBees beat me to it while I was posting :)

    I am absolutely bloody gutted, I have been eating like a sparrow (1200 cal) no fat, chocolate or "bad" food has entered my body I have done 30 mins exercise everyday sometime 2 hours. Yet my weight lose is only 1lb. Being my first week I'd expect 3-4lb then a slow down from week 2 but no.
    I really have gone hell for leather. I sat at uni eating a chicken salad (with no dressing) whilst my fellow students were having a full english.
    I just don't know what do do.

    Oh no poor you :( do you really mean NO fat? Because we do need a bit of fat in our diets. Could it be that you have gone a bit too hard and your body has gone into 'starvation mode' and is clinging on to fat? (Not sure whether starvation mode is actual scientific fact or not but I am always reading about it). Or if you have been doing loads of exercise have you maybe built some muscle, which weighs more? Could be a bad TOTM for you.... Try not to worry :( at least the scales are moving down! :D
  • Well done to those who have already reported a loss.
