I stayed the same so 0lb loss for me:(
I have been following the 30 day shred dvd (I'm on day 6) and I'm hoping that this has something to do with no loss. Hopefully it will show next week.
Although, I do feel much better in myself for including the exercise everyday:)

I belive its the way you feel that makes the difference, saviour that feeling and keep the momentum going, try to focus on the bigger picture, thats how i cope :)

Morning everyone. Pleased to say my scales show a 2 lb loss this morning (breathes a sigh of relief!)

Well done to everyone who's lost lbs, and to those who are disappointed, keep it up, I'm sure your efforts will show on the scales next week. Whatever the scientists tell us, we women know that losing weight is not an exact science, and our bodies sometimes seem to play us up just for the sake of it! (TOTM, water retention, bloating etc, etc)

If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?

jaxjax go to the supermarket aisle where they sell butter and take a pack in each hand. That's about 1lb. You lost that much!
STS's don't get despondent, you could have gained but you didn't so you must be doing something right to sts. You just have to do it a bit righter ;). It may sound daft to the newer ones but you have to eat enough or as daisiegg says your body will go into starvation mode.
Stick with it, we're all losers!!!

I have a 1/2lb loss this week. One pack of butter :D

    B - F&F sk milk
L - rest of last night's ribs, had too much veg so didn't manage it all. I wouldn't have said that before this forum, I'd have stuffed myself til I felt sick
    D - Chicken/veg rogan, couscous
S - satsuma, melon, grapes, apple

Have a sunny day whatever the weather :)
  • Morning!

Some great losses, well done everyone!

For those that have sts, hope you are ok, sure you will see a loss next week if you keep eating less calories than you are using.

I'm not planning to wi till tomorrow. Hope that is ok?

Have had two ok days, too many chocalates popped into my gob without thinking, but no drinking alcohol and healthy meals with better control over portions.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow and good luck to all those weighing in today.

I'm honestly in complete shock and really angry with myself and depressed all at the same time over the reading on the scale this morning. I'm exactly the same as I was last week, so a loss of 0 pounds for me. And here I thought I was doing well.

I feel like no matter how well I do with my eating and exercise, nothing changes.

I'm going to cut back even more on my calories, not eat carbs, and not eat gluten from here on out. Not like it will make a difference, but at least I'll feel like I'm doing something. I hate feeling like this. :wall:

So sorry you feel this way Mrs TM . Please don't reduce your calories by too much if you are also exercising loads. I don't think anyone could keep that up. Our bodies are funning things. Maybe yours missed the memo that today was weigh in day, and by next week all your hard work will have paid off.

Well done on your loss so far - you can do it :grouphug::grouphug:
  • Morning all

So pleased to report a 2 1/2 lb loss this week! :jI am so surprised because the sneaky mid week checks did not indicate this but I'm going to take it anyway!:T

I really feel for you if you haven't lost what you wanted this week. One piece of advice that helps me is to remember this is a marathon not a sprint and that our bodies are funny old things and sometimes looking at a week doesn't help but looking back over a month will:)

So, keep weighing each week, but remember to play the long game too!!

    Thank you for that.

I won't be going under 1200 calories per day.

I've also figured out that I need to drink just over 4 litres of water/tea per day. It's 1 fluid ounce per 2 pounds as a general rule, so that adds up to nearly 143 fluid ounces. At least I have a water bottle with a straw, and it only takes barely over 5 of them to reach that. Seeing that 5 bottles per day is much easier than thinking about the 143 fluid ounces!

Also - DH still wants to go eat Chinese tomorrow, so I'm going to let him. I'm going to eat what I want and how much I want (it's a buffet), but I probably won't eat anything else tomorrow. I'm also going to be absolutely sure to drink my water to help flush out all of the salt, and I'll be choosing the dishes with the most veggies and meat. Might have 1 spring roll, but no curry triangles, no rice, no lo mein, and definitely no chips.

I won't be weighing myself until next Friday. Seeing the scale go down every single morning, then having it jump back up to my starting weight overnight is very disheartening.

  • Morning all. Congratulations to everyone who`s lost or STS. I`m pleased to report a 2lb loss this week :j especially since I was still finishing Christmas leftovers at the weekend. On the plus side there are no more left now
  • I didn't realise you all had a weigh in day. I haven't done it today so will do it tomorrow morning. Do you have a 'roll-call' on on of the pages of people weighing in?

I've been good today despite having a really bad back! will post my food for the day later :)
