So this is where you've been hiding Dragon! I would love to join the challenge, you can put me down for 14lbs! A friend of mine has a gym at her work and she can take guests for free any time she goes so we've decided to try and aim for 3 times a week starting next week. Hopefully we can keep this up and motivate each other to lose some weight! Also I'm planning on trying to cook more things from scratch and include a lot more vegetables in my diet so this should help. Plus logging everything on MFP again...
Oooh, put me down for 10lbs please :D
Hi folks , nice to see so many new and familiar names signing up for the next challenge.

I’m in again Dragon and following my disastrous December, having gained everything I lost , I’m back to square one and aiming to lose 7lbs. This time I have some real motivation – family celebration/holiday _party_ – so I’m determined to be fitter and looking my best.

Like others I’ve had enough of the rich food and am craving salads and fruit so I’ve started today
B – Greek yoghurt (2%) fresh pineapple and raspberries
    L – Mung Bean Soup, 2 Satsuma’s
D – Ham, huge salad and maybe a couple of boiled potatoes - need using up.
S – Grapes, 2 Crackers spread sparingly with Mackerel Pate (H/Bikers recipe)

Soundgirlrocks - I like idea of the “dryathon” and having an alcohol free January – been getting into bad habits throughout December but now that the h/m lemoncello is finished, as well as the baileys, with only about ¾ of a box of white wine left - should be finished on Hogmany  - I will be all ready to lift my glass of fizzy water on new years day.

Got all three of you down :D

Can I ask what might be a silly question (but maybe someone else is scratching their head over it too!)

If the next challenge starts on the 5th January, does that mean that on that day we weigh ourselves and that is are starting weight then the following week we declare our first loss?:)

We're not meant to have a loss:) (or the other thing:( ) to delcare on the 5th are we?

That's the one - the 5th is your official starting weight (not that you need to tell us that!) and then on the following Friday (ie the 11th [or Saturday 12th if you can't get to post on the Friday]) you post that you have lost x number of pounds. Later on the Saturday (or more likely the Sunday to allow for late postings) I will post the list and it will have lots and lots of lovely :) next to people's names (won't it :D)

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
Am feeling quite motivated the past couple of days, just hope it lasts. Missed breakfast which is something I never do, but got carried away doing other things. Can't believe I forgot to eat!
L - out to a coffee lounge with friends so prob soup and a roll
D - lamb chop, broccoli, leeks, broad beans and a baked parsnip with a little gravy, can't eat food 'dry'
S - grapes, melon, nana, satsuma
E - walking around a Sunday market fighting to keep my purse closed :o
  • Hi can I join please? I lost 4 stone with sw but put nearly a stone on since last Xmas 2011! Spent the whole of this year trying to resist my sugar cravings and failing! Now decided that I am better off cutting out all sweet things as I can't do moderation! Also I can't afford to keep going to slimming club. So do I just post my weight on 5th January?
My secret fantasy is having 2 men....
    1 cooking and 1 cleaning.
  • Hey!

I'd like to join the thread too, please! I've been letting things slide for too long and need to lose the 2 stone of fat that has crept on in the last few years.

My ridiculous festive blowout will be out the window on new year's day (if I don't need a hangover curer McD's....)

Good to see you both - if you want to join in the challenge can you message me how much you hope to lose over the 12 weeks and then I can add you to the listing (I can't do it now because we are migrating my computer info across and I would need it again in any case!)

Storytime, you don't need to post a starting weight - just every Friday/Saturday post any loss (or gain :o) that has happened that week and then I can update the spreadsheet.

I'd like to join! I have lots to lose, but my goal for the 12 weeks is going to be 20 pounds. DH and I are TTC, so I may be forced to stop losing for a while. Might as well keep working on losing until that happens though. :)

Let me know if there is anything else I need to do to join! :)

    Yearly Grocery Budget - £100.77/ £3500. January Treats Budget - £11.80 / £100.
  • Hi

can I revise my target, please...I inadvertently weighed myself this morning, and have put on 5lbs in 2 weeks, so need to aim higher than originally thought. I'm not starting properly until the weekend though as have left overs to use up. I had my last alcoholic drink last night, though...no alcohol January for me.

    10lbs for me, please

    many thanks....

    LB xx
