Did pretty good today for me. I did have quite a setback while trying to get through my scheduled strength training. My shoulder quite painfully reminded me that it isn't healed and will never be fully healed more than likely. So, back to gentle stretching instead of strength training for a while.
Breakfast (10 am-ish) - 1 slice wholemeal toast, 3 oz lean roast pork, 1 oz cheddar
Lunch (3 pm) - 2 small bowls veggie chilli, 1 banana, 1 yoghurt, 1 big bowl of steamed broccoli
Dinner - (7 pm - DH is currently cooking) - 1 slice wholemeal toast, 2 eggs, 1/2 can baked beans, 1 oz cheddar and 3 small hash browns (leftovers, wanted them out of the freezer/house)
I'm thinking about making a curry tomorrow, chicken and lots of veggies. Might bake some onion bhaji's and make a few pieces of naan as well.
Have to go out for milk tomorrow, so I'll get in a 20 minute walk. Right now, any exercise is better than what I've been getting, so the 20 minute walk is good for me.
Forgot to say: we had enough leftover chilli that DH is taking some to work tomorrow.0 -
looking forward to start diet. i am fed up with feeling bloated and heavy and not being able to wear nice clothes. I feel very old and frumpy and have no confidence I feel like crying sometimes when i look at my self my oh says I'm ok but i think he doesn't want to upset me. so I want to loose it for good this year. im setting a starting target of 56lbs but the first challenge 14 lbs
im also going to do more exercise walking to start with and then i will add something else. You can if you think you can .0 -

Hi
Pleased I found this thread. Need to get fitter and lose a dress size this year. Translates as one and a half stone.
We have been cooking from scratch all last year so it's now habit but portion sizes grew! Also as dog is older and stiffer we walk less of a morning. So exercise has dropped off too! Bad combination and one I need to reverse
I hope that if DH sees me actively doing stuff he will benefit too and join in.
We have swapped the usual dinner plates for smaller ones. Stage one!
Also have retrieved the scales from the back of the cupboard and put on the side so using them can become habit too when cooking and serving up
Now to read up on some recipes and inspiration here!Start info Dec11

Could I join in as well please Dragon? I used to take part in the challenges until a few months ago. I feel I need to re-organise my diet again.
I will be brave and weigh myself tomorrow, so will decide on my target then.
Thank you0 -

Good morning, and please can I join.
At the moment I dont know how much I need to lose. I am planning on weighing myself on Sunday.
I always cook from scratch but along with others, the portion sizes have been out of control. For me, my main problem is my very sweet tooth. I need good alternatives for that!:)Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -
Good morning all....
Dragon - please can I join in again? I fell off the wagon during the last challenge in the run up to Christmas and I even gained weight
But it is three months until my wedding and I MUST NOT BE A FAT BRIDE
Can you put me down for 12 lbs in the first instance. In reality I need to lose a lot more than that but I will try to be realistic!
Lovely to 'see' you all again and happy new year xxxxx0
