My thoughts are:
Difficult to judge as there seems a lot of food - are you a man or a woman Simmed?
Lots of sugar in the fruit and dried fruit and empty calories in the ice lolly.
Please what would you eat instead of chicken if vegetarian?
Exercise - there are some of us - like me - who are disabled so very limited. What would you suggest?I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

My stats were in a previous post - 5'11 M 26, so higher TDEE than most people on here (which is why I was able to burn a lot of fat relatively quickly in a safe manner)
Ice lollies are probably my one viceif a 40 calorie ice lolly stops me from eating 300 calories of crisps and chocolate, go for it I say
Probably cottage cheese, skimmed milk or some sort of high protein legume (kidney beans?)
Disabled is a very broad term.. but regardless, the same rules apply to all humans - if your TDEE is higher than your calorie intake, you burn fat0 -

Well, I got up super early and managed to get to the gym! But boy, was it hard work!! I guess that's what you get when you try and avoid hard work.
After a good start though, I've left work and come home after feeling incredibly ill!
So, I'm now sat on the sofa with a blanket and feeling very sorry for myself! Boooo0 -
What kind of things are y'all doing at the gym?0

Forgot to say that I'm down another 1.7 pounds since yesterday. I'm still not officially weighing in until Friday, but seeing the scale moving in the proper direction is very encouraging. It also helps greatly to have people on my friends list on MFP who are actively using it. It helps me stay on track and keep up with things. I'm competitive to a degree, and seeing others exercising and coming in under their calorie goals makes me want to stay on track even more!
This time of the month, I'm normally gaining weight! Silly female hormones...0 -
Interesting article about the benefits of exercise...
'Even light exercise' aidshealth
Even low levels of weekly exercise could help reduce blood pressure and improve fitness, scientists say.
Experts say walking for half an hour, five days a week, is the minimum required to achieve health benefits.
But a Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health report from Northern Ireland found walking on just three days a week gave similar benefits.
The finding could encourage those with sedentary lifestyles to take up exercise gradually, the authors say.
So important for elderly, less mobile and disabled people to do any sort of exercise. Afterall not everyone can pound the streets running and lift weights at the gym

Glad you posted this Louise. I used to be pretty active, but have just had almost 5 months of enforced inactivity due to a back injury. Yesterday and today I walked (slowly!) for 35 minutes...doesn't sound much, but I'm chuffed I managed it. It's still painful enough that I can't go any further. I'm shocked, though, how quickly fitness disappears, I feel so unfit!
I hope if I keep trying, I will slowly get back to normal...it's nice to know ever little bit helps.
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0 -

Molly I too have a disability (lung disease) which doesn't let me exercise as much and often as I would like. Did try a gym for 6 months last year but stopped as I was getting too out of breath. I now do step on my bottom stair, a lot of stretching exercises, if I'm watching television I get up regularly and walk up the stairs a couple of times, make sure I never take the shortest route anywhere (ie walk the long way round the kitchen table to get to cupboards, fridge etc), consciously do tummy/buttock clench exercises when I'm standing - in short any movement which can be exaggerated, I do. It's been a long term process, taken me over two years to lose three stone and drop 3 dress sizes but I can certainly do a little more than I used to, and feel 100% better for it. Where there's a will, there's a way
Today's meals -
B - spicy fruity porridge
L - WW Danish sandwich, spread with ff yogurt in place of butter etc, rf cheese, scrape pickle
D - chicken & veg rogan, couscous
S - apple, satsuma, melon, grapes
E - as above0 -
Simmed,
I am of the opinion as are others that any kind of exercise is better than none, and if its enjoyable even better. I've managed to lose 2 stone in a relatively short amount of time and lots of inches so I must be doing something right. I wasn't promoting this or any kind of exercise for anyone else, just saying it has helped me stay on track whilst on holiday.Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
