Hi all, hope everyone is doing well!

I'm having a bit of a messed up day today. Had to go out and run a few errands and ended up being out way longer than I anticipated so I missed lunch. I was good though, I was at my grandparents and they were offering me biscuits or crisps or toast and I resisted! But it does mean I am absolutely starving now and it's too close to dinner to really eat much properly.

B - banana and soya yogurt, tea (199)
    S - herbal tea (0)
L - grabbed 2 falafel when I got home and a cup of tea at my grandparents (166)
D - (will be) grilled lamb/chicken with balsamic roasted veg, recipe from a diet book, looks yummy! (531)

That leaves me having had only 896 cals for the day which doesn't seem like very much...

How is everyone else getting on with exercising?

I am finding I have no energy for it but I think that is because I have cut my calories quite drastically down to 1200 a day and in reality over Christmas I was probably eating thousands and thousands each day! So I am giving myself a free pass this week while my body gets over the shock and will do some at the weekend. Did do some on Sunday.

Just popping in to say hello!
Still sticking to it and doing ok, a sneaky weigh looked positive yesterday but will until Friday to see whether its real or not.
Back in work now and taking packed lunches with me - lots of fruit, I'm not bothered if its full of sugar, better than a mars bar!

Right need to get some tea on before the biscuit barrel calls.....

  • I've been reading up on the posts for the last few days, and everyone is doing really well... unlike me! :)

B Bowl of Bran Flakes with sultanas,
    S one orange
    L Peanut Butter Sandwich
    D Bowl of veg soup

I'm naughty too though, as everyone in the office is bringing in sweets that are left over from Christmas so I've been tucking into a tin of Roses today. Also, I've drank one cup of water all day - not good! :(

I did bring my gym kit with me today, but it looks like i'll be going home instead of to the gym (where I should be going) and doing the food shop instead.

Tomorrows plan? Get up earl - down a pint of water and hit the gym before work! Hmmm... wish me luck x

MrsVP pain sounds bad, perhaps you need to call them? In case shouldn't be like that?
MrsCD how about flapjack? HM you can control the sugar and replace fats with your choice. Bananas and custard if you can cope with that much fruit? HM tea loaf? Again you can control swap ingredients if you want to suit. HM ice cream?
Thanks for the suggestions missrlr. I was thinking along the lines of fruit loaf/ low fat, low sugar muffins that I could freeze. Also I'm sure there is a way to make custard with less sugar if you use skimmed milk powder with the custard powder. I'll let you know how it turns out :)
MrsVP hope you get some pain relief soon. You have my sympathy.
Today has been horrendous. I was up and down all night with the pain in my neck, arm and shoulder, and didn't want to take more meds until morning in case I overdosed! Eventually rang the Dr and he's now given me antidepressants which now apparently are prescribed for nerve pain :( Here's hoping they let me get some sleep tonight.
On the diet front, I've been pretty good today.
B - muesli with soya milk and a spoonful of plain yog
L - leftover HM veg & lentil broth, tea
D - 1 tbsp savoury rice, 3 veg fingers, 2 tbsp peas & sweetcorn. 1 Mars ice cream bar, tea
snacks - 1 ginger bisc, 1 choc ginger from the pack I've put out of the way to keep DH away from them!
Trying to drink plenty water as well. :)

I'm satrting today and taking inspiration from the 'No S diet - no sweets, no snacks, no seconds except (sometimes) on a day beginning with S'

Basically its not a diet but some simple guidlines to eat less, eat better and allow some treats occasionally!

Not snaking will be hard for me but I will have a bigger breakfast tio get through to lunch and take it a day at a time!

    B - yoghurt, seeds, banana
L - cous cous chickpeas, chorizo and veg stew
D - pasta, meatballs and mozarella.

    No seconds and no pud!
