Morning all - good to see all the new people! Good luck!
Yesterday turned out to be a good day again - one small choc biscuit in the evening but well within the cal allowance.
No running today as we have gale force winds and pouring rain so I'm going to have a go at Tae Bo instead (sounds ridiculous in my Welsh accent :rotfl:). An American lady I chat to through MFP told me about it and the guru fella called Billy Blanks - there's a 40 min video on youtube to try that burns 450 cals apparently :eek:Sounds hard but will have a go.
Not going out tonight so no extra cals to worry about.
Hope everyone has a lovely evening and Happy New Year!0 -
Savesummore - haven't seen you around for a while - hope things are ok? xxx0

Just done the Tae Bo - good fun but the bloke was shouting "Praise to Jesus, Jesus wants to see you sweat, hold your head up, Jesus did!" all the time - hilarious but a good routine and I sweated tons!
When it finished I had a little nosey around youtube and found a walking workout by a lady called Leslie Sansone - not a bleached blond gym bunny but a fairly normal looking older lady. Watched a bit of it and think it would be great for those newer to exercise or who are maybe a little bit older.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRScb2l4Z4g
Its 45 mins and includes a warm up and 5 min or so cool down - says you walk the equivalent of 3 miles. No bouncing up and down and no dance moves to muck up like I always do!
Just thought it may help someone?
There's a 2 mile one (about 30 mins) toohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBgB_cqDiXs
and a 1 mile onehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=df2gn6-w0dE

Many thanks, WW!
I've taken a look as I don't want to be paying gym membership, and it's pitch black round here long before I get home from work, so not able to go out walking until much later in March.
The 45 minute one looks good, certainly got to be better than sitting on the sofa doing no exercise at all. I'm glad I skimmed through it though as I'll need to roll up the rug and move my coffee table before I start
I think I'll aim to do this 3 times a week minimum, to supplement my weekend walks outside.
Aiming to start tomorrow with a 5 mile walk outside and a 45 minute work out

Been feeling quite positive and motivated yesterday so decided to start my sensible eating today.
Just been for a 3mile run on our treadmill, last time I ran was 2nd Dec so long overdue!
B - porridge
L - 3 ryvita + philly
T - steak, 100g oven chips peas
We are out tonight so will have a few drinks but it is NYE after all.
Welshwoofer, you made me laugh with your religious workout on YouTube - very funny!
Happy New Year Everyone

can I revise my target, please...I inadvertently weighed myself this morning, and have put on 5lbs in 2 weeks, so need to aim higher than originally thought. I'm not starting properly until the weekend though as have left overs to use up. I had my last alcoholic drink last night, though...no alcohol January for me.
10lbs for me, please
many thanks....

Hi,
I think I will join you. I have lost 3 stone this year and need to loose another 2-2 and half stone to get down to what should be a good weight for me.
I will aim for 7lbs.
I will be weighing in tomorrow morning but that is so I can have a start the year weight. I will weight in again on saturday my normal day.
