Not a good first half of the week, still too muck junk being eaten. So, I decided to make some drastic changes. I dusted of the exercise bike, no sugar in the tea or coffee for the first time ever (it actually tastes fine, you can taste the tea and coffee rather than the sugar!). And i've cut out all junk food/snacks. I managed to lose nearly 2 pounds yesterday, which brings me back to square one. Hopefully i'll be able to knock off a bit more before the official weigh in.

    Yesterdays food:
    B: Bran flakes with sultanas
D: Pasta shapes with some ragu
T: 2 Garlic sausage sandwiches with lettuce, cucumber, pepper and salad cream.
    S: Apple and orange

Exercise: 30 minutes on the exercise bike and an hours walk to town and back.

Today I'm having (simply because I'm using up what is in the house)

B : belvitas and a cup of tea
L : 1/2 carton ncg carrot and coriander soup and toast with s*art price soft cheese
D : a birds eye turkey dinner with added veg

Not particularly. OS bar the 'using up' part

It is day 1 for me and when I don't diet I'm ashamed to say I eat particularly badly and rarely cook at all, so I will get there!

Early start and managed porridge before I left this AM. Still not hungry and have been up and at it for 2 hours longer than normal.

If you want an incentive to cut carbs in bread products just search "source of L-cysteine in bread" - worked for me when I was told this yesterday and then went to verify this for myself. The donuts put in the kitchen to tempt me caused a BLERGH reaction not a yummy must have reaction. There are fermentation products now available for the same effect but not widely used. And another reason to make your own bread and so on as that flour does not (usually) contain the L-cysteine - OS MSE through and through.

Thanks for that. I feel sick now.

Guess that teaches me to not look up anything that someone says to look up.

  • Don't know why I did it but I just ruined all my good work this morning, eating healthily & dog walking by eating a slice of Christmas cake!! I will not eat now and just have soup for tea. Will also walk dog again later and just drink water...
Any ideas on what to do with the cake? I might freeze it.

Now just need to get off this pc and move

    Hi everyone,

    Food today:

B - micro porridge, tea, banana
    L -
D - 2 slices lean ham, mash, brussels, broccoli
    E - 2 mile dog walk/school run

Not sure what to have for lunch. Have just met a friend for coffee in town. No cake, just coffee ;) Have some rocket going limp in the fridge so might use that and some cucumber to fashion a salad of sorts.......

Hope everyone is having a good day.
