Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning all.

I'll be doing my WI tomorrow, if you don't mind - I did step on the scales this morning but they show that I've put back on last week's two pounds, plus another one. I know I've been struggling this week (I'm having trouble sticking to my good intentions when I'm hungry, and I've been out twice with friends which has added unnecessary extra calories in the form of cider :o) but I'm sure I haven't been bad enough to put on 3lbs in a week!

One thing I do need to sort out is something tasty but healthy and low in calories that I can nibble on when I get home from work, to take the edge off my appetite so I don't make such bad choices or overeat as much at dinner as I have done several times this week. Any ideas, peeps? (But not celery. I can't abide celery. _pale_)

    Today goes:

B - small bowl of porridge with a tsp of brown sugar
L - tomato and lentil soup; brown roll (no butter); small pack of savoury mix (peanuts and rice crackers with a spicy coating)
S - handful of dates; two small apples
D - cheese and tomato calzone - I'll make it smaller than usual and with RF mozzarella; stewed plums and a meringue nest (which I didn't have yesterday - I went out to get some cat food then decided that, as I was so close the pub where my friends were meeting for a pub quiz, I might as well join them :o); possibly a couple of glasses of something (either wine or an alcohol-free substitute, depending how my day goes ;))

Exercise - walk up to the shops at lunchtime; another walk this evening as I'll have some time to kill between finishing work and going to the hairdresser

Have a good day all: well done to the losers, and to those who STS, and I hope you feel better by now nuttytart.
Back after a very long break!
  • Loss of 2lb this week. Very happy with that, being good this week made up for last weekend! Have resolved not to drink this weekend so no extra calories from that. OH is on nights and I have no plans to go out so should be grand. I will be having a chinese on Sunday, but it will be 1 dish between me and my sister so can def fit it in as long as good rest of day.

    Well done all :T

Well done on the weight losses and hugs to CCP - It will be your turn next week x

It just goes to show that the 80/20 rule really works as in healthy 80percent of the time and some treats for 20 percent :T:T

Thanks Ragz for updating the scores on the doors x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Morning all :)

Weighed in this morning at 15st0lb so I've lost the 2lb I gained last week and another 1lb, so Ragz, can you mark me on the challenge as 1lb lost!

CCP how about carrot sticks/pepper strips and hoummous as an after work snack? in tesco they sell it in little pots, about a tablespoon each, so not too many cals, but as it's strong tasting it should distract you from hunger?

Today may be a bit of a lost cause, as I'm out for lunch for a friend's leaving do and I can feel a cold coming on which makes me want to comfort eat :o I wish I lost my appetite when feeling grotty instead.

    Breakfast: fruit corner
    Lunch: burger and chips :o
Dinner: HM chilli, which we didn't eat last night after all! We had pasta and tomato sauce with some meatballs instead as both too hungry to wait for chilli to finish cooking! I'll have a small portion as i'll have had a proper meal at lunch, but DH will still want dinner.

    Morning all,

    STS

Firstly, congratulations to all those with a weight loss for this week:j
I haven't been on here for a few days because I haven't stuck to my food plan. Wednesday was our wedding anniversery and went out for a meal to celebrate and from then on healthy eating has gone out the window!
At weigh in today I sts, which I am sort of pleased about but I know its going to be so hard to get back on track knowing my past record on trying to lose weight. I know snacking is my downfall so I need to do a whole new food plan to allow for that and keep a box in the fridge with just one days snacks in and get DH to hide the rest!

I'm extremely pleased to report a 4lb loss.
I also had someone at work comment that they thought I was loosing weight and that my waist was shrinking :D I have quite a lot of weight I need to loose so the 6lb so far seems like baby steps and it was great to hear that it was making a noticeable difference.

I've lost another 3/4 lb this week which puts my total weight loss at 2.5lbs. No need to update I'll highlight only when I've lost a full pound. Just wanted to put it in writing for myself really as my target is just over half a pound a week, so I am just about exceeding that.

Going out for a Chinese with the girls from work next Thursday as I'm being made redundant and the other three are being moved to other offices. What's the best chinese food to have? It will be 2 courses.

I don't eat Chinese food very often and always tend to go for the curry with fried rice - Mega calories I would imagine. So at the moment I would probably go for the chicken and sweetcorn soup followed by beef or chicken chow mien.

On the other hand you could just go for and really enjoy your meal with a vow to work harder next week.

    Enjoy your meal.

STS for me again today at 11st 10lb which I am actually very pleased with as I woke up with swollen boobs and fingers and would normally be at least a pound heavier at this time of the month. Had 3 bloods taken this morning, have to wait 10 days to find out results and why they want them in the first place! Hopefully I will find losing weight easier once they sort me out though...

Was reading an old copy of Good Housekeeping magazine while in the waiting room, there was a weight loss article about staying slim after losing weight, apparently only 2 in 10 people stay slim after 'Dieting' and the rest go on to put the weight back on and are generally heavier 5 years later than they were before. Which is why it's important to learn good eating and exercise habits for life rather than looking at it as a 'Diet' you are 'On' because that implies it is short term. Of course we knew this already but I am just reminding you all ;)

Well done on all the hard work this week, keep it up :T
